Today on the podcast we are joined by former Dublin Senior Footballer, All Ireland Champion, and published author, Shane Carthy! Shane's story is one that bounces from the highest highs, to the lowest lows. At age 18 he achieved a dream for many football players in becoming an All Ireland Senior Champion, and on paper everything seemed to point towards the beginning of a very happy and successful adult life. However, despite all the external hilights, internally Shane was fighting a battle few people knew about. He speaks so openly about his struggles with depression, which ended up in him spending 11 weeks in St. Patricks Mental Hospital where he slowly but surely began to see light at the end of the tunnel. Since then, Shane has taken his experience going through those times to be a pillar of hope for people who are facing similar situations in their own lives - beginning with delivering speeches and talks, all the way up to releasing his autobiography, 'Dark Blue'. It was a fantastic and refreshing conversation with Shane who pulls no punches in describing what he went through, and I'm sure you'll get loads of value from it! Mental health is such an important topic, and it's so important that conversations like this can be had openly. So please share this with anyone you think might benefit from hearing it :) Enjoy, hope it helps The Molloy Twins

This week we are joined by one of the most well-known faces in the Irish YouTube scene. The soul of an alcoholic in the body of a NBA player, a master of the shtick and probably the tallest person we have ever met – Daragh Curran. Daragh (formerly known as the Guinness Guru) grew a huge following across YouTube and TikTok as he travelled far and wide reviewing pints of Guinness. Daragh has since pivoted his content and has upgraded from the 'Guinness Guru' to the 'Pub Guru', shifting his focus from pints of Guinness to the pub-scene in general and looking to answer the age-old question "what makes a great pub 'great'?" Daragh is an absolute gent and this episode touched on everything from his early days doing Karaoke on YouTube right up to today. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

This week's episode of The Molloy Twins Podcast is a special one to wrap up our first season! We sat down together, twin on twin, and answered questions from our viewers and followers who wanted to know some more about us, the podcast, and twin life. It was a really cool way to wrap things up for what's been an amazing season one of the podcast, and we are already looking forward to getting back into the studio for season two in the New Year! We got some great questions in for this Q&A, like... - What was the biggest mistake you made/lesson you learned in Season One? - Who are your dream guests? - Which episode/guest did you enjoy the most? - What would you do if a guest wanted us to delete something they said before releasing the podcast? Plus some talk around impostor syndrome, being your own worst critic and plenty more! We hope you enjoy, and want to wish you all a happy, healthy and successful New Year ahead! This week on the Molloy Twins Podcast we are joined by a very special guest who is going to inspire you to be grateful for what you have in life… Eoghan Gorman! For those of you familiar with this man, you know what he's all about But incase you aren't - here's a quick background Growing up, Eoghan was a typical kid - always active and on the move, loved sports - particularly martial arts and motocross, and was making his way in the World having completed his apprenticeship as a furniture maker (by his own admission, he was always better with his hands than his head! Lol) However, on 6th October 2021 Eoghan's World was flipped completely upside down, when he suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of an accident whilst out cycling with a friend. The aftermath of the injury was devastating - leaving him in a coma for a few days, requiring a ventilator to breathe, and ultimately leading to him being paralysed from the shoulders down. Months of rehab and hard work have gotten Eoghan to a point where, despite the long term impact of the injury, he is now in a position where he can speak openly about his experience and share his story. It was such a pleasure sitting across from him, hearing how he has come to terms with this ‘new life', and he has such a powerful message for every single one of us to take away in our own lives too. A journey that took him around the UK and Scotland, across the pond to the US playing with Atalanta United & Orlando City, back to where it all began in Dublin, where this season he became an FAI Cup champion with St. Patricks Athletic. Today on the podcast we are joined by Jean Haas and Pat O'Sullivan from NINA for Life Suicide Awareness. In 2013, Jean's son Christopher died by suicide. The aftermath of Chris's death sent shockwaves through the family, and the community as a whole, who were heartbroken by his loss, and saddened at the lack of awareness and support surrounding suicide at the time. They decided to come together and be the change they wanted to see in the World - to create something that could help people who were in Christopher's situation, to help guide them towards the supports and services they need, and prevent another family having to go through the devastation of losing a loved one through suicide. As a result, NINA for Life was born. Pat and Jean spoke to us about the creation of NINA, the work they have been doing in the community, just how big of a problem suicide is across Ireland and the World at large, and what needs to be done on a national level to improve it. Jean also spoke bravely about her experiences with suicide, the ripple effect it has on a family for generations, and how she found the strength to keep going during the toughest times. We really respect and support the work NINA for Life does, and were honoured to have them in the studio for this conversation. Enjoy the episode, we hope it helps! Adam and Lee

Jackie's life was completely flipped upside down in 2018, when her young daughter Nicole died by suicide at home, as the result of extensive bullying. The bullying was happening for a couple of years before the tragedy, but unfortunately there was no legislation at the time to save Nicole. As a result, she had to ensure the torture, in the hope it would stop. And Jackie had to watch her beautiful daughter deteriorate, going from her happy, bubbly little girl, to someone who was really struggling, and couldn't see a way out. Jackie's response in the aftermath, was to try make sure that what happened to Nicole would never happen to another person again. She has spent the last 5 years campaigning, marching, petitioning, and eventually succeeding in bringing 'Coco's Law' into effect in Ireland - now making online abuse, cyber bullying, and the sharing of intimate images a crime punishable by imprisonment. The exact kind of legislation that Nicole needed, but didn't exist. Jackie has recently been travelling, speaking to members of the EU, with the ambition to bring 'Coco's Law' into effect all across Europe. Jackie's strength and courage in sharing her story is incredible. This episode will bring you on an emotional rollercoaster, hopefully leaving you in a place of feeling hopeful for the future, knowing it will be a better, kinder place off the back of the work that people like Jackie are doing! We cannot thank her enough for her time, coming in and sharing the space with us! We really hope you enjoy the episode.
