What are the big names from across the sight loss sector doing about the current provision of technology training? We have brought together a panel of guests from RNIB, AbilityNet, TAVIP, Visionary, Sight and Sound Technologies and rehabilitation specialists to discuss this issue. On last week's programme, we focused on why so many visually impaired people aren't able to access meaningful in-person technology support and what is stopping the sector from sorting it out. In this programme, we're getting some answers on what they are currently doing within this space. When the RNIB announced changes to the way they deliver their Technology for Life service, we at In Touch heard a lot of trepidation from listeners over where visually impaired people can now go for meaningful support with tech. We thought we'd bring together a panel of guests from some of the big names across the sight loss sector, to tease out where this kind of help can be found and, ideally, delivered in-person. This programme is part one of two, where we assess the issue with guests from RNIB, TAVIP, AbilityNet, Visionary, a Rehabilitation specialist and Sight and Sound Technologies. The subsequent programme will focus on the potential solutions to this lack of in-depth and in-person support. My primary business is as a full time professional speaker and digital futurist speaking at conferences, masterminds and events around the world helping them to find the HARMONY between TECH and HUMANITY... (https://www.brianfanzo.com) As a futurist, I enjoy diving deep into today's current innovations while studying the transformation coming in the future to map out ways that can blow people's minds when it comes to what is possible in the future. With that being said it's also vital to have an understanding of different perspectives and use cases for NFTs for dealing with haters or those there approaching the space with basis not so you can convince them to see the power of NFTs rather open their mindset to realize maybe there's more than they currently realize. Yes, I love talking about the most popular NFT use cases that are extremely important such as ART, collectibles, metaverse land, online communities, gaming, music and fashion but I wanted to share some that most aren't thinking about or haven't thought about the impact of blockchain and NFTs reimagining the experiences of today while solving the problems of tomorrow. In this episode… Because of the pandemic, many personal trainers, coaches, and training institutions have been forced to start offering online classes to their students. For minority groups, getting decent training on technology can be a challenge. Their positions at work could also be at risk because many employers want technologically-savvy employees. It just so happens that this is a goal Nilda Thomas has in mind: to help minorities gain technology skills that they can use to either land better employment opportunities or stay competitive in their current jobs. She also educates her clients on soft skills so they can learn how to collaborate with others and experience success in the workplace. In this week's episode of the Innovations and Breakthroughs Podcast, Rich Goldstein is joined by Nilda Thomas, the Founder and CEO of Workforce eTraining Solutions, to find out how Nilda helps minorities gain access to technology training. Today we're talking about eating the security dog food! What do I mean by that? Well, a lot of security companies I worked for in the past preached to clients about the importance of having a good security program, but didn't have one of their own! I'm trying to break that pattern now that I'm in a position to lead an information security program for 7MS. In today's episode we talk about getting your company started with a good set of infosec policies/procedures. First up is a "mothership" infosec policy with the following sub-policies inside it: Acceptable Use Data Protection and Privacy Physical Security Tools and Technology Training and Awareness Reporting Oh, and the song I jazz/scat/sang coming out of the jingle was If I Were a Dog

Douglas Lusk is the Founder/CEO of the National Society for Legal Technology (NSLT) and the creator of the Legal Technology Certificate. I think he's on the cusp of something huge, and he hasn't even graduated law school yet! This legal technology training program addresses a problem that most attorneys struggle with: How do I comply with the new ethical rules requiring competence in technology when there are no resources in my law firm or law school to do so (and without investing in expensive software packages)? Doug figured it out and, after just one year, his program has been included in the curriculum of over 70 law schools. On top of that, he's talking to bar associations about finally introducing CLE on software instruction – a much-needed improvement. Doug offers an elegant solution to a growing problem, and I'm excited to see how it develops. What a wonderful way to return to our regularly scheduled Sunday afternoon TABRadio broadcasts than on Mother's Day to acknowledge three individuals, yes you guessed it - all moms, that have been so instrumental in my life and in the development of the person that I am. During today's broadcast, I will highlight how each of these individuals played such a crucial role in my pursuit of achieving success as a social entrepreneur completely dedicated to enhancing the human capital and technology literacy of individuals residing in socially and economically challenged communities. These three moms are my grandmother (Rose Hamilton), my Mom (Brenda Timms), and my sister (Tracy Burgher). I am also the first to admit that there have been so many other moms that have greatly influenced the person that I have become, but these three are the ones that were pioneers to me - showing me how to survive against all odds and how to persevere against life's many obstacles. Please listen in to hear more about how these three individuals have helped me develop those intangible qualitied I will need to achieve the success that I have outlined in both my personal and professional life.

Now it all made sense. Tune in to my show to hear how these 15 words changed my life!
