-2 matchups for Mauritius -1 t20 for Mauritius -1 outright for Mauritius -1 outright for PNC Championship Mauritius Open Analysis Tournament Context Key Matchups and Predictions: Ding Wenyi vs. Gavin Green (3:00 - 8:00): Ding, a rookie out of China, is favored over Green (-140). Ding's recent form: 3 top-25 finishes in 6 starts since turning pro, including a tied 5th at the Australian Open. Green has struggled, finishing 47th at the Dunhill and missing cuts previously at this event. Will predicts Ding will dominate, with Green likely missing the cut. John Perry vs. Gavin Green (8:00 - 10:00): Perry (-145) has had a resurgence, winning twice on the Challenge Tour in 2024 and finishing tied 2nd at the Alfred Dunhill last week. Perry's consistency contrasts Green's struggles, making him a strong pick. Andrea Pavan (Top 20) (10:00 - 12:00): Odds: +190 on Bet365. Pavan has two top-20 finishes in previous Mauritius Open events and showed promise last week with a 24th-place finish at Leopard Creek. Outright Winner: Angel Iora (12:00 - 15:30): Odds: 18-to-1 on BetOnline. Iora, a young and promising player, narrowly missed victory last week due to a late mistake. Will believes Iora's consistent top finishes make him a solid contender for his first DP World Tour title. PNC Championship Analysis Tournament Context (15:30 - 16:00): The PNC Championship features iconic parent-child duos at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando. Despite fan-favorites like Tiger and Charlie Woods (+650) and the Dalys (+400), Will advises against picking them due to health and performance concerns for the senior members. Key Teams and Predictions: Steve and Izzy Stricker (20-to-1) (16:00 - 16:30): Steve had a strong Champions Tour season, but Izzy's inconsistent college performance raises doubts about their chances. Trevor and Jacob Immelman (40-to-1) (16:30 - 17:00): Trevor's lack of competitive play since retiring makes this team unlikely contenders, despite Jacob's talent. Nelly and Peter Korda (28-to-1) (17:00 - 17:30): Nelly is coming off a stellar LPGA season, but Peter's golf skills may not be enough to secure a win. Outright Winner: Matt and Cameron Kuchar (+650) (17:30 - 19:37): Cameron's strong junior results and Matt's active PGA Tour schedule make them the most competitive team. Their performance last year (opening round 57) and Matt's recent top finishes make them the clear favorites. Quotes and Timestamp Analysis “You have a brutal field in Africa this week...” (2:20): Highlights the weak field quality, which sets the stage for up-and-coming players like Ding and Iora. “Ding Wenyi is very comparable to Ludwig Oberg...” (4:00): Establishes Ding as a rising talent with similarities to an established star, underscoring his potential dominance. “Iora might already be a winner...” (13:30): Reflects Iora's close-call finishes, positioning him as a likely breakout star. “I was shocked that Tiger decided to play this week...” (17:40): Will critiques Tiger's physical condition as a major obstacle for Team Woods. “This is a no-brainer for me...Team Kuchar...” (18:30): Emphasizes the strength of the Kuchars as clear tournament favorites. Player and Team Insights Ding Wenyi: 3 top-25 finishes since turning pro, highlighted by strong iron play and consistency. Gavin Green: Struggling with approach shots, making him a weak contender in matchups. John Perry: Recent success on the Challenge Tour positions him as a strong player this week. Angel Iora: Stellar form with multiple top finishes; a prime candidate for his first win. Matt and Cameron Kuchar: Blend of professional experience and junior talent makes them formidable. Jack Guinness is the author of The Queer Bible and host of the Queerphoria podcast. After graduating from Cambridge Uni, Jack went in to modelling, featuring in campaigns for brands such as L'Oreal, Dunhill and D&G. In this episode we revisit Jack's challenging time at university, and how not being open about your sexuality in these earlier years can seriously impact your health and relationships. We discuss how some gay men don't particularly like the word queer; Jack's shift from pursuing opportunities based on fame and ego to amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, and how Jack has always strived to have fun and take risks, as he admittedly never wanted a boring life.

