    Forgiveness means different things to different people. Generally, however, it involves a decision to let go of resentment and thoughts of revenge. The act that hurt or offended you might always be with you, but forgiveness can lessen its grip on you and help free you from the control of the person who harmed you. Tune into today's episode as I guide you through a real story that happened to me moments after our engagement party! It's these moments where I realize, and you might realize, that the devil/evil spirit comes at the times that you least expect them especially when joy is embedded in your heart! It's only because the awakening that I was able to see clearly on what was happening and without a shadow of a doubt I knew my heart was not going to react yet respond in the way my heart felt only because I had forgiven her a long time ago! If I didn't, I truly don't think the blessings would have opened in my life like they did and continue to! Love wins and remember that the act of forgiveness is healthy when it comes to the internal well-being! I don't know that I could have taken any more hurt and pain than I already did- which naturally led me to forgiving her without getting a verbal recognition from the attacker! This act hugely rewarded my health, by lowering the risk of heart attack, improving cholesterol levels, sleep, reducing pain, blood pressure, levels of anxiety, depression, and stress. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mike Richardson and real estate/mortgage expert Dulce Drakulich to better understand the dynamic of running a business and having the heart to do things for the community while meaning it!    At Bay Equity they understand that your house is a home and not a loan. They know this because they have always been in the business of caring about their customer's journey, and writing their story right alongside their clients. Being on the mic with them, I soon gathered that this wasn't just a well written mission statement, this was the lifestyle they truly live on a day-to-day basis. I believe this is an extraordinary mindset, especially from business owners and experts in a very competitive business. Mike and Dulce started their careers during the Great Recession in 2007, which was fueled by easy credit, insufficient regulation and toxic subprime mortgages.   Tune in to the three of us as they talked business which was very informative, but they spoke more of their "why", their reason and their purpose.     International Women's Day: Evolving for 108 years

    It's been 108 years that we have been celebrating International Women's Day as there was a Socialist Party of America whom gathered in a group of 15,000 women to protest against their long hours work, low pay and lack of voting rights in New York City. This movement got women to think beyond what the norm was and 108 years later we are seeing the creative genius absolutely, SOAR.   In this episode I share some stories of what it meant to me to start my business 17 years ago in a field that was male dominated. The idea to be a pioneer in the health, wellness and fitness industry seemed too scary yet the grit of my soul and tenacity of my heart didn't reject my drive which was to do exactly that- AS I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE- I have the ability to look around to my great girlfriends, my clients, my family, my acquaintances and see how many women have been their own advocate, their own risk taker to become their better self for them, their community, their family, their workplace, etc.    Things we can ask ourselves today as we globally celebrate the drive, the heart and soul of so many women we actually get to ask a sincere question that can only be answered by you_ What makes a great woman?     Checking In

    Basic question, "Why would one be compelled to check in with self?"    Answer: "Checking in with yourself and assessing your needs helps you to pour into yourself so that you can pour into others. Oftentimes, we check on those around us but neglect ourselves. It's beneficial because it can improve your mood, your energy, your relationships with others, and your productivity.   I know it sounds so easy but like I tell my Project C participants, "if it were easy everyone would be doing it!" Which always reminds me of doing things different than what the average would do- or even doing opposite of what you are used to.    Lately it's been my part time job checking in with self. Truly admitting that I needed help. Being aware enough that I deserved to heal. Not to mention being  the action based human who has adopted all these elements really has been difficult yet that is more reason why I do it! Because if it was easy everyone would be healed, happy and feeling the vibe!    I along with YOU deserve to check in and share truth with self which in return will allow us to know ourselves better than any other person in this world- that is kind of exciting right? To be honest don't you know other people like the back of your hand? Can you say that for yourself?  