PXG ( Parsons Extreme Golf ) with Chris Marino Until recently PXG products were only available at a small selection of Australian Specialist club fitting centres. With the launch of the new Black Ops range the brand is officially launching at scale in Australia with the backing of experienced Australian Golf Product distributor Champion Sports. Of course, this now means that the range will be far more widely accessible and available for example at Australia's Biggest Golf Retailer, our friends Drummond Golf. In this episode, we chat to PXG International Sales Director Chris Marino who gives us an insight into the evolution of the brand and the launch in Australia and NZ.

2023 WRAP What a year in golf. Really when you sit back and think of the global golf landscape and how it continues to evolve, 2023 will most likely be one of the more controversial years we have seen in the modern era. For the Podcast, we have also had our ups and downs and highs and lows. However, one thing is for sure we have made every effort to consistently deliver our very own style of show week in and week out. We know that's not for everyone, but if you are one of the many loyal MLOG'rs around the country and globe, we appreciate you. We do this out of love, there is no income or sponsors, and we like that. We understand that there are now literally dozens of podcasts to listen to and we are proud to have stood the test of time at 271 Eps. Stats suggest that most podcasts don't make it past 20. We weren't even out of the Nissan then...hahaha 2024 is going to be another year of podcasting. One thing we can promise you is that the MLOG podcast will be somewhat different. It might take a few months to evolve, but we are committed to building and improving. To all of you again thanks. Please have a safe and enjoyable Holiday and Christmas Season. We thank you. Ross and Scott
EP270 We chat about the Rahm move to LIV and who is filling the team rosters. There's a few changes and even we cant keep up. In case you want top know what the hell a Fakelaki is... Fakelaki or fakellaki is the phonetic transliteration of the Greek word φακελάκι. It means "little envelope" but is also used in Greek popular culture as a jargon term referring to the bribery of public servants and private companies by Greek citizens in order to "expedite" service.[1] According to this practice, sums of money are stuffed in files and passed across the desk to secure appointments, documents approval and permits.[2]
Another epic and eclectic run down of a week's golf watching and activities from a few golf nuts. Scott claims the new Long Drive Champion Status on the team Ross claims a gong at the Aus Golf Media Assoc awards. PK joins from Sydney to discuss his Aus Open Volunteer experience. Scott runs his ex-Nike exec thoughts over the prospect of Tiger leaving Nike. We discuss the ball rollback, between us, we don't really seem too phased. It won't detract from our love of golf nor the spirit of the amateur game.
On the ground for the start of the 2023 Aus Open. Stay tuned for some pre-cut updates.

World Cup & AIG fever It is safe to assume that most of us have been drawn to the Women's FIFA World Cup and the success of the Matildas. last week I was also drawn to the viewing of the AIG British Womens Open won by Americas Lilia Vu and it was also excellent. Can we learn anything from the success of the Women's World Cup? Already hailed as the best by FIFA that translates to the success of Women's Golf? For what it's worth we throw around some observations and then discuss the success of the AIG Women's event and the week in golf. The MLOG Podcast Rate and Review on Apple Podcasts

Hotting Up On the back of the US OPEN review we head straight into the Travelers Championship and on the LPGA Tour, we have the KPMG PGA at Baltusrol. We also have the DPWT event in Germany and the Asian Tour event in Korea. A huge week of golf with plenty of Aussies in action.
US OPEN - DAY 1 LEADERS WITB Well after a pair of record-breaking 62's -8 on day one of arguably the most difficult major to score low in. I thought I would take a look at what both Xander and Ricky have in their bag. It didn't take my friends at Callaway too long to shoot out a WITB Press Release so I thought I might as well share it along with my thoughts on why they might be using those setups and what their gear offers. Mainly with some exceptions, this is all gear you too can get. If anyone ever has any questions always please feel free to ask.
US OPEN PREVIEW Scott Carter joins Rossco this week to discuss the lead-up to the US Open being played at the monumental LA Country Club...or LACC on the North Course. This is not a course we get to see on the coverage of golf regularly, super exclusive would be an understatement. It is the first time the course has hosted a major event (excluding the 2017 Walker Cup) So it is fair to say that the golf architecture fans will all have a keen eye on the course. There are a couple of great videos on No Laying Up and The Fried Egg YT channels. SCOTT CARTER Scott steps in as co-host and shares some of the story behind his time at Nike. We learn how now how he is helping an Aussie tech start-up make the e-commerce space for collectables a much better platform for keen fans to have a fair crack at making a purchase in the face of ongoing BOT domination. Scott also assumes the role of co-host as Mike takes a sabbatical from the podcast to focus on a growing work schedule and also avoid the constant chatter and divide on the PIF/DPWT/PGAT debate/discussion.
What a 48 hours for Professional Golf 2 days ago I sat at this very desk ( yes the new stand-up set-up) and a thread came through the MLOG Discord announcing the partnership between PIF, DPWT and PGAT. Like many my initial reaction was disbelief and my second was to text Blakey from Golf Rules Questions to ask him if he now worked for the PGAT. Of course, it was late and he didn't respond until he got through his 700 messages the next morning. It has been mind-blowing watching this unfold and the discussion from all parties. Well mainly the PGAT and DPWT. LIV has been relatively quiet thus far. There is so much speculation and posturing. For some emotions are running high on this topic, not least Rory but even those closer to the MLOG home. To unpack some of the dialogue I immediately jumped to Blakey to check in and then to one of my more viewed Twitter accounts @flushingitgolf. So Tom who is in charge of Flushing It Golf joins Blakey and Rossco to discuss some of the events of the last 48 hours and then some. I hope you enjoy it. Please go and follow Flushing It Golf. We also catch up on the preview of this week's elevated event at Muirfield Village - The Memorial presented by Workday
PGA Championship Review What a great tournament. It delivered right until the end. The team breaks down Brooks Koepka's win and reviews some of the other notable moments from the PGA Championship. Of course, we look through the Teepster results and check in on this week's Charles Schwab being held at Colonial.
The PGA Championship at Oak Hill CC Join Rossco and Rocket as we dive into the feelings & form lines for the second major of 2023. The PGA Championship. Being played on a Donald Ross classic in upstate NEW YORK this is a quality field and is being played on a quality course. Aussies in the field include last week's winner Jason Day along with; Adam Scott David Micheluzzi Lucas Herbert Min Woo Lee Cameron Smith Cameron Davis How do you think the Aussie will fair. Rocket is hot for Jason Day to make it two wins in two weeks while Rossco feels that this is a year that could see one of the men win two majors in a year. So for Rossco that tip rest on the shoulders of Jon Rahm. Enjoy the tournament.
Episode 237 Catch up with the hot takes from around the tour. We preview the Data Lake tips for Ther Byron Nelson. Mike on NOT leaving the Podcast and just what is he done with. Thanks for Listening.
This week in golf sees the chat start with golf Twitter. It can be a space for good dialogue and toxic dialogue. When the discussion of Golf and the rise of LIV Golf is concerned. We discuss the often-discussed Twitter debate about OWGR and the fact that the LIV Golfers are still without a system to award OWGR points. We have a robust discussion and it's fair to say we both see things differently. We chat about all this week's golf hot takes which obviously include PGAT and LIV. We shout out Hannah Green on her win in the LPGA Tour and a shout out to David Micheluzzi on his T21 finish at his DPWT start last week in Korea.