We're scattered all over the place today. Nick is at home in his daughter's bedroom, Mark is at 3AW in Melbourne, and Dan is in Wollongong. The wonders of technology, but the nature of it is that the pod does sound a touch different.But....Mark has come in all excited, he has a new putter that he bought on eBay, and he is showing it off and tells us the backstory. Leads to a chat about Nick and Marks putting techniques - and Mark reckons you should 'roll' putts, not 'hit' putts. Big news as well, Mark is like a kid in a candy shop ... he is off on Wednesday night to play Tara Iti, his dream course! Nick gives him some tips.Mark tells Nick about seeing what he calls the 'craziest decision from a golfer he has seen in his life' this week. He explains. Nick is in vigorous agreement. It has to do with the Asia-Pacific Amateur Champion Wenyi Deng. Nick explains why he turned down a chance to play Augusta early in his career, and reminds Mark of the one chance he had to play it but skipped it to go to a party. Ouch.Mark thinks that the PIF boss Yasir Al-Rumayyan and Jay Monahan are appearing to break bread, saying that they are getting very cosy at the moment. Is something happening? Are discussions progressing? And if the Grand Prix of golf gets up, how could the Australian leg look? Nick and Mark discuss, and Mark gives his idea to create an Amateur Sandbelt Classic. And just before the turn, we put a question to Nick O'Hern from pod Wolfpack member Nick about his 2005 Dunhill playing partner. Another ripping story from Nick O'Hern. Speaking of Nicks playing partners, he names the Top 5 celebs that he has played with, who he has not told us about before. The Top 5 for the great team at Southern Golf Club. Into feedback, for Flinders Golf Club, plenty of it, and we discover Nick has never seen the Ned Flanders Leftorium episode of The Simpsons. Andy and Brendan return on a Victory Monday to recap a bevy of fall golf tournaments this weekend. Andy is fired up about Caleb Williams and the Bears' big win against the lowly Panthers during the Swag Sports Minute, while Brendan is also claiming a Victory Monday as his hometown Commanders beat another unnamed NFL team on Sunday afternoon. The Golf Minutes begin at the Dunhill Links, where friend of the show Nicolas Colsaerts finished second to Tyrrell Hatton. They discuss a strong weekend from Colsaerts, Tyrrell Hatton's development as a player, and his current standing in the game, and whether Pro-Ams should be barred from existence. Big Shot Bob MacIntyre adds some fun to this episode with his idea to "blow up" the Road Hole at the Old Course, which Andy and Brendan debate the merits of. Their attention then turns to the Sanderson, which announced that its title sponsor will return for one more round in 2025! The two wonder if the Country Club of Jackson is the most generic golf course on the PGA Tour, lament about the Golf Channel coverage of the Sunday finish, and decide that players should only get two unsuccessful TIO-related challenges per event after Beau Hossler's repeated calls for a drop on Sunday. The Korn Ferry Tour finals are up next for a recap, with some late drama around the Top 30 in the seasonlong race with Alistair Docherty being pushed out of the promotion zone on the final putt of the tournament. Andy and Brendan then touch on the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, where winner Wenyi Ding has decided to take his DP World Tour card rather than retain his amateur status. Producer PJ then sums up a busy Furyk & Friends weekend, with a playoff finish, Brad Dalke birdies on the broadcast, and a Tim Herron technological innovation for the ages.
On this week's edition of the podcast, we sit down to discuss to Golf Ireland's announcement of the iGolf scheme. Is it good, is it bad? What does this mean for golf clubs? Who will it benefit? The big power hitters from golf's merger deal were all on site at the Alfred Dunhill Links, how will this never-ending negotiation deal play out? It was also a good week for Seamus Power as he looks to tee up his PGA Tour season early plus we said goodbye to Stuart Grehan who called time on his professional golf career as he moves into the next phase of his life, with a 2026 Walker Cup appearance on his agenda.
In this episode we recap a Dunhill with early week headlines focused on the Amateurs teeing it up, namely Jay Monahan and Yasir Al Rumayan, alongside a bevy of LIV stars. And it was Tyrell Hatton securing his 3rd Dunhill title in the end. We also discuss the KFT Championship, and the Sanderson Farms Championship. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/livingituppod/support
The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship created no shortage of talking points. Should dogs be allowed on golf courses? Does Bob Mac have a point about the 17th at St Andrews needing blown up? Is his (and others') swearing getting out of control? Is Bryce responsible for the new Old Tom Morris statue in St Andrews? And, oh yeah... what should we make of Jay Monahan and Yasir Al Rumayyan playing golf together? Michael, Bryce and Alex discuss all of those points on this week's episode of The bunkered Podcast. Elsewhere, there's chat about a golf course closing to visitors next summer, as well as an explainer of the new ‘winter rules' and a return of 'Sadie Says'. It's a beefy Friday episode, as Brendan is joined by Mr. Tron Carter of No Laying Up to discuss topics from across the world of sports. The show begins with Brendan picking Ball Knower Tron's brain about his various football teams, with the two going back and forth about the state of the Falcons, Jaguars, Commanders, and Boston College, before transitioning into a discussion about the potential for private equity to invest in college football like it has with golf. This then leads the two to the big golf news of the week, Jay Monahan and Yasir Al-Rumayyan's pairing at the Dunhill Links. Brendan and Tron recap Thursday's round for the two, Rory McIlroy's comments about a PGA Tour-PIF deal being wrapped up by year's end, and Matt Fitzpatrick's quotes about his belief that the DP World Tour should not have strategically partnered with the PGA Tour. With plenty of LIV players in the field at the Dunhill, Brendan then presents Patrick Reed's latest musings, a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that Reed believes describes himself. From there, it's a whiparound through the rest of the schedule, touching on 71-year-old Reed Hughes' participation in the Sanderson, the Thursday round of the KFT Finals, and Tron's apathy toward the Champs Tour, much to the dismay of Producer PJ. To wrap things up, Brendan and Tron get into some unsubstantiated rumors before answering a few Golf Advice emails, offering help on "golf penance," a round with Ian Poulter, and some parenting issues.
