Welcome back to the Project YOU podcast! Today's episode is one I'm incredibly passionate about because it's a topic that touches so many lives, especially for those of us who identify as high achievers, go-getters, or just plain busy humans trying to do it all. We're talking about the adrenal glands, their role in overall body function, the impact of stress on these tiny powerhouses, and how we can support them to thrive—because burnout is not the life we were made for.In a world where being perfect seems to be the goal- - it's important that we know who's we are & who we are. We aren't called to be perfect - we are called to be better today than yesterday! - that's it. It doesn't have to be quantum leaps, in fact I believe that in the day to day -our little steps in the right directions! I am on a mission to help women become more of who they were created to be and less of who they were told to be. And, that takes intention, that takes action : My goal is to drop some wisdom, bring you resources and that takes community. The real unlock is the Inner Work, and that's what we do here! In this 223rd Episode of the Small Scale Life Podcast, I discuss the Whole30 Reintroduction Phase. This is a critical part of the process, and I have 8 Tips for a successful Whole30 Reintroduction Phase. Remember: this part of the Challenge is incredibly important, so please take this phase slow and don't rush through it. We are on Day 30 of our April 2024 Whole30 Challenge! We have arrived! Congratulations on making it to Day 30. This is an amazing accomplishment (this is a hard challenge), and I am very proud of you. I am thrilled you made it this far. Even if you had a day or two where you went off plan and the rails, you made it to this point. Well done! Good job. You are AWESOME! For the last 30 days, you have essentially been detoxing and resetting your body and metabolism. You have taken the time and effort to focus on you and your health. Now it is time to reintroduce those foods that you removed from your diet, and this can seem overwhelming and scary. Why would you introduce those things when you feel THIS GOOD? You are continuiing an experiment on yourself. You are PROJECT YOU. Whole30 Reintroduction will help you determine what are "ok" foods, what are "occasional" foods and what are "hell no" foods. To do this phase of the Whole30 Challenge, you need to go "low and slow." In this episode of the Small Scale Life Podcast, I give you 8 Tips for a Successfull Whole 30 Reintroduction based on our two completed challenges. For notes and "almost" transcript of the show, head on over to Small Scale Life to read along and get links and other resources. (https://smallscalelife.com)
What's the connection between personal branding and financial management? Drawing from my own evolving personal brand, I highlight the power of aligning your money habits with your personal values. Personal branding is a holistic representation of who you are and what you stand for, extending beyond just your career and the number on your payslip. From transforming money habits to expanding the financial window, I'm giving you some actionable strategies to take control of your financial narrative. Like with any goal, sometimes there are sacrifices you have to make, and I'm taking you through the importance of strategic sacrifice in achieving financial goals, and how you can make intentional trade-offs that resonate with your personal brand. In today's episode, I unpack the third important rule for our Project Weight Loss and that is the self-confidence in you rule, the vital "Project You" rule. This rule emphasizes the importance of cultivating a positive self-image. Self-confidence is paramount for both weight loss success and effective project management. By embracing self-love and checking self-criticism, we unlock our true potential and inspire those around us. Remember, nurturing a positive relationship with ourselves sets the foundation for all other relationships in our lives. It's not selfish; it's necessary. So, I offer, let's prioritize self-care and positivity, knowing that when we love ourselves unconditionally, we create a ripple effect of empowerment and fulfillment.Let's go, let's get it done. In this insightful episode of Strategy + Action, host Jason Croft has an in-depth conversation with Deborah Southgate about applying project management principles to personal development. Jason sets the stage by sharing how he met Deborah in the Brand Builders Group community and was impressed by her unique approach to coaching people through major life changes. Deborah then shares her powerful personal story of reaching a low point in her late twenties when her health, relationships, and work-life were all unraveling. After realizing she needed to take control, Deborah drew on her professional project management skills and began viewing her personal growth as a project with defined goals and action steps. This allowed her to methodically work through getting her health back on track, starting a business, meeting her husband, and finding happiness again. Jason does an excellent job guiding the discussion and drawing out the details of Deborah's "Project You" methodology. He highlights how it provides helpful structure while still being customized for each person's unique goals. Deborah explains the step-by-step process, from initiating the project and setting goals to developing a realistic plan, managing risks, tracking progress, and celebrating wins along the way. This is a fascinating conversation about an innovative approach to personal development that could help many feel "unstuck" and make meaningful progress in their lives.

