The Spin Chagrin, a concept that finds Frank having to watch a movie he's never seen before based on the random spin of a wheel filled with off-the-wall genres, continues into its third year; the twist this year is that all the categories are quotables from Frank himself. In this episode, Frank's category was "The Rough Around the Edges Guy from Boston Who Doesn't Have the Best Social Graces But Has a Heart of Gold.” For this category, he naturally watched two movies from Adam Sadler's production company, Happy Madison, both starring David Spade: 2016's buddy action comedy The Do-Over and 2020's black rom-com The Wrong Missy. For the first real time ever, the 2 Guys also discuss professional wrestling in a fairly broad way referencing this weekend's Wrestlemania show.

They discuss the solid series in Tampa Bay before laying two goose eggs to start the Yankees series, with a problem that has been occurring all season rearing its ugly head again: the inability to hit good pitching. They also look at the incredible work of Bassitt to get to 200 innings and the circumstances required to get there, Gausman setting a career high in strikeouts, Chapman and Belt showing a bit of power as part of the new lineup structure, and the weird results that have led to the Jays being where they are in the postseason race and what has to happen to get in. I've been reading again. In my last personal growth book (Do-Over by Jon Acuff), my mind was blown a little bit by his thoughts on HUSTLE. I am like you. I was totally into hustling 6 or 7 years ago and realized that maybe that's not what life is supposed to be like. Jon opened my eyes to some new ways to approach hard work and goals and how focusing on those thing instead of trying to do it all at once can actually be more effective than putting your head down and hustling. I am sharing my thoughts and his and what I have been working on lately in this new episode. So tell me, What are you focusing on? HER EMPOWERED DIVORCEHOST: Beverly Price, Divorce & Empowerment CoachGUEST: Ilyssa Panitz, Divorce Journalist & Commentator SUMMARY: On this episode of Her Empowered Divorce we're finding out why – far from a tragic ending – divorce can signal the start of a whole new chapter in life. Host Beverly Price's guest is Ilyssa Panitz, a multi-media journalist who is an expert on the topic. A survivor herself, Ilyssa knows how important it is to reclaim our voices and recognize our agency in the face of challenges like domestic violence or financial uncertainty. It's a process that starts with mindset and a determination to #Survive & Thrive! “You're going to feel so different as an individual (post-divorce),” says Ilyssa, host of “The Divorce Hour” on CRN Digital Talk Radio. “I think women develop more confidence, are happier, feel more at peace and start liking themselves.” You'll learn why there's no rush to start up a new relationship (especially if you haven't spent any time “dating yourself” first!) and how to cultivate a deeper appreciation for all that the mature you brings to the table. Divorce can be your new beginning, but it's not a journey to be taken alone, says Ilyssa. Reach out for the support of good friends – new and old – and consider enlisting the wisdom of trusted coaches and advisers to help get through one of life's trickiest and most stressful transitions – only to emerge feeling stronger and better than ever on the other side! “Divorce is really just your intermission,” says Ilyssa. “The first act of your life may be done, but we have yet to see what's going to play out.” Keep up with all Ilyssa's latest thoughts by tuning in for "The Divorce Hour," her weekly program on CRN Digital Talk Radio. Piano Parent Podcast: helping teachers, parents, and students get the most of their piano lessons.
Back in February, I interviewed Thomas Grayston (You can catch that interview at www.PianoParentPodcast.com/321). When the official interview was over, I asked Thomas if I could ask him one more question. “Is there a moment in your parenting that you can share where you would really like a ‘Do Over'?” So often on social media and in my interviews with guests, we try to put our best foot forward. That is as it should be. We want to offer professional, succinct information that will be helpful to listeners. The reality is that most of my guests are parents just like you. They are in the trenches with busy schedules, trying to keep up with practice routines, dealing with tired and cranky kids, moody teenagers, and doing the best they can. I hope you enjoy this quick look behind the curtain to hear real stories from Thomas and me. You can find links and other resources for this episode at www.PianoParentPodcast.com/343.

Piano Parent Podcast: helping teachers, parents, and students get the most of their piano lessons.
Back in October, I interviewed Fernanda Nieto (You can catch that interview at www.PianoParentPodcast.com/314). When the official interview was over, I asked Fernanda if I could ask her one more question. I hope you enjoy this quick look behind the curtain to hear real stories from Fernanda and me. You can find links and other resources for this episode at www.PianoParentPodcast.com/342.
One of my favorite expression all kids use is: “I want a Do-Over.” I hear it after beating my kids in a fierce match of ping pong, or after one of my sons beats another in an intense game of basketball, or after Grace beats her brothers in a friendly (frequently turning violent) game of Sorry. It may sound childlike to insist on a “Do-Over,” but embracing the potential within the expression could be transformative for adults, too. Let me explain.
