We continue our talk about R.L. Stine's Fear Street trilogy put out by Netflix. Does the middle child of a three-movie series keep up the momentum? We row out to Camp Nightwing to find out!
Settle in with your curses, complicated exes, and slashers and listen as we unbox the 2021 movie trilogy Fear Street. Directed by Leigh Janiak. from Wikipedia: Fear Street Part One: 1994 After a series of brutal slayings, a group of teenagers take on an evil force that's plagued their notorious town for centuries. Fear Street Part Two: 1978 In the cursed town of Shadyside, a killer's murder spree terrorizes Camp Nightwing and turns a summer of fun into a gruesome fight for survival. Fear Street Part Three: 1666 Thrust back to 1666, Deena learns the truth about Sarah Fier. Back in 1994, the friends fight for their lives — and Shadyside's future. Find these movie on Netflix. This was a very big summer for Emily Rudd. Not only was it announced that she joined the cast of the Amazon series, Hunters, for Season 2 and was set to star in HBO Max's Moonshot alongside Cole Sprouse and Lana Condor, but her star also soared courtesy of the popularity of Netflix's Fear Street trilogy. Rudd first appears in the second film of the series, Fear Street 1978. Cindy Berman is a Shadyside resident determined to leave the troubled town behind despite the fact that her sister Ziggy (Sadie Sink) is convinced there's nothing they can do -- all Shadysiders are doomed. The reality of their situation comes into focus for Cindy during the summer of 1978 at Camp Nightwing when the Shadyside campers and counselors are targeted by an ax-wielding killer. Given my confidence that Fear Street is bound to become a genre classic and my sky high hopes we'll be watching Rudd's work for years to come, having her on an episode of Collider Ladies Night was an absolute must. Check out this chat to hear all about how Rudd got her start with music videos, what the audition process was like for Fear Street, how they pulled off that gnarly Fear Street 1978 ending and so much more! The Classic Film: Madman (1981) "A legendary psychopathic murderer stalks a summer camp” (IMDb.com). In a movie that probably thinks it's more serious than it is, this killer—functionally a combination of Jason and Candyman—probably could have been replaced by Bigfoot and been more interesting. We start celebrating Halloween a little early this year on What's New to Netflix Instant!? when we talk about all three of the new Fear Street movies streaming now on Netflix, but not before running down all of the new films and shows hitting Netflix in August 2021. Next, evil things are happening in the town of Shadyside when a masked murderer starts going after some teens in the first film of the series, Fear Street: Part One 1994. Then we go back in time to Camp Nightwing where the only survivor of the Shadyside killings tells her story of what really happened in Fear Street: Part Two 1978. And in the conclusion of the series, it's up to the teens to figure out the root of all the evil in their hometown when they uncover a shocking secret in Fear Street: Part Three 1666. All of this plus glitchy Skype noise, disappearing wives and/or girlfriends, tournament-style anime shows, a real-life Breaking Bad Jr., fear of the internet, fear of social media, and a hockey team that had an offer they could not refuse. got a suggestion for the show?: whatsnewtonetflixinstant@gmail.com

This Wednesday, August 4, at 3 pm, Adam A. Donaldson and Candice Lepage will discuss: REVIEW: The Fear Street Trilogy (2021). Summer is a great time for horror movies,so why not take in three of them back-to-back. Netflix had an unusual weekly release schedule for this ambitious horror trilogy set in three different time periods. It's another deep dive into RL Stine's Fear Street-iverse--this time into the warm and totally safe Camp Nightwing circa 1978. I'm no Dean Martin, but it's beginning to look a lot like Friday the 13th up in here, and not the good ones. Let's dig deep and see just how we feel about the surprisingly okay middle chapter of the Fear Street trilogy.

These two hairy-belly men discuss the second installment in this Fear Street movie 'chillogy'. This homage to Friday the 13th is brutal and there are a lot of sweet, innocent children getting axes in the face. Fear Street 1978 is the second installment to the Fear Street Trilogy and sequel to Fear Street 1994. In 1994 Deena and Josh have restrained Sam and seek help from C. Berman who has lived through a Sarah Fier encounter. To find clues about how to save Sam, Deena asks C. Berman to recount the events of Camp Nightwing. After I saw a teaser for 1978 at the end of Fear Street 1994, I was really excited. I was going to see more of the story, more about C. Berman, and more about the infamous Sarah Fier. Just so you guys know, this specifically focuses on C. Berman and her experience at Camp Nightwing.Movie Complex - Netflix TV Show Playlisthttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1unqO_9ZDFJg1_NC_Ey7XLRWJl7j1UPk#moviecomplexchannel #fearstreet1978 #fearstreet #netflixoriginal #teenhorror #horrormovie #horrorMovie Complex Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/moviecomplexchannel/Movie Complex Twitterhttps://twitter.com/moviecomplexBite-sized Movie Review Podcast:http://www.redcircle.com/shows/bite--sized-movie-reviewsAFFILIATE LINKSGRUV.com: The Forever Purge = https://bit.ly/3hwtGE1ALIENS COOKBOOK! = http://shrsl.com/32tbgShareasale: Affiliate marketing program = https://bit.ly/33W14NPPlease give this video a thumbs up, subscribe and ring the notification bell for alerts on new content.SUBSCRIBE HERE @ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCffX...DISCLAIMER: Links included in this description might be affiliate links. Over the course of three weeks Netflix released the Fear Street Trilogy, consisting of 1994, 1978 and 1666. Each week I did a short podcast, reacting to the film, and the preceding films where applicable, then stuck them all together et VOILA!!! Three episodes in one.I have said there are limited spoilers because, even though we discuss plot, and deaths, and gore and emo teens (a lot), I've tried very hard not to reveal a few character details, like who controls the witch and who survives Camp Nightwing. If you've not managed to watch the trilogy yet, those details will not ruin your enjoyment. All that aside, how horrific are these films? Do they do a good job of representing their respective times? Given they start/end in 1994, will there be, and should there be, sequels that a closer to today (2000, 2015 & 2021 for example).Credit to Netflix, this was something new from them, and something new from me, so I hope you enjoy both. The 'Fear Street' Trilogy takes us back to the Summer Camp Slasher 70s with its 2nd installment, 'Fear Street Part Two: 1978'.