When you are struggling to conceive Project Baby can become all consuming. I talk a lot about focusing on Project You and when you do that Project Baby takes more care of itself. In this episode I share my own psychological journey that was the turning point in our own fertility story. Get in touch: www.thefertilemind.net russell@thefertilemind.net About the Show: I help women and couples remove psychological blocks to getting pregnant. Based on my and my wife's 10 year fertility journey and the work of my clients I believe too many couples have IVF unnecessarily and that the success rate of IVF is unnecessarily low. We can see how much our mind and emotions played a part in our fertility journey and when we found a place of peace without giving up that's when the magic happened - we conceived naturally against all odds. I help me clients do the same - remove psychological blocks to getting pregnant naturally or getting the successful IVF outcome they so want. When I ask women what having a baby will give them they usually say a sense of completeness, love and purpose. It's our fear of not having these things, a fear of not being enough, worthy that tends to be behind our fear of not having a baby. These limiting beliefs have usually been around since an early age and infertility shines a spotlight on them. Many of my clients have strived for success in their life whether career or other things. That approach doesn't work for fertility. In fact it puts tension in the body which decreases their chances of success. The podcast is short does of insight, giving women and couples new perspectives that allows them to see their fertility from the ‘inside-out'. To see help them let go of their insecure thoughts and feelings and connect to their innate wellbeing that knows they are enough and OK whatever happens. This moves having a baby from being a 'need' to to a desire. It takes the pressure of the process and their mind and body relax into it's natural flow state. Stress can impact the delicate balance of hormones required for a successful pregnancy.

The podcast is short dose of insight, giving women and couples new perspectives that allows them to see their fertility from the ‘inside-out'.

Dr. Jin a neuroscientist and retired Professor at UC Irvine joined us today for the 120th episode of Project You with Camie Cragg. I really don't want to make this about me but HOLY SMOKES this interview was one of the most profound and relatable talks I have had in a long time. Why? Dr. Jin nurtured my mind and soul through facts of the body, brain, heart which led to an overall health talk. This man touched on topics that I as a fitness enthusiast have been talking about for years minus the medical backing, schooling, and research he has. Sitting there witnessing his giving heart to authentically help people without pushing them down mainstream, traditional-medicine was what was so rewarding! A man who doesn't see you as a number yet a living soul that can be saved, helped, and supported by asking for help, reaching out to know more and being your own advocate! These kinds of people are very rare which is why I know you will be attracted to what his heart, knowledge and soul must share! If you have any interest in just knowing about the simplicity of who we are originally as humans- hunter gatherers, you will love every minute of this episode. From breast feeding, thermo dynamics, sleep, anxiety, blue light, obesity, brain, leaky gut, etc this is a raw conversation about LIFE 101 with Dr. Jin. Xoxo Muah Camie Knapp (Cragg)

Community is the reason for doing business for Northern Nevada's highest rated lender online, Mike Richardson! I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mike Richardson and real estate/mortgage expert Dulce Drakulich to better understand the dynamic of running a business and having the heart to do things for the community while meaning it! At Bay Equity they understand that your house is a home and not a loan. They know this because they have always been in the business of caring about their customer's journey, and writing their story right alongside their clients. Being on the mic with them, I soon gathered that this wasn't just a well written mission statement, this was the lifestyle they truly live on a day-to-day basis. I believe this is an extraordinary mindset, especially from business owners and experts in a very competitive business. Mike and Dulce started their careers during the Great Recession in 2007, which was fueled by easy credit, insufficient regulation and toxic subprime mortgages. Tune in to the three of us as they talked business which was very informative, but they spoke more of their "why", their reason and their purpose. I was personally astonished by this internal passion that clearly separates them from the rest in their field! There is a reason why they are the best, and that is because they believe their client is more than a sale. You can feel there is care, love and respect on the other side! Reno, Nevada is honored to have Mike and Dulce of Bay Equity in their corner! I told them both without people like them, change is hard to come by when it comes to community! People need to care in order to have change and these two care...a lot! Thank you so much for taking the time out to listen to Project You with Camie Cragg, an audience that continues to grow every single day!

