Another fifth week is upon us, the perfect excuse to take a quick-hit look at one of DC Comics' actual fifth-week bonuses: Superman: The Man of Tomorrow #1, first of an ongoing quarterly title designed to ensure a Superman book came out each and every week of the year. We examine this curious artifact of a publishing strategy the market will no longer bear, along with a brief overview of Superman's subplot-laden "Triangle Era" in general. This mini-episode answers the two big questions: 1.) What would George Costanza think of '90s Superman comics? and 2.) Where do your hosts fall on the "mullet vs. long hair" debate? (This episode has a moderate audio quality issue, for which we apologize. But it was probably Lex Luthor's fault somehow.)

Superman's drawn a line in the sand; Doomsday goes no further than Metropolis. Though he's giving it his all, The Man of Steel is still struggling to put this beast down. It's a fight to the death in Superman: The Man of Steel #19 and Superman (vol. 2) #75. And then... Superman's declared war on the crime bosses in Metropolis.
