Happy New Year! A happiest of new year to all the listeners of the Naked onion mystery tours podcast! and this is season 3 episode 1! How exciting! I am truly excited and honored to be here. We have had some truly exciting guests on the show Mel the Podcastor and Kitty Rebellion are returning hosts to NOMT. Mel the podcastor is the host producer of past level 50 podcast she started this podcast to bring awareness to woman there is a life past 50! and Kitty Rebellion is a super hero for women posting motivational videos on tik tok and helping women wake up from the patriarchy. Artificial Avocado or Justin Thyme! an up and coming modern artist who takes his drawings and does them all digitaly. I have one of his creations in my closet! Freekbase a celebrity on Tik TOk and the base King of funk! NOMT has subscribed to his chanel and has seen his show live. Its truly and amazing event. Adam Avitable podcastor comedian and lover of bacon and Astro Poet a woman who writes poetry which takes you back in time when things were much less complicated (a book is in the works)and Mary Catherine Mcdonald author of unbroken the trauma response is real! We ended the year with Mary Catherine I bought the book so I could do research for the episode and it was everything a book about trauma should be. It evokes healing and new ways of expression which are less toxic than the old coping mechanisms we were taught as children. Its been an amazing year. We the cast couldn't have done with without our listeners. We have big plans to for the podcast and for women... such big plans... However if I have learned anything from this long journey its get rid of the expectations. I mean it. When I call a guest for the show I don't have any expectations of them. I wait for a response. If I get one fabulous and if I don't its all good I move on to the next big thing whatever it is. I am patient and the universe is so good. I have notice it all happens for a reason. If I don't get what I want then it isn't really what I need. If it helps there are no new years resolutions this year. There are only manifesting it into reality. I don't set goals anymore. I write it down and I will get to it. That diet is just me not overeating at every meal. I eat a ton of vegetables and its really hard to quit sugar so I do my best. Thats it! No beating myself up or others based on unrealistic expectations set up by the media and men. So again happy new year!!! and thank you again for being the best part of the Naked Onion Mystery Tours Podcast! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/nakedonionmysterytourspodcast/support
I got to spend a lunch break with Adam Avitable, co-host of Dating Kinda Sucks podcast and a man of many talents- you could say he is a polymath. We also chatted about getting out of your comfort zone and failure. We discussed about how he started Dating Kind Sucks in 2018 with his co-host Sara and how the show has evolved. Adam also discussed with me his love for Mayo and how Bacon got involved with his tagline and content creation on TikTok and social media. ITs summertime! Break out the ice tea, clean the grill, and if you have a pool its time to dust off all the pool toys! Hopefull this is all you are thinking about right now and not anything pressing. I can assure you the NOMT podcast group is doing the same. I have goals this summer I am working on Presently I Edith am working on selling my place (Its under contract now) apart of making the dream of a podcast a reality. I have gotten rid of everything I own, sent family pictures and keepsakes to my brother in Portland Oregon. For me 5 years ago the thought of letting go was not even an option. My mother passed and I was a complete wreck. I wasn't able to navigate work because of all the stress. I was my mothers caregiver for years. I can tell you the real world does not care if you had a death in the family and as Mel Robbins says "No one is coming"! In 2018 after my mothers death the time was quite troubling, I was told how to think feel and act by a lot of people. Because my mother always told me what to do I didn't know how to do for myself. Decision making was very hard for me. In 2018 my brother and my father moved from the state and my sister and I weren't speaking. I understand now she was just as lost as I was and very angry at the world. Fast forward to the future I became a tik tok addict. Watching video after video until I came upon a creator.Kitty Rebellion who is an advocate for women and is the host producer of Kitty Rebellion Podcast. In January of 2022 we started podcasting together Kitty, Myself and Erin Dawn. Erin Dawn has since started her own broadcast giving movie reviews (I adore this and wish her the absolute best in her endevors). Kitty Rebellion and I continued with NOMT. Kitty brought a couple of friends to the show Coach Kitty athlete and fitness organizer, Mel the Podcaster host producer of "Past Level 50 Podcast". We recorded for a year and Coach had to take a hiatus due to life events. Kitty, Mel and myself continued the show and having guests like "Adam Avitable" host producer of dating kinda sucks podcast and "Angel