We are super excited about this episode that was totally unexpected, unplanned, but definitely set up by God. We got a chance to catch up with William, who was just on a special missions trip that started in Minnesota and ended in Southern California. Its amazing how God wove together different encounters between our recent YWAM team and William, and even crazier how he ended up attending Catalyst on the same Sunday they returned, and then how he just happened to be at the Freedom Center when we were recording our YWAM recap episodes. He shares about his trip, and it is totally one of obedience and stepping out in faith, and how God showed up in so many ways. This is definitely a can't miss episode! ---------------- Don't forget that you can listen and subscribe to the Engage to Flourish Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Google Podcasts!

We're halfway through January already—that was fast! For the past weeks, I've shared with you power moves to make your 2023 more in alignment with your business, and now, we're down to the last episode of this series. Just a recap, I've talked about taking a pause and making things more personal in the past episodes. Today, I'll be sharing TWO power moves for a more aligned year. One reality in having a business is, as much as we want to, we can't please everybody. And when we don't please everyone, ie. someone thinks your services are too expensive or they want to change your process, this can lead you to question yourselves or your offerings (but more than likely, , those people just aren't your target audience anyway!)) In this episode, I'll share with you how you can overcome situations like this and how you can offer more to your target audience *winks* Tune in as I talk about: -Benefits of NOT taking things personally -How BEING REAL can increase your influence online -Why you should assume the BEST in your business -How creating MORE offers promotes ONE offering This episode is a blast and I hope you'll learn a lot! Share with me your thoughts by sliding into my DMs. You know where to find me ;)
COVID-19 infections may look different in 2022 than they did in 2020, thanks to vaccines, infection-induced immunity, and new treatments—but that doesn't mean we can rest easy. Dr. Paul Sax, clinical director of infectious diseases at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Infectious Diseases talks with Dr. Josh Sharfstein about the overall state of COVID-19 treatments and vaccines, what we still don't know about this virus, and why it's important to stay vigilant.

In this episode i breakdown the quote: Take Nothing Personal. Most people are just revealing how they feel about themselves. The caption to this quote is: Honestly, nothing should bother you. Words only hurt if you let them. When you are solid with yourself and you are grounded with “what is” it truly doesn't matter what people say. You will never be surprised or feel “blind sided” when you understand the root cause behind the moves people make. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/quotebreakdown/support

