"I'm here for the trout sex." This week we are talking shark movies once again. We discuss Shark Lake, a movie barely starring Dolph Lundgren.
On this month's episode it's Dolph vs. a bloodthirsty shark! Who doesn't want to see that?! Unfortunately, the film's not nearly as exciting as it sounds... Yes, this month we're chatting the 2015 shark thriller, Shark Lake! In this Jaws knock-off, Lundgren plays Clint Grey, a prison parolee who must not only reconnect with his young daughter, but ALSO rid a small town lake of a bull shark that is eating the locals. Thankfully, he has a sheriff's deputy and PHD professor nearby who will not only assist him in this huge undertaking, but manage to take up more screen time than our man of the hour! Making his inaugural appearance on the show is Kevin Dotson, co-host of the Six Degrees of Schwarzenegger podcast! In what ways is this film essentially a cameo role for Dolph? Why are there virtually zero scares in the entire 85-minute run time? Could a bull shark even survive in Lake Tahoe? And could the lead sheriff's deputy be one of the most annoying characters to grace a shark film? Listen in as Kevin and I go swimming in Shark Lake! Major thanks to Kevin Dotson for joining me! Please be sure to check out Kevin's podcast, Six Degrees of Schwarzenegger, which can be found on its own feed as well as the Last of the Action Heroes Podcast Network! Please feel free to rate and review the show on iTunes, Stitcher, or wherever else you go to subscribe! Please be sure to check out the show's official webpage and Facebook page: www.imustbreakthispodcast.wordpress.com; www.facebook.com/imustbreakthispodcast. Show's opening and closing music is "Sports Action" by Audionautix.

What happens when you put Dolph Lundgren up against a shark? To the town's disbelief, there is a shark in a lake attacking the locals and it's up to Deputy Hernandez to bring the man who has a history in the illegal collection of exotic animals to face the law. Shark Lake may be just as entertaining as the title suggests. There really is a shark in a lake, but more importantly, Dolph Lundgren starts in this movie making it almost impossible to pass up. We love Dolph here on Final Friday and wanted to give this film the attention it deserves. It's the final week of Sharktoberfest! Dustin and Logan start the week by proving you can record a podcast about a movie you do not remember at all. This week we started to cover Shark Lake from 2015, but it was just not something we wanted to subject ourselves to after we started it. So instead we covered Werewolves Within. It’s a brand new episode of What’s New to Netflix Instant!? and we have our first guest on this podcast, Savannah. We discuss all sorts of new titles that are coming to June Netflix and we use state of the art technology to figure out what exactly is coming to your queue this month! (Some minor technical diffuculties with the audio for the first 10 mins, sorry) Then up next, we fake our own deaths with Adam Sandler and David Spade in The Do-Over from 2016, then we go back to school with Dolph Lundgren as we try to uncover a flash drive hidden in a kindergarten class in Kindergarten Cop 2 from 2016 and rounding out the show, we join up with Dolph again for DOUBLE THE DOLPH as we try to capture a shark or something in Shark Lake from 2015. All of this plus the 72nd anniversary of something, Urban Outfitters making Bob Ross popular, gangster sharks, lots of obscure documentaries, the hopelessness of being a Pokemon trainer and Cuba Gooding Jr. eating his cell phone at the club. got a suggestion for the show?: whatsnewtonetflixinstant@gmail.com
Earth is a bad neighborhood, folks. That’s clearer than ever this week, as Liz and Evan suffered through the absurd and action-packed waste of time SHARK LAKE. Join them as they lament the film’s insanely low production value, ponder who the real villain is, and get worked up about the totally-overboard CGI. Meanwhile, Evan gets distracted by other terrible shark movies and Liz just wants to talk about shark science. If, like us, you’d rather just be watching Jaws, make sure to check out nowscreaming.com, and let us know your opinion on Twitter @nowscreaming. Don’t forget about the three things that all animals do: rate, review, and subscribe to the show on iTunes.
Steve & Izzy discuss this streaming movie about a horrible father who smuggles animals(Dolph Lundgren) is imprisoned... and then rejoins the movie about 40 minutes later while a Lake Placid meets Jaws on a Blair Witch budget is going on. Regardless, there is plenty of good cheese to be had. We also pair that cheese with delicious selections from Uncommon Brewers, Headlands Brewing & Freewheel Brewing all based here in the San Francisco Bay Area... like this shark-riddled lake. So grab a few local brews wherever you are, turn on Netflix, and chill with us!

It's Shark Week, folks, and Joshua Harris from the Chicago riffing group Down In Front joins us this time around to talk about the 2015 schlockfest Shark Lake! Dolph Lundgren "stars" as Clint Gray, an ex-con exotic animal smuggler whose last-minute dumping of smuggled bull sharks into Lake Tahoe leads to a Jaws-like fracas that only he and stalwart policewoman Meredith can solve. Featuring shoddy CG sharks, beach-noir subplots that appear and disappear at will, and barely any Dolph Lundgren, this was one of the more fascinating slogs we've dealt with in awhile. Check out what we thought, along with our custom cocktail and drinking game! (Thanks to our sponsor Cards Against Humanity as part of the Chicago Podcast Coop!)
This weeks podcast involves the Ivan Drago Universe as we "dive" into Shark Lake. Then we discuss the infamous Deathbed.