We should know us- we should know others - we should be that devoted to check in because we understand that it matters which will keep us aligned in love rather than self-righteousness or status.    In a quick thirty minutes I hope it's just enough to bring out that light!     Todays episode to me is the epitome of authenticity. Opening your heart to others is not always easy but when it happens - its beautiful and raw.   Today a group of women got together to celebrate ourselves, celebrate each other and our shared successes. To spur eachother on and share in love and laughter.   Over snacks and champagne we shared some of our most vulnerable moments, deepest thoughts, and unveiled our truest selves.   Circled around together we also shared some laughter, some tears and bittersweet 'goodbyes' as we said farewell not only to Season 13 of Project C, but also said farewell to our beloved trainer Ashley. It was an honor and privilege to share memories and well wishes to this amazing woman as she moves on to the next season of her life. We will miss you Ash!     I literally don't go a day without thinking of this exact moment where this man got on one knee after he decided I'm the chosen one! I'm the one he will consider everyday! Without pushing, forcing, controlling any of the picture perfect situations they happened because it was supposed to happen! The mature self let the authentic self be seen! I clearly didn't know that this was the moment-as @wyattherbst said so perfectly “you didn't know, you were side shuffling to the center of the castle!” I was wearing my back pack, I was ugly crying! This has nothing to do with setting the perfect Instagram social media stage & it never will! That's why I show my ugly cry to my filter European close lip smile . On a serious note though- I thought turning forty was enough to celebrate that day! I thought celebrating our 1 year & a half was enough! I thought being in Europe for the first time together at a castle was enough! . @dan.knapp led with his heart holding the ring till he felt the moment! Because he didn't know- because no one knows unless they feel first! . . He knew my pain but guess what pain is apart of life! He became part of my post pain experience which was re learning- also a huge part of life that will never go away! He became another reason why I love my birthday again! I love the holiday season again! Why I love life again! I had my faith & that's what kept me ticking then came along another soul to captivate my soul on even levels with the light inside of him that shines strong! . . I never ever stopped believing even when I felt I was at the end & it couldn't get any worse I just didn't stop believing! Dan also didn't stop believing in himself! In me or us! The man of poise & character followed his heart! And here we are together engaged- what that means to me today in this mindset- “we are engaged in one another's life equally to enjoy the freedom to be ourselves & enjoy the freedom to be a unit in trust & in love-   . . I share the story about the thought & action behind the ring!

    That's the good part of an injury, it strengthens you in many ways- which was a thought I had when I walked towards Dan sitting on the concrete steps outside of the stadium. I didn't know how bad the injury was but I knew that it was something considering his cleat and athletic tape were laying on the dirt and the team was on the field moments away from kickoff. Nothing like this can be foreseen- injury, that is, and for that matter there are many emotions and feelings involved.    Tune in to today's episode to hear about how the game went and how Dan injured himself before the game even started.     How exciting I'm recording this podcast from Fredrick-Ludwig- Jahn Sports Stadium here in Berlin Germany getting ready to watch this football game USA vs European All Star Team.     Sitting on the USA media line with my computer, microphone and headphones while watching the production of course this game is also something that I love too! As a business owner I do get kind of obsessed with keeping my eyes out for how things are ran- I keep my eyes open the service, the marketing, etc and being over here has been nothing but invigorating! I have been blessed with not only a week of football but the stories in between it all from the team, the running, the subways, the dinners, the coffee, ugh the list just keeps going on!!!!! Let this be more reason to tune in…. I'm present!     A text from my girlfriend is the tone of my heart over here as I am a living poof of what manifesting your life can prove to you only if you never give up!  She says, “I can't believe you're there for so long! Yes! This is a dream come true. I just keep thinking about our goals- Lululemon goals and visions on my river deck with Sabrina. You wrote about the castles.      