As the world and our nation continue to navigate the Coronavirus chaos, it offers followers of Jesus Christ an incredible opportunity to bring the genuine peace and salvation of Jesus to those who are unsettled with the current situation.

Barna released a study that states, “Almost half of [Christian] Millennials (47%) agree at least somewhat that it is wrong to share one’s personal beliefs with someone of a different faith in hopes that they will one day share the same faith.”  Why do you think 47% of Millennials feel that way?  Could it be they would rather keep the peace than engage in a conversation that may lead to conflict? Why is it people typically avoid conflict?  Well, it creates friction, frustration, and even causes people to get upset with one another.

In world where we have instant oatmeal, microwave ovens, and same day delivery from Amazon, it’s easy to bring that same level of "instant" expectation to our spiritual life, especially when it comes to sharing our faith in Jesus. In Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, “come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” When it comes to sharing our faith, fishing for men, patience is a critical piece of the puzzle.

While his early years were filled with scandal and mischievous ways, Jesus Christ eventually found his way into the heart of George Mueller. A defining trait about Mueller's ministry was his commitment to prayer. In this session we map out three key points of prayer as you seek to reach others in need of Jesus.

One bad decision changed his life forever. From physically incarcerated to spiritually liberated, this is the Matthew Maher story. After excelling in school and sports, Matthew found himself as a professional athlete living a life most only dream of.  But all that changed one fateful night when he had too much to drink. Matthew’s decision led to the loss of a man who was a husband and father.  He was incarcerated for 55 months in state prison but received an uncommon miracle, forgiveness from the victim’s son. After being the cause of such tragedy, Matthew learned a powerful truth and received a tremendous gift, the gift of forgiveness. Matthew says, “Forgiveness is cutting the ties of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness in our own lives.  When we forgive someone, you’re setting yourself free from the root of bitterness.” Is there someone you need to forgive but can’t seem to let go? Jesus paid the ultimate price and tells us in His Word, the Bible, that all who seek Him will find eternal forgiveness through faith in Him.

Tammy Stearns is a mom, a missionary, and the Women’s Ministry Director of Project H.O.P.E in Nicaragua.     It’s a ministry that ministers to the poorest of the poor- dump women and their children, single mothers, prostitutes, those abandoned and suffering.  Her faith is deep. It has strong roots. It’s been tested.   Almost five years ago, Tammy’s daughter Taellor died while at their home in Nicaragua in a random and freak accident.     Taellor was only 19 years old. But on the day of their daughter’s death, Tammy and her husband determined to live out the faith they had been sharing with those around them.  To walk the talk, so to speak. We’re made for life-long companionship and most people are hopeful they will find true love, someone they can build a life with.  In fact, data shows there are over 40 million Americans using online dating services looking for that special someone. But what happens when true love is replaced with something that's artificial, something not real or genuine and far more dangerous than we know? According to Real Marriage Research, pornography stats reveal that 70% of men between the ages of 18 and 35 view a pornographic site at least once a month. 90% of children ages 8-16 have already viewed pornography and the largest consumers of porn are 12 – 17 year-old boys. Jeff Isaacs is a pastor, happily married and has four beautiful children, but decades ago he had a secret struggle that could have ruined his entire future.    Divorce lawyers will tell you pornography is a huge cause for broken marriages. Since 1924, the City Union Mission has provided warm beds, nutritious food and a place of safety for thousands of poverty-stricken and homeless men, women, and children in the Kansas City area. They receive no government support and rely entirely on the faithful giving of individuals, churches, groups, foundations, and businesses who have a heart for the poor and homeless. In 2016, the City Union Mission provided 134,865 Nights of Shelter, 256,915 meals served, 12,383 medical services were provided and 567 decisions for Jesus Christ. With sporting activities consuming entire weekends, one of the toughest challenges today’s youth face is how to make God the priority over sports. What happens when two people from very different backgrounds come together? Today we’re asking the question “What are you afraid of?” I recently finished a must read book authored by Eric Blehm titled Fearless, which chronicles the undaunted courage and ultimate sacrifice of Navy Seal Team Six Operator Adam Brown. Adam was fearless in his commitment to protect the freedoms and people of our great nation and gave his life in doing so.  The true source of his strength was found in his relationship with Jesus Christ. The bible says in Psalm 118:6, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” This is the attitude that so many men and woman who have served our country had in battle when they paid the ultimate price and gave their life in order to preserve the incredible freedoms the United States of America enjoys.  And for those warriors, we give thanks on this Memorial Day weekend. Yet there is a healthy fear that precedes being fearless.  It’s a fear each of us need if we're going to be successful in fulfilling God’s mission for our life. After marrying his teenage sweet heart and having two children by their early 20’s, Jim Gillespie and his wife reached a crisis point of differences which led to divorce.
