Listeners of Books in the Freezer - A Horror Fiction Podcast that love the show mention:The Books in the Freezer - A Horror Fiction Podcast is an absolute gem for fans of horror novels and thrillers. As a newcomer to the podcast, I am already hooked and have started compiling an exciting list of horror books to read. Stephanie, the host, brings such interesting themes to each episode and has the best guests on who provide thoughtful reviews of books. This podcast has truly reignited my love for horror books and has expanded my reading horizons.
One of the standout aspects of this podcast is Stephanie's talent as a host. She has a lovely voice that keeps the show moving at a balanced pace. The podcast never feels overly structured or too free-for-all, striking just the right balance. Stephanie's conversations with guests are engaging, and it's so much fun to listen to writers hype up their favorite horror books. The positive tone of the show is also refreshing, with a focus on what they like about a given topic rather than dislikes. The Final Girl Song and Chilling Obsession traditions add an extra layer of enjoyment to each episode.
The range of guests on this podcast is impressive, covering both well-known authors and avid readers who provide diverse perspectives on horror fiction. Stephanie asks thoughtful questions that delve into different subgenres and styles within horror. With each episode, my TBR list grows longer as I discover new authors and styles that I wouldn't have known about otherwise.
While I have fallen in love with this podcast, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. Some listeners have commented that Stephanie's voice can be too quiet compared to the guest speakers, making it difficult to hear her part of the discussion at times. This issue could be addressed by adjusting audio levels during editing or finding ways to improve sound quality.
In conclusion, The Books in the Freezer - A Horror Fiction Podcast is easily one of the best horror book podcasts out there. Stephanie's talent as a host shines through in her engaging conversations with guests. The wide variety of subgenres covered and the positive vibes of the show make it a must-listen for horror enthusiasts. This podcast has rekindled my love for horror books and introduced me to a plethora of new authors and styles. I highly recommend giving it a listen, but be prepared for your TBR pile to explode!