I'm doing goals and visions in Nicaragua. People don't understand how REAL it really is!!! Mine is so similar too! So many things are close to what I wrote and have either happened or are happening!!! Write that shit down and manifest it. It's not always easy as it unfolds because the path isn't as we expect it to be … but man, it's awesome when it all aligns!! Sis, I am so proud of you and so incredibly overjoyed for you!!! #fullheart”    It's so real and my opportunity is now to share the depths of what once was a dream, a thought, an idea gosh really a fantasy for a long time till it wasn't! Till it became my reality and because it's my reality it is up to me now to embrace this, engage in this and adore every step! By the power of the mind and tongue along with the believe in the Lord I truly do believe anything is possible! So here is the catch in life! The hidden key among the manifestation of course!!!! The key is there are two rules to follow at all times  Rule #1- Never Give Up  Rule #2- Never forget rule #1    Dive in with me on a few experiences, stories and also opportunities that have presented themselves over here! I'll take these series to reflect, share and a way to always have this time bottled up with you! I have some recommendations on behalf of hotels, restaurants and movies that I hope you can watch soon - they were so touching and really got us in the right mindset on our way over!     The secret to manifesting what you want is to get in alignment with what you want- to feel as though It is already here.    The day has come where I and maybe even you can look back and see the power of manifestation! We can only do that if we have a timeline or in better worlds something to measure. For me this opportunity of recognizing the desires of my heart all the way back to fifth grade has lead me to the present moment which is witnessing one of my biggest dreams come true and what profound experience it's been!    Ideas are no longer a “long shot” type of thought instead ideas are possible through the dedication of the power of manifestation and action based motions to never give up on that thought, ever!    Well the time has come to reveal my two biggest dreams!  One: back in fifth grade I immersed myself in my social studies class report on whatever country we decided at the time. I choose Belgium. From that moment that I turned in my report and did my presentation I had fallen in love with Brussels and surrounding cities in Belgium, so much that I promised myself I would stand foot on that land inside castles between 30-40 years old.  Two: being with Dan Knapp for the past year and a half on October 6, 2021 which is also my 40th birthday I have had one major wish and that was to be able to have had watched him play football. I didn't think this was ever going to happen again yet by the grace of God he has been invited to represent U.S.A vs Germany October 3, 2021 in Berlin.    Basic advice- dreams do come true! They come true because you never give up on them! You manifest them and you act as if it's already happened without any constraints or restrictions. The truth is to be challenged to be in a setting and actually lean into it to actualy experience it at the level that is FOR YOU- yet so often we resist because we attempt to control and override!     There are a lot of mistakes I have made in my time like not sleeping when I was tired, not eating when I was hungry or not getting warm when I was cold! It is the cold hard truth in life to be able to look back and see the faults which were parts of self that were weak or in better terms lack of knowledge. Without the hardship, without the challenge or the trails in life I wouldn't have learned how to eat right, how to sleep right or how to get warm- seemed so easy yet easy isn't where the lessons are shared! The lesson is in the challenge which in some cases are voluntarily raising your hand and asking for help. One of my other mistakes in life was wanting so bad to be loved, appreciated and valued by another yet I truly didn't love, appreciate or value at the capacity that I intended for myself!    That was a mistake and it is up to me to share with you to not see it as a weakness yet a strength to raise your hand and ask for help. Seek help because you deserve it! You don't need to treat yourself or others poorly anymore! You are destined to be a better human, you are destined for this broken spirit to be healed- it is just a matter of you wanting it.     Whether you want to lose weight, compete in a race, gain lean mass, you have to exercise consistently! And if you want to work out consistently, it's key that you make your workouts as convenient as possible: The more convenient working out is, the more likely you are to do it. Sounds so easy and simple right?    In the same sentence we often ask ourselves why it is so hard to get results in a day and age where you can literally download weight loss programs off the internet for free and where you can follow someone's diet and exercise plan on Instagram post-by-post but I am telling you it's SO MUCH more than this day & age living.    I share with all my clients, "If it was easy then everyone would be doing it therefore we need to buckle down as a team, get educated and motivated to obtain your goals.     Live in LOVE not in Fear!

