74-year-old Dwight William Rhone has pleaded not guilty to murdering four men over the span of 30 years and detectives believe there may be even more victims out there. Rhone was in custody for the 2023 murder of Bernardo Moreno when they found human remains of Michael Brown buried under a home where Rhone was previously a tenant. The Supreme Court of the United States denied the state of Alabama’s request to execute 49-year-old Jeffrey Lee using nitrogen gas, agreeing with two lower courts that said it was cruel and unusual and therefore, unconstitutional. The late night decision, effectively halted Lee’s scheduled execution, but only temporarily.
