After joining us to dissect Sly & Arnie action flick Escape Plan we just had to have our first ever guest Crag join us for the Minisode. So first he helps us take on undefeated Kenny in a Sylvester Stallone Movie Draft - will he help us finally end this run of draft dominance? Then we each give our Top Five Escapes from movies - and it gets weird - as usual. **Please forgive the audio issues on this one, they may have been caused by internet gremlins or by the challenge of recording Crag whilst he is housed in an illegal offshore floating prison.

Welcome back ragers to the best movie review podcast on the planet. The rage rolls on from the Film Rage Studio. This week the Film Rage Crew went to six films in cinema. First up is a film about unicorns. Then another underwhelming horror movie from Blumhouse. Then find out if we liked Bob Trevino Likes It. Then find out how bad the new Jason Statham movie was. It was written by Sly Stallone so that might give you a clue. Then another penguin movie. How many is that in the last year? Then finally our friends at The Calgary Underground Film Festival had a screening of the Japanese flick Cloud. And then in the Rage or Dare segment Bryce was forced to watch the Debra Messing film The Wedding Date. Many boxing movies have surpassed what Robert Wise and Paul Newman brought to the screen in Somebody Up There Likes Me, but their biopic DID win 2 technical Oscars. Newman is not at his best playing Rocky Graziano, an angry young delinquent who turned a life spent in various forms of trouble into a championship boxing career. He was still new to movies though and wasn't to be laconic and cool as he get to be in other roles. This was clearly a huge influence on the most-famous fictional boxer, Sly Stallone's Rocky Balboa. Ryan had fun with that comparison in this solo show, which is the 653rd edition of Have You Ever Seen. So step into the ring and take advantage of your hate as we ring in the spring this Oscar Month with a monologue about Somebody Up There Likes Me. Well, Actually: the content in the 3rd trivia question is inaccurate: Newman had 10 Oscar nominations in total, 9 for acting and 1 for producing (plus, Denzel Washington has 10 in total too because he was nominated for producing Fences). Also, to be crystal clear, the next solo show won't be on April 4th. It will be on Monday, March 24th. Bev will miss that day as she continues to recover from her surgery. Gianni Versace was a runway iconoclast who outfitted the likes of Madonna, Demi Moore, Prince, Sylvester Stallone, and Don Johnson. He lived like Louis XIV and counted Princess Di and Elton John among his friends. He was plagued by rumors of ties to the Calabrian mafia and a secret health diagnosis. Those rumors continued to persist long after he was gunned down by a serial killer who had been on the lam after murdering four other men in three states. Welcome to another episode of Death Don't Do Fiction, the AIPT Movies podcast! The podcast about the enduring legacy of our favorite movies! This February we're celebrating “Dreddruary,” where we cover movies based on the British comic book character, Judge Dredd! In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss Sylvester Stallone's misguided 1995 schlockfest, Judge Dredd!Recycled food! Bedazzled codpieces! Distracting lifts! A cool, creepy cyborg! A shockingly sneaky, giant robot! Lethal holograms! Futuristic court drama! Stylish garbs of justice designed by Gianni Versace! A strong score by Predator's Alan Silvestri and cinematography by Aliens' Adrian Biddle! An original song from The Cure! A surprisingly faithful comic adaptation in every way except for the lead character! A visual treat with incredible production design, animatronics, and visual effects, including one of the greatest fictional mega cities in cinema! A solid cast that includes James Remar (briefly), Armand Assante, Max von Sydow, Diane Lane, Rob Schneider unfortunately, and Sylvester Stallone's ego derailing the movie! Dark themes of police corruption and eugenics in this silly movie that maybe works better as a disappointing sequel to Demolition Man, from a frustrated director who loved both the source material and apparently Blade Runner! In addition, Alex shares his spoiler-free thoughts on Captain America: Brave New World, Oz Perkins' new horror comedy, The Monkey, and the final nail in the Sonyverse coffin, Kraven the Hunter! You can find Death Don't Do Fiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends! The Death Don't Do Fiction podcast brings you the latest in movie news, reviews, and more! Hosted by supposed “industry vets,” Alex Harris, Tim Gardiner, and Matt Paul, the show gives you a peek behind the scenes from three filmmakers with oddly nonexistent filmographies. You can find Alex on Twitter, Bluesky, or Letterboxd @actionharris. Matt is a terrific artist that you can find on Instagram @no_wheres_ville. Tim can't be found on social media because he doesn't exist. Add some more explicit warnings—Dori will make you blush and confuse Emmanuelle with Emmanuel Lewis. What happens when you return Sly Stallone's call? You make a song with more “Bams” than the entire Rocky franchise. Dori reviews '80s anime, and Paulo discovers a forgotten Keanu Reeves film that may have inspired his Bill & Ted character—but definitely features Aunt Becky in her undies. Full House, anyone? In this sequel to the original First Blood, Sly Stallone is a one-man wrecking crew, single-handedly killing more Vietnamese soldiers in one weekend than the entire American military did in a decade during the war. Rambo is sent to Vietnam to rescue some POW's and fall in love along the way. What could possibly go wrong dating John Rambo? I'm sure it will be fine. We had a great time discussing this movie You will have a great time listening to the podcast.

Sly Stallone tops this aptly-named blockbuster by literally hanging off cliffs. John Lithgow is a big bad guy (not Bigfoot) for this weathering heights heist-gone-wrong in the Colorado wilderness. The conversation drifts to nostalgic memories about movies, sports uniforms, and the Rocky franchise collectibles. The hosts also share their excitement for upcoming boxing-themed merchandise, leaving the audience with a lighthearted, chatty tone.

All that and more from 30, 20, and 10 years ago this week!
Nick is unbelievably thrilled to welcome legendary actress Adrienne Barbeau to the podcast to talk about her incredible career and her upcoming appearance at The Flashback Weekend Horror Convention in Rosemont, Illinois. Nick and Adrienne discuss her performances in classic movies such as "Escape from New York," "Creepshow," "Back to School," and many more. They also talk about her experiences working on the groundbreaking Norman Lear show "Maude," and delve into her stage and voice-over work (she is Catwoman!), music credits, and the books she has written. Then, Esmeralda Leon and Nick have fun talking about Sandra Bullock and her "kooky-crazy-lady" movies, the weirdness of Young Adult books, creepy AI pictures, and how "brilliant" the Sly Stallone 1993 movie "Demolition Man" really is.