    How to respond from love and not react from fear in our relationships is crucial to truly experience happiness- How to do that is to reject fear, choose love. This really has been a wonderful piece of advice and I hope it touches your heart. In the same sentence, there are many that believe that there are only two primal emotions in the human being, love and fear, and that we cannot feel both at once. Right? We believe that don't we? If we believe this we are certain that if light removes darkness then love can remove fear. The choice to reject fear and choose love can feel like something that only applies to moments of crisis, like when we're leaving a marriage, starting a new business, preparing to climb the highest mountain you have ever thought of. But in truth, the opportunity to choose love and reject fear presents itself in the smallest moments of life, and specifically, in relationships with those closest to us. Love over fear is a choice every time someone tells us something about ourselves or has an experience of us that we don't want to hear. I have loved this over and over as I have a feeling so have YOU! We are being tested and they test is are you going to fold to fear or rejoice in love! You get the choice and it's a place of happiness to share how I made this pivot in my life once and for all! It was so scary to see myself as controlling and anxious yet, because I have, I am able to see it for what it is and I want to change for the betterment of all of us around!     The Truth About Trauma

    My trauma taught me more than I could ever imagine! Of course it would have been nice to have lived without the basic blow of chaos over and over again but clearly I was in the biggest seat of tool gathering, lesson teaching, self love that I could ever be in for the betterment of the rest of my Life! Therefore it was fortunate that all this happened where I am today because I know how, who, why, when so much better than I did before! Has your trauma taught you lessons? Do you blame yourself? Does shame hit your doorstep? These are all things that are unanswered till they are answered and the only way to answer is to make sure you're on your way to waking up which is usually a very painful and scary experience! We have our world around us condoning the “stay asleep” mentality! Stay comfortable. And whatever traumatic event you are in your life it's “normal!” No it's NOT normal- we have normalized this, society has, Hollywood has and if I can say anything I'm saying it now…. Wake up!     We all have the choose to live the life we are either destined for or settle to be mediocre. In the midst of the challenges, storms, hustle, constrictions it's important that we all know this constant state of chaos can bring true exhaustion to ones life! Therefore we should really strive to feel harmony in our life- even when time feels like it's a huge constraint! We must ask self is it really? Probably not- as humans we are so good about procrastinating which sets us back from truly living the life of destiny! It's a sign, right now, that you ask yourself a truthful question, “Are you living your best life, your mediocre life or your procrastinated life?” With an honest answer comes honest efforts and YOU deserve it! As an individual, as a couple, as a group of friends or as a family we desire certain things because they most likely come from the gut-the heart and require action! So since Dan & I decided to be damn adventurists from the beginning we promised one another to live, love and endure the simple life getting us away from the hustle 24/7 which is what I was used to ultimately! ….We drove to Montana to visit Dan's best friend, his beautiful wife, two girls, two of their friends (now our friends) and others that we were introduced to along the way! Feeling nothing but harmony- like music what makes you feel good is what you listen to as well believe is the same with living life- do the things that make you feel good while making memories. I figured out how happy I am knowing we live in a world where there is a Montana- my spectrum is now illuminated more because of this magical trip and questions that were answered along the way!     The real talk & the eagerness to shout out "MORE POWER TO YOU" for being the amazing human that you are. We are all in development, right? Figuring life out with the lessons, the seasons and the challenges that we face daily. No matter what we face we must do it with dignity, understanding and poise- if we are figuring these things out currently this is something to aspire to be like deep within! Real talk that life happens, it gets stuffy and messy! We are not meant to be perfect yet if we are in a stance to take life on headfirst, we can face it with a humble heart to see ourselves in the mirror to be in progress.  