Storytime is one of the most influential times for children. Childrens' books are loaded with quotes and themes designed to encourage children to become the best people they can be. Over at Discussion Partners, Tom Casey and other senior executives spend most of their time teaching people to become more effective leaders and guiding them on how to invest in the development of their employees with the intention of promoting the overall success of the company. Reading children's books to each other has become Discussion Partners go-to way to figure out what they would have learned about leadership if they had just paid attention all those years ago. Today host Jack Russo finds out the not so hidden messages we missed when those books were read to us, and when we read them to our children.

Writing has been an enjoyable pastime for me for as long as I can remember. But it wasn't until 2012 that I was inspired and encouraged to take my writing seriously and get something published. In 2013, I published One Thing About Life, my first novel. I'm currently working on a sequel that I plan to publish later this year. It didn't take long before I realized that I wanted to be a well-rounded author. I decided to make the kids a priority, so I created a character and published Numbers With Picou. Then I published ABC's With Picou a few months later. Ryalen For Three, a children's book for ages 4-9, is set to be published this summer.

In this episode, I share from a Wikipedia article, the ups and the major downs of the life of Joanne Rowling… better known as J.K. Rowling, the author of the 7 book Harry Potter Series! In her own words she said, “She was as poor as one could be and not be homeless,” about the time she lived in a flat she described as mouse infested. How can a woman go from being in the ‘poor house' to being the highest paid author of all time? It only took a bit of imagination! I am your host, Marci Nettles. I have had a lifetime of opportunities where I had the choice to Breakdown or Breakthrough. It is my hope this Podcast may become your light in the darkness, as you listen to the stories of people I consider “heroes.” Each one had a point where they too had to choose to either Breakdown or Breakthrough! Thank you for listening! For a copy of the article shared in this episode, go to Find Marci at marcinettles(.)com
Chad Stewart joins this episode of The Jeff Dornik Show to discuss his youth fiction series Britfield, which has really taken hold among families around the world. This is evidence that people are starving for good story-telling with traditional values, as opposed to the woke garbage filling school libraries and Hollywood movies. During this conversation, Stewart shares his views on the current state of entertainment and why it seems to have gone downhill so fast. Hollywood, he shares, is not in the business of turning a profit… because they aren't. They are in the business of turning your kids and your mind away from conservative and Christian values towards their woke Leftist ideology. It's all about the propaganda, which is why the CIA setup shop in Hollywood decades ago… they understood the power of entertainment when it comes to influence over the hearts and minds of population. Stewart's series Britfield is confronting the current system head-on with good story-telling, conservative values and zero magic/witchcraft/occult, which is found in almost all of the blockbuster books and films. The first book in the series is in the process of getting made into a movie, and is expected to soar to become a blockbuster hit. To order the Britfield books, please visit https://britfield.com. Haley Kennington joins this episode of The Jeff Dornik Show. She recently wrote an in depth article detailing the overly sexualized books in public school libraries and how parents are being forced to take on a monster of the system in order to protect their children from these obscenities. The reality is that we need to revisit the obscenity laws currently in America, as they only protect children from photos and video of actual pornography, but don't protect them from animation or drawings of sex acts. We need to put pressure on our legislators to codify protections from this form of pornography that's found it's way into our schools and libraries. Kennington was the Research and Archive Editor for The Daily Wire's documentary What is a Woman, starring Matt Walsh. She was also the Research Director and Story Editor for The Plot Against the President. She's currently the News Editor for Wrong Speak Publishing.