Andy and Brendan bring in the month of October with this meandering episode on a wide array of pro golf and non-golf topics. They begin with a debate about pumpkin patches. Then they get to the news that PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and Saudi PIF's Yasir Al-Rumayyan are playing together in the Dunhill this week alongside their pro partners, Billy Boy and Mean Dean. This leads to a lengthy digression on the ability to get a deal done on the golf course, as well as an exploration on some of the many other amateur/celebrity names in the field. Then they get to some minutiae on the Furyk and Friends Champions Tour weekend. The Sanderson marks the return of Cutthroat Corner, as well as a chat on Monday Q's report about the reduction of fields and cards memo that was sent out. They close with a discussion on the KFT Championship at French Lick, who is in, who is out, and where cards are on the line and some argue it is the purest moment in sports. Will Doctor gives you the sharpest card for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and Korn Ferry Tour Championship! -Top 5 favs for Dunhill -2 matchups for Dunhill -1 t10 for Dunhill -2 outrights for Dunhill -Dunhill best bet -KFT Championship outright -KFT Championship best bet Summary Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Jon Rahm (0:54 - 5:20) Jon Rahm opens at +650, fresh off a second-place finish at the Open de España. Despite his strong recent form, Will Doctor passes on Rahm due to the unpredictable nature of his game and the ongoing conflict between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour. Rahm's excellent play over the past month is acknowledged, but his missed cut at this event in 2019 and distractions from the LIV-PGA dispute make him a risky pick. Rory McIlroy (5:21 - 10:30) McIlroy, priced at +700, has several near-wins this season, including a playoff loss at the BMW PGA Championship. His putting has been outstanding, but Will Doctor is concerned about potential distractions as McIlroy is paired with prominent figures in the pro-am. Despite McIlroy's stellar form and strong history at the Dunhill, Will Doctor opts to skip him this week, but favors McIlroy over Rahm. Tyrrell Hatton vs. Tommy Fleetwood (11:00 - 16:00) Hatton, priced at 11-1, has won this event twice but has struggled with slow starts this year. Will Doctor backs Hatton in a matchup against Fleetwood, whose poor putting and recent finishes (no better than 22nd) at the Dunhill raise concerns. Fleetwood's past success at the Dunhill, including multiple second-place finishes, is overshadowed by recent struggles. Shane Lowry (16:01 - 18:00) Lowry, priced at 20-1, is passed over due to his subpar putting. Despite strong ball striking, Will Doctor believes Lowry's struggles on the greens will keep him from contending this week. Robert MacIntyre vs. Shane Lowry (18:01 - 21:00) Will Doctor picks MacIntyre over Lowry in a matchup, citing MacIntyre's recent solid play, including a win at the Scottish Open and multiple top finishes. MacIntyre's consistent driving and putting make him a safer pick than Lowry. Grant Forrest (22:00 - 25:00) Forrest is Will Doctor's first outright pick, priced at 80-1. His recent form, including top-10 finishes at the Irish Open and Open de España, along with strong past performances at the Dunhill, make him a contender. Will Doctor also picks Forrest for a top-10 finish at +375. Tom McKibben (25:01 - 27:00) McKibben, at 60-1, is another outright pick. Despite recent struggles, McKibben's strong driving and iron play are highlighted as key strengths. His 10th-place finish at the BMW PGA signals a return to form, making him a value bet for this week. Best Bet: Nicholas Norgaard Over Patrick Reed (27:01 - 30:00) Norgaard is chosen over Reed at -115. Norgaard's recent win at the British Masters and strong play over the past month make him a reliable pick, while Reed's top-10 finish last week is attributed mostly to luck with putting. Korn Ferry Tour Championship John Pak (30:01 - 33:00) Pak, priced at 45-1, is Will Doctor's outright pick. Pak has shown recent improvement, finishing in the top 15 in his last two starts. Will Doctor believes Pak is well-positioned to win and secure a PGA Tour card. Isaiah Salenda (33:01 - 35:00) Salenda is Will Doctor's best bet for a top-20 finish at +320. His long drives make him well-suited for the demanding Pete Dye course, and Will Doctor expects him to rebound after a missed cut last week. Conclusion Will Doctor closes by encouraging listeners to stay tuned for more coverage and to review his Sanderson