I am telling you from firsthand experience change is difficult- it is rewarding but we all know it brings challenge which then all the sudden leaves us feeling cold, frigid and at times not prepared. That is what the winter months feels like in reality so if you are faced with a lot, change, uncertainty please recognize this as a time to hunker in with ambition to see the blossom on the other side.  Career, relationships, family, friends, financials, etc, all take work, they take time, and they take discipline which are all hard concepts to grasp when you just want things to work out for you- however they will once you are willing to embrace that earning your stripes through the winter months (hard seasons) are worth every bit of discomfort! Enjoy the journey and help someone out by sharing the hard work that you see them giving towards life! It hurts sometimes to go go go go and feel little to nothing in return- humans and their caring hearts can be the cure to hopelessness!     Becoming more of your own advocate is a daily practice. Taking in things that you hear of and doing your own research, deep research is the start of being clear of what you need versus what others think you need. Getting educated, getting counseled, getting advice-- even a second opinion maybe a third opinion to gain more knowledge so you can be action based if whatever it is that you are searching out serves you!    For instance, you might have heard things your whole life that you never really knew the true facts about or was it a myth? You don't know till you know, and this is a pressure point to make that call in your life! Figure out the facts, the why, the reasons to why things in our life are there to bring us to a better state especially when we are seeking out to be consistent with them!   Topic of conversation today is contrast therapy- ever heard of it? It can also be referenced as hot & cold therapy- this topic is so exciting for me especially as an athlete and furthermore rewarding if we truly know why we should engage in this therapy athlete or not the science behind this therapy is tremendous.    True hard facts on hot & cold treatment:  Cold treatment reduces inflammation by decreasing blood flow.  Heat treatment promotes blood flow and helps muscles relax.  Alternating heat and cold may help reduce exercise-induced muscle pain. Never use extreme heat, and never put ice directly on the skin   Lastly some of the benefits of contrast therapy include: Improved Circulation. Decreased Swelling. Reduced Inflammation. Improvement in Muscle Strains. Increased Range of Motion. Reduced Muscle Soreness. Increased Energy & Alertness.     Celebrating 17 years of being in a profession that I absolutely love, and has been everything and more than I ever imagined. However, now that I know all that has been experienced and the opportunities that have been gifted, I truly must say that everything happens for a reason.  At the end of the day, one must know that whatever it is that you choose to do with your life- please be certain of one thing and one thing first-  Are you happy?  Does it bring your joy?  Do you crave it every day?  If your answers are yes, then of course you are in the right spot.     Keeping the Authenticity in Your Business

    I believe this real answer is in your heart when questioning how I keep the authenticity when building my business- just like anything else we strive to follow our hearts as that is our gut, that is our intuition & where the passion resides!    I passionately listen and chat with people every day which is one of the key factors to building an authentic business as so many people reveal their risks, their values, their experiences and there is no better what to feel true motivation & inspiration other than those close people around you sharing what works and what doesn't. These are also opportunities to evaluate where you are and where you want to go with questions like?  Am I being real? Am I being charitable? Am I being consistent?  Am I being responsive?    But then we get even deeper by expressing how hard you are willing to work to earn your stripes. I remember a guy by the name of Ford commenting, "wow, the owner of the gym is also cleaning the gym!" I smiled back and said, "Yeah buddy, it's an honor to keep my hands on the place that I love so much- it wouldn't feel right any other way, and keeps me grounded." I drove home that night and remembered feeling a sense of gratitude from Ford's comment- he expressed himself to remind me that this is part of keeping it real with the business- this is part of keeping the business authentic to the core.     The Challenge & Blessings of HEALING!