In my latest podcast episode, I again welcome daughter and colleague Jen Maneely. We are continuing our series on The Elegant Pivot, this time to dive into the practice of taking nothing personally. When a mother and daughter sit down to talk about taking nothing personally, anything can happen. If we had tried to have this conversation a few years ago, it would have been like navigating a minefield. We would have tried to avoid each other's hot buttons and not hurt the other's feelings. Not so in this podcast. Instead, this conversation is full of productive tips on what to do in place of taking things personally, like pocket questions.I love pocket questions. A pocket question is a premeditated question to ask instead of the reaction you typically have. They are a way to interrupt predicable patterns and open the door to something new. We go over several examples in this conversation, as well as some scenarios that show you ways to assume positive intent – even in circumstances where the it's clear the other person might not have positive intent.
When coaching a team of new inexperienced players, take absolutely nothing for granted. There isn't anything obvious in this situation. You have to break down everything to it most basic level. You have to teach all of the fundamentals of the game and assume nothing.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/everythingfastpitch)
This week we're replaying a classic episode where your hosts Steve Lowry and Yvonne Godfrey interview Victor Vital of Barnes & Thornburg LLP (https://btlaw.com/) Remember to rate and review GTP in iTunes: Click Here To Rate and Review Episode Details: Texas Lawyer Verdicts Hall of Fame inductee Victor Vital, a partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, shares how he secured a take-nothing defense verdict in a business fraud claim against his clients, CAT Seattle and Ascend Health Corporation. Both companies countersued Jim Graham, a Dallas oil magnate, and his company, Duffy, for illegally wiretapping a conversation that resulted in a $2 million purchase agreement. Jim Graham secretly and without consent recorded a critical conversation with a "spy pen" during business negotiations. A Dallas County, Texas jury sided with Victor's clients regarding the wiretapping claim, resulting in the recovery of attorneys' fees. Click Here to Read/Download the Complete Trial Documents Guest Bio: Victor Vital Victor's trial experience ranges from patent litigation, unfair competition, contract disputes, business tort cases, and high net worth divorce cases to trade secret and non-compete litigation, real estate disputes, products liability matters, catastrophic injury and death cases, consumer fraud matters, and white-collar criminal matters. Because of his broad trial experience, clients and lawyers turn to Victor regardless of subject matter when they need a trial lawyer for their important cases. Beyond his trial experience, Victor has successfully resolved through settlement and dismissal all types of complex civil litigation matters. Moreover, Victor has secured favorable plea deals and indictment declinations in a range of white-collar criminal matters, including wire fraud and mail fraud, tax evasion, securities fraud, Ponzi cases, and money laundering. Notably, Victor was inducted into the Texas Lawyer Verdicts Hall of Fame for securing a No. 1 verdict -- the largest employment verdict in Texas in 2012 – for a corporate plaintiff in a complicated noncompete/trade secrets matter. In 2016, Victor secured the largest (No. 1) verdict in the fraud category in the Texas Lawyer Top Texas Verdicts & Settlements of 2016, with a jury verdict of nearly $34 million (including $16 million in punitive damages) in a partnership dispute involving claims of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. This top 2016 jury verdict also made the National Law Journal Top 100 list. Victor is often brought onboard on the eve of trial – in the final months or weeks leading up to trial – because of his deep trial experience. Moreover, Victor is a prolific author and invited lecturer/educator on trial issues. He also teaches trial practice techniques and provides commentary on major trials and cases in the media. Victor previously served as a partner in national and international law firms and has prosecuted cases in a prominent district attorney's office. I'm going to be great. I've chosen my path. It's not a typical one. But it's mine. I'm a Creator. I love being alive and SPREADING POSITIVITY.

Today's Quotes:"Don't worry about your problem. Don't worry about the worst thing in the world. Find the best thing in the world, and It will take care of everything. Find the Self." - MoojiExcerpt from 'Silence of the Heart' by Robert Adams--"It starts within your heart, and begins to spread all through your body, encompassing your body. Your body merges with it, and it continues to spread until all of us in this room have become it. We are no longer human. We have become it. It keeps on expanding an d expanding until the entire world is it . It keeps on expanding until all the galaxies, planets, stars, and solar systems are it. It keeps on expanding, expanding until the entire universe is it. There is no longer anything that is separate from it. Everything is it. We may call it consciousness, the Self, absolute reality,. This is it. This is your real nature. ...The world and all its manifestations cannot fool me any longer. The universe with its planets and galaxies and solar systems cannot fool me any longer. I can see through these things to the source. I can feel the source because I am the source. I have always been the source. There was never a time when I was not. As far as thoughts are concerned, they do not exist. They can no longer bother me or make my life miserable. As far as others are concerned, there are no others. There is only the source. I can no longer be deceived, There is no thing that has ever transpired in my life that can hurt me. I forgive everyone and everything, and especially myself. I am the power, and the presence, and the glory. If I am that, so is everybody else. So is everything else. " "Don't be too quick to interpret the moment. Just keep quiet. My encouragement would always be: never think anything is against you, everything is blessing. Why should it be different? Just be quiet. Let it all work itself out." - MoojiToday's Practice: Don't take anything personal today. There's no person here, no buttons to be pushed, and no person over there to do the button pushing. Anger will still come, thoughts will still come, but they are not you. You are Love. And you can be Love while noticing anger and thoughts of judgement and assessment. Just keep some attention on Love... on the flame, like nothing else matters. And pretty soon you'll see that by focusing on the Light, everything... EVERYTHING becomes Light. Only Love is here. I Love you, Niknikki@curlynikki.com