Farms Championship preview. His picks for the Alfred Dunhill Links and Korn Ferry Tour Championship offer a mix of well-researched matchups, outright winners, and best bets to guide bettors for the upcoming tournaments. Label: Dunhill/ABC 4138Year: 1968Condition: M-Last Price: $25.00. Not currently available for sale.Besides the classic A side, this single is doubly wonderful because of the great garage-rock nugget hiding on the B side. The A side is a specially edited version of a 3:28 album track. Collector Nerd Alert: Most pressings of this release are on Dunhill/ABC; however, at the beginning of the single's run a few copies were released on Dunhill... those command slightly higher prices. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Dunhill/ABC Records factory sleeve. It has very nearly Mint labels, and the vinyl (styrene) looks almost untouched. The astounding audio from this 45 shines through pristine Mint on the A side... a real treat! (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)

It's a punchy Wednesday episode as Andy and Brendan are giddy about post-Ryder Cup developments. They begin with the addition of an “Andrew Waterman” to the Dunhill links at the real Old Course. They giggle about the need for a pseudonym in a real European Tour event, and the inclusion of five LIV players in one of its preeminent events. Then they turn their attention to Daddy Schauffele, the subject of several articles with comments focused on player compensation in the Ryder Cup. There are some amusing comps and several critiques of the comments, support for some of the notions put forth, and the menacing mention of “courts” having a potential say in the debate. There's also some ire for Schauffele and Cantlay. Schedule for the week hits on the KFT finals and what exactly is at stake, including the potential for Ale Tosti to finish No. 1 overall in the points and have full status for next year. This leads to a couple more Tosti Tales. The beloved Sanderson, its field, and some favorite groups are given the final say in a rambling episode.

In early ‘80s California, a new kind of music was brewing that blended the psychedelic sounds of the '60s with the modern day post-punk ethos. This week, hosts Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot reflect on the Paisley Underground movement. They'll discuss the prominent bands like The Bangles, explore what made the scene so special and explain its impact on indie rock. Jim and Greg will also look back at the 1964 hit by The Shangri-Las, "Leader of the Pack," almost 60 years later. Plus, they'll review the new record from The Hives. Our featured interview tonight is with Rich Esserman. Rich has been smoking, collecting, and writing about pipes for over 40-years, and he is best known for collecting large-size Dunhill pipes. Brian and Rich are going back to the discussions with Fred Hanna to see where Rich agrees with Fred, and where he has his own take on different aspects of pipes and tobacco. At the top of the show, Brian will have a tobacco review on Savinelli's Janus blend.
This Friday episode was recorded on a personal free zoom account with the 40-minute time limit, so it cuts off abruptly at the end, and one person was in his car shouting at the bluetooth. Andy and Brendan close out the week discussing the back-and-forth flurry of lawsuits this week -- the PGA Tour counterclaiming against LIV, Pat Reed expanding his defamation suit to include more people and a different jurisdiction, and a slew of LIV boys dropping from its suit, leaving 3 cannon fodder possibilities. They also discuss the report of an imminent TV deal with Fox that would have LIV buying time to get on the air. Rory McIlroy's comments on OWGR and eventual peace talks are reviewed. They close with a PrecisionPro #FBF on the 2007 Dunhill, where Rory earned his Euro Tour card in just his second pro start.
This ramshackle Wednesday episode comes to you with Andy in a car and Brendan in a construction zone. The two try to make it snappy, hitting on the shhhhedule for the week, the importance of the Dunhill to the future of a bolstered European fall schedule, how the players can impose their will on that schedule, and what it might mean for the Sanderson, our other beloved event of the week. The back half of the podcast is on the news that LIV Golf has a format for its season finale or championship, with a dizzying mix of match and stroke play formats, teams calling out their opponents, and lots of cash. They discuss whether it's a good, if not confusing and potentially incoherent, format to experiment with in Doral.