    I remember hearing my dad say, “Don’t pick your scabs, your healing!” Of course I didn’t see the depths of what he knew it as, yet it didn’t take long to understand the pain of a cut and how quickly you can get to the stage of a scab — shortly you will be on your way to not feeling that pain that you felt in the beginning!  However it doesn’t mean that it’s easy! Instead once the cut is done, the bleeding begins the journey is all so authentic to each cut!  How deep was it?  How severe was it?  Did it need stitches?  Did it need a band-aide?  Did you clean it out?  Did it get infected?  All the questions and or reactions to the cut is how well it will heal.    Low and behold I didn’t know that life was like that till it became very apparent to me! We get cut- we get sliced open- we get chopped up sometimes in life but by the Grace of God we have the chance to respond correctly or more correctly as time goes on to heal!  Healing is just as challenging if not more than the actual event where the cut happened! Lots of treatment, lots of love, lots of cleaning up to do yet without it becomes gross, disgusting and infected and no one has time for that.    Sit back and tune into our episode today where we find a place in our life where we got cut and accepted the healing process! What did that look like for you?     As I sit here in Maui I’m forced at these moments to measure my growth because time has passed and when time passes for a duration of time we have the amazing opportunity to be present enough to feel where we are today!  2004 was my first visit to Maui which was pre kids, pre marriage, pre career, etc.... my life as I knew then was actually on a path of revealing it self by the decisions I was making.  Where I was then in 2004 in comparison to where I am at today 2021 almost seems light years away yet I would not know this unless I was able to be alert & aware of life as I knew it, to life as I know it.  Tune into today with me as I have a drink with you, literally a Mai Tai in hand and relaxed beyond relaxed sharing the life that I remember, the life that I desired to, the life that I am living.  It’s your time to focus on your challenge which is to be so present in your moment now in hopes to have the awe ha moment which makes our whole world turn to be exactly where you were meant to be!!!  Happy- joyful- blissful and yes a little uncomfortable in there, here and there, which forms a better you anyways!  I’m excited to share hope with you and since there is hope present in your life there is light and since there is light there is hope- let that settle in and enjoy the challenge of measuring your growth!  You are loved- and cheers to us!     A friend texts me to share her amazing therapy session. Her therapist finals words to her were these before she left, “You have manifested precisely what was important to you. Be sure to do regular self check ins, be sure you are manifesting what you really want and not what you think you want. And there’s nothing wrong with hindsight. Sometimes we don’t know what we want until we don’t have it- that’s wisdom and experience. Use it.”  It truly doesn’t matter what you put in front of this statement- the bottom line is that there is hope when you believe to the core that what is important to you will come true with hard work! Hard work calls for effort and effort calls for finding a way- through asking for help, applying what you know, making things happen, setting goals, using your sources around you, etc.  When it comes to knowing self we must take the effort everyday to become! A lot of people don’t even know what they are made up of, blood type, blood tests, Dexa scan- a few ways to know you a little bit more which also makes setting goals so much more obtainable when we know who we are and what we are working with!  Today is the day to jump up and say, “I’m going to be my own advocate. I’m going to step up to the plate to be more aware of who I am!” It’s as simple as reaching out, making some calls with the intent to learn about you!  Then you can set macros up.  Then you can set calories up.  Then you can make your menu.  Then you can structure your week with workouts.  Then you can shop differently.... It’s time today to learn more, put yourself out there more and ask for help! Manifest these amazing things that are important to you and become what it is you desire.  I Believe in you  Xoxo

    Free Yourself From the Pain of the Past

    A late night setting, lights off, taking myself and you to a very vulernable place- This is me kicking the past self, thoughts, demons, worries and concerns to the curb-  Topic of choice that has me in the some of the most vulernable states & lessons are sincerely taking time to realize that you can free yourself from the pain of the past and there are great ways to face your demons.    With the illumination inside of me and forgiveness inside of me I have been able to face the craziest-painful and hurtful side of me- with grace & love - hasn't been and wasn't easy but once it was actually nailed down to see this once and for all- the main objective from that point on has been to allow nothing but the light to shine through awareness and understanding I have become more aware of my unconcious actions and will never be a victim to them ever again.   