Disney+ has arrived, and while everyone is busy obsessing over THE MANDALORIAN (and fretting over "Maclunkey"), let's not forget that means we suddenly have access to a wide variety of animated X-Men fare. On this episode, we discuss the three X-Men animated series that are available on the service - the classic '90s X-MEN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, the high-school based X-MEN: EVOLUTION, and the surprisingly mature, one-season wonder, WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN. Plus, we check in with some quick thoughts on the first issues that have so far been released in the "Dawn of X" event (before a deeper dive next episode), and Joe takes Trevor to task for abandoning him to a harsh November snowstorm in Michigan. All this, and more! facebook.com/daysoffuturepodcast Twitter & Instagram: @dofpodcast
In honor of Logan (2017) we unfortunately watched 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine: The Really Bad One. Too harsh? Maybe. But we did have to actually rewatch it and compare our first and second impressions so whatever. In our second act (21:40) we discuss the X-Men universe! Our second podcast during Toronto Comic Con we interview the talented Nick Bradshaw! His first pro work came as penciler for Army of Darkness comics from Dynamic Forces, then moved on to DC/Wildstorm and worked on titles such as Danger Girl and creator owned Rokkin. It was his contributions through the Hero Initiative though that got his work recognized by an Editor with Marvel that started Bradshaw down the path to regular artist on Wolverine & The X-Men with Jason Aaron and many spectacular contributing artists in 2011.

El otro evento Marvel que estamos siguiendo, Battle of the Atom, llega a su anteúltimo capítulo en Wolverine & The X-Men #37.

Hullo! This week on Decompressed I'm joined by Steven Sanders. He's different. He's a drawing man. For the first time, we're talking about the drawing! Specifically, about how he approached Jason Aaron's script for WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN 20. We talk about paneling, character design, how to make hand cannons more awesome, integrating bits of manga he loves into American superhero comics, comedy and more. And the study aids can be found over here!
Victory! We may be getting our books on time this week!