at the starlight hotel" podcast. We have had Astro Poet or Venus_in_the_mines lover of poetry and science, Justin Thyme or Artificial_Avocado super hero space weirdo artist and businessman, Alicia or Angelishfit on tik tok she is a fitness influencer she has practiced brazilian Ju Jitzo for 15 years and is teaching woman and men the art of self defense how to eat and also how to work out. Freekbase the madd bass player on tik tok who is out there spreading love via his bass guitar. He is live every night at 10:00 pm anyone can join the live and enjoy the party which he is the maestro! He has stuffed panda's and kittens who come in for a visit. Its been an amazing year here for the Naked Onion Mystery Tours Podcast and we owe so much to our listeners and to our guests for making this past year amazing. We appreciate you all very much the gratitude is endless. For now we are taking time off until August but I will be making mini episodes so the momentum doesn't slow down. I will be podcasting from the studio and the road during my trip. I can't wait! This is truly and inspiring adventure I never thought possible! Once my place sells I will be on the road to New Mexico where I plan to go to school for broadcast media! Until then Thank you for listening to the NOMT podcast! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/nakedonionmysterytourspodcast/support

Dating, relationships and sex. The “Dating Kinda Sucks” Podcast with Sarah G and Adam Avitable covers all aspects of what we may be doing right or what we're definitely doing wrong when it comes to love and relationships. Since meeting at a blogging conference in 2015, Sarah and Adam collaborated to help answer questions and ponder what a healthy and meaningful relationship truly is. While fielding both intelligent and downright ridiculous questions from listeners, these two hosts go in depth with their own experiences in the relationship world and try to help others blaze their own trail in the wild dating arena. In this episode we will discuss:Having confidence within the dating worldNot taking rejection or ghosting personallyDating in modern times with social mediaTinder and Bumble apps and the bar sceneBeing able to explore the dating scene and not settlingFeeling comfortable with being yourselfLetting insecurity and desperation interfere with our goalsKeeping communication open with who we're datingBeing be comfortable with being alone and on your ownWorking through insecurities we have with ourselvesCleansing ourselves of toxic relationships and friendshipsRock bottom and the momentum needed for moving forwardQuotes:“The biggest error I see is people letting insecurity get ahold of them... People who aren't confident that they're worthwhile and they're worth someone's time and they let that insecurity rot away at them... it's never healthy... you have to understand you probably are good enough... You should treat yourself like you're a good enough person and not go with people who make you go crazy.” –Adam (17:45)“I think you have to be comfortable being alone... Really get to know yourself alone and be confident in who you are when you're just by yourself. That is step number one...I think two, there's a lot of social media pressure out there of what success is. So people say “Oh people are having kids and getting married and they look so happy and successful, so that must be the trajectory I need to take to be happy and successful.” And that's my challenge to that, how about you just be happy and find success by being alone and being comfortable with who you are first?” –Sarah (20:00)“It's okay to grow. It's okay to change.” –Sarah (32:28)“Education is important too. The less educated somebody is, the less likely they are to break out of that cycle...the more educated you are, the more exposure you have to a lot things you never knew or thought about. The less educated you are, you tend to go to whatever is in your immediate vicinity, that is all that you know and you don't know anything further so it can be hard... you can't help somebody get out of this. They have to want to change or be better or improve their life and that's completely dependent on their own fortitude.” –Adam (32:58)“Sometimes some really bad thing has to happen for you to have a wakeup call instead of taking the initiative to try something on your own. You have to hit a really deep rock bottom and you're like I will not accept this anymore, something has to change and that is the momentum you get to move on to something better.” –Sarah (34:01)“We don't grow from happy moments in our lives. The only time we grow as a person is how you deal with bad things that happen in your life.” –Adam (34:18)Links: Dating Kinda Sucks Podcast Website:https://www.datingkindasucks.com/ Dating Kinda Sucks Podcast: Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/datingkindasuckspodcastAdam Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/avitableCo-host Sarah Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/simplysarahg_Sarah G.'s Blog: http://www.sarahgrat.com/Sponsors:LadyBoss is a premium nutrition company that provides the best weight loss supplemen