We all will or have faced circumstances such as these - but we don't want to talk about it because it might trigger something inside of you- it might bring you back to that scary, worried or fearful place yet please believe me when I say that you will not know when they will reveal themselves yet you will know how to respond and react because you know exactly what you are facing now!    You were destined to live an abundant life- just as I am- just as your neighbor is- In order to move on, be in ofrward motion and all in conjunction to face the negative/demons in your life which really is just a term for dealing with the repressed or unconscious aspects of your personality we need to know that everything you desire lies on the other side of facing your demons!    After deep connection with Brendon Burchard "The Motivation Manifesto" im stunned in my walk of facing my demons to be reminded that our internal demons poison us with worry and fear whenever we might be vulnerable, stunting our growth and vitality. Our diestiny is deceded by how well we know our demons of doubt and delay. How well we defend against them and how many battles we win against them each day of our lives.  Through Christ giving me my strength, I happily reconize these parts of my life and don't allow the past to be drawn into the future unless we make peace with it.    Its one tough road but once it is taken all I have seen myselwf do now is be courageous enough to confront the dark parts of myself and work to banish them with my ILLUMINATION and foregiveness! As August Wilson states, "Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing!"   Its time to transform your demons into a gateway towards joy and bliss Its time to transform the energy and confront that which you buried a long time ago.  Its time to allow your light to shine on your demons- WHY? Because light over powers the darkness!   Be gentle on yourself as that is exactly what I have done as I have taken on this process willingly. Do not pass judgement or criticism on what is! Much better please observe through awareness.     Don’t Wait Till Your 65 to Retire

    Many people use the age 65 as their target retirement age. At that age you can begin to receive Medicare to cover your healthcare needs. However, most people now need to wait until 66 or 67 to collect unreduced Social Security benefits. And if you decide to call it quits at 65 you can expect to enjoy 20 or more years of retirement. Today’s 65-year-olds are largely healthy and likely to live longer than earlier generations. But that doesn’t mean they’re not starting to feel the wear and tear of an aging body and mind. And it is not going to get any easier. None of us will ever be any younger than we are today. Even if you don’t feel old yet, you are growing older with each passing day. As your body ages your options to explore and experience new things tends to become more limited.  All these descriptions of retiring at 65 is what helps me with my mentality in my late thirties! Which is to live now and don’t wait to retire!  I have found that Covid has turned a leaf over in me that sincerely has brought the young little girl out of me all over again! The one that seeks out for adventure, spontaneity and pure joy from being outdoors & with family and friends!  This life doesn’t have to be lived later after all the years of hard work instead I’m noticing that through hard work we can also take time off and travel the places that the heart desires! I believe in this so much last September we purchased a sprinter van to help make these dreams come true! We leave when we can and stay to do life. We create and make memories and also love our hearts passion in the health and fitness industry! We are moving one day at a time towards our dream life which is so be happy, joyful and imperfectly perfect for our own life!    Rejoice in the desires of the heart.  Breathe.  Believe.  & become every single day!     What Can Neurobiology Tell Us About Suicide with Connie Wray & Dr. Zavala

    A topic of suicide is and will never be easy. With the help of Dr. Zavala and Mrs. Connie Wray they share their passionate and detailed stories along with their insight! They also take time to share the drive of scientific research into the many questions we and others have about suicide. Many of the answers remain unknown but efforts go out everyday to save lives! Suicide rates are currently climbing in the US and many other countries, and suicide is now the second leading cause of death among young people globally, after traffic accidents. The World Health Organization recently estimated that, worldwide, one person ends their own life every 40 seconds.   Suicide is as complicated as it is tragic. I’m learning through time with Dr. Zavala & Connie Wray that suicidal behaviors come in many varieties, ranging from suicidal thinking, or ideation, to suicide attempt and completion, all of which may be associated with various levels of violence or intent. The behaviors themselves differ in incidence among genders, ethnicities, and other demographic categories, and almost always occur against a background of depression or some other mood disorder. No field of scientific inquiry can single-handedly untangle a phenomenon as complex as suicide. But Wray & Zavala among many other scientists/researchers are hoping to shed light on the problem by digging into the neurobiological processes underlying thoughts about ending one’s own life and attempts to do so. This work is building support for the idea that suicide is tied to specific biochemical changes that can be measured and targeted independently of, and possibly in parallel with, the mental health disorders they often accompany. Findings from this work, researchers/scientists hope, could help reveal new treatments, and perhaps even opportunities to identify the people most at risk in time to intervene.  