When was the last time you put yourself first? We spend a good part of our lives trying to please other people, and what this often means is sacrificing our wants and needs. At the end of the day, real happiness lies within yourself. Only when you start to celebrate yourself unapologetically will you begin to experience the real, empowered YOU. In this episode, our host Kathi Sharpe-Ross delves into reinventing your life by putting yourself first. She talks about the section Project You in her book RE:INVENT YOUR LIFE! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? and how to design your Reinvention project. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: What is your Project YOU? Why you deserve to put yourself first How to spend the pandemic's gift of time How to design your roadmap Create your Reinvention project Episode Highlights: [00:52] Project YOU We spend a lot of our time tending to our relationships at the expense of our wants and needs. We often end up depriving ourselves of the care and attention we give others, but if you don't take care of yourself, no one will. You are entitled to your desires. Self-entitlement is fundamental. It's not about running away and never looking back; it's about putting yourself first in whatever you do and remembering that it is your life. Only you can fulfill yourself. Part of your big journey is recognizing the worth of your dreams and yourself. To do this, you'll have to practice self-love and make time for Project YOU. One subtle mind shift can put all the right pieces in place to create the life that you want. [03:39] The Gift of Time The gift of time has been granted to us in different ways in the past couple of years. This time calls for us to contemplate who we are, what we're doing, and what we want out of life. It's a critical period to pause and start listening to ourselves. What has this gift of time been like for you on personal, spiritual, relationship, career, hobby, and community levels? Are you giving your passions and dreams a voice to be a bigger part of your life? [09:23] Reflect and Listen to Yourself Discovering yourself can be incredibly exciting and daunting at the same time. Project YOU is important because it informs everything you're doing in your life. Listen to yourself, understand your entitlement, and memorialize your values. Reflect on what's important for you and find your why. Always coming back to your why will motivate you to stay on track. [14:23] What is Your Reinvention Project? What part of your life do you want your Project YOU to be for? It can be short or long-term. What are the things you need to learn, read, buy, create, or engage in to attain this? Who do you know that can help inspire and motivate you? How many hours a week can you afford to spend on this Reinvention? What do you need to do differently in your current life to dedicate this time? Make sure you're clear about your goals and the success you want to achieve in this project. How can you balance the financial aspect of things? Will it make you happy? If the answer is yes, then it's worth every ounce of your effort. If you haven't already downloaded the planner, go do it. I'll wait.Choosing you can sometimes be the first hurdle. People often justify choosing themselves by saying that putting yourself first is like putting your oxygen mask on first so that you can help others. I say yes, that is probably true and makes a nice bridge for someone who feels like they don't have enough time for themselves and thinks well I'm really helping others by helping myself. So I get the value in the statement. However…You should choose you because you are important, full stop. You are important.Choose you.Listen to the rest of the episode and read the shownotes to get specific strategies for choosing your focus area for Project You. at https://www.micheleschmidtmoore.com/podcast/42Grab Your Project You 30 Day Action Planner Teach Better Network PodcastSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/designlessons)

The queen of routine is back this week, as I chat with Jennifer Keller about her recent launch of Project YOU. Jennifer joined me on an earlier episode where she talked about the benefits of forming habits and routines in order to establish the best version of yourself. Since then, she's taken action to put together a guide that walks you through some of the proven practices that she's followed so that you can develop the rhythm that can ultimately become your life. In this episode, Jennifer walks you through her 90-day guide and how she uses it along with the story of how it came to be. She also shares the impact it's making inside and outside of her home.