You are worth it.     We can all ask the tough question- why is it so tough to trust girlfriends? And why is it so hard to make great girlfriends? Let’s talk about being lonely first!!! It serves no one. Loneliness is correlated with poorer mental health, increased health issues, decreased immunity, and even early mortality therefore is more of a reason to share life with your connections which equals friends! We have all sorts of people who come in and out of our lives who we term ‘friends’; acquaintances, soccer moms and dads, co-workers, service people, wait staff, managers, social media followers, classmates, etc. But what we yearn for are true friends. What we desire are people we can count on. Friends who enjoy us and understand us. Humans who create networks of love, caring, and understanding. People who will stand by our sides when things get tough.Companions who’ll both laugh and cry with us. Friends who will stand the test of time.Human connection is vital. We rely on each other for identity, belonging, acceptance, love & so much more. Without real connection, we cannot thrive. I’m recognizing that close relationships, more than money or fame, are what keep people happy throughout their lives. Those ties protect people from life’s discontents, help to delay mental & physical decline! Discovering, creating, & maintaining deep connections to others is serious business. Close friendships & partnerships provide numerous benefits. With others, we find fun, happiness, understanding, laughter, compassion, challenge, encouragement, affection, and love. When we are deeply connected to others, our moods, health, and lives are improved! Just because we have been hurt in our past! Just because we have shared discomfort in relationships does not mean we will never be able to know what connection of great health truly is! Instead it will be more reason why we will find our “Golden Girls” because we deserve them in our lives!

    Today we will dive deep into one the three treasures of the world which is Compassion. According to Tao Tzu simplicity, patience & compassion are the three greatest treasures. Simple in actions & thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patience with both friends & enemies, you accord with the way things are. Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world. It’s true that being compassionate is not a weakness but it is a sign of strength even in the midst of being mistreated, lied to or cheated on! You and everyone around you will benefit from sharing self compassion as it will be a domino effect authentically! It’s not your job to hurt others because you are hurt! Instead it’s your responsibility to learn what caused pain in your heart and do everything you can to never inflict that same pain on another soul because you have compassion for self- as Tao states both friends & enemies be patient! Enjoy the giant beautiful discussion about how compassion can change your life first by being self compassionate with a few ideas to practice it daily!     It’s not a topic for everyone yet it’s a topic for some and you have to know your not alone! However you might feel that you belong on the team of FBI & CIA cause your detective work is amazing! Yet really that is not the life for you! You are not meant to be a detective, surrender your self from the sacrifice of living your best life in hopes to change another human! Cheating is all around us and unfortunately it’s in our own house! Yet only if you allow it! Boundaries must be set in life! Once and for all! I pray to God that your detective work will prove you wrong yet when this comes from the gut and following the intuition it usually is not wrong, instead your right and not crazy! There are signs to warn you There are alarms to save you You have to be smart You have to know your worth and you have to know it’s not your fault! But it is your responsibility to take the right actions! No one wants to get caught cheating they want their primary relationship which is an act of have their cake and eat it too! That’s a delusional life A life is fantasy A life of fake connection and lack of trust You don’t deserve it See the signs, stop ignoring them by placing them on the rug and on the shelf! Is he cheating on you? We think we’ll be able to focus on ourselves again after they’ve all left the the house. I get it, parenting is a selfless job. There is no room for being selfish when you are raising children. But I have to tell you this and it might be a rude awakening or maybe just right? Self-care is NOT selfish! In fact, I would argue that if we are to be the best parent we can possibly be, self-care should be a priority! Let’s roll into the zone in Project You were we are willing to be open to being more willing to give self love which then leads to self care to ourselves some way some how!
