Hi everyone. My apologies for the late arrival of this episode. I have recently transitioned from an old analogue system of recording my podcasts to the more digital system using GarageBand. Being the non technical Boomer that I am, I had to study many Youtube tutorials and get some advice from the experts at Store DJ in Melbourne, so a big thank you to them. I actually had this episode planned out back in mid October but only managed to complete it today so I decided to combine October & November into one episode. The set kicks off with the awesome "Caught Up" by Gryffin & Olivia O'Brien and moves into two more great commercial house tracks "Stay With Me" and "Lionheart". Tom Grennan's vocals on Lionheart are amazing. Russ Rich & Debby Holiday cover Eruption's "I Can't Stand The Rain" then Dirty Disco take over with two stand out remixes for Taylor Swift and France Joli respectively. Kryder & Natalie Shay produce a nice cover of rapture and Lee Davey-Brown has a cool track "Ah Yeah". Nicki Minaj hits back with her new song "Super Freaky Girl" and Sam Smith's mammoth hit "Unholy" gets a bangin' remix from Brian Cua. The set closes out with Nick Jay & Eleanor's cover of "Silence". I was a little skeptical when I saw this cover come out but the 7th Heaven club mix is simply jaw dropping. My brother Nick and one of my nearest & dearest friends, Phillip both celebrated event birthdays in October and November respectively so this dual month edition of UP! is dedicated to both of them. Just scraping in before the end of the month comes the first edition of UP! for 2022. The January edition is late because I moved from Sydney to Melbourne in December and have only just set up my decks. This is also the reason there wasn't a December 2021 edition. This set starts with some funky house tracks and transitions into uplifting, main room anthems. Kicking off is the Chris Brogan track "Good Time" followed by new music from Nikkole, Joel Corry and New Hype. Guy Sceiman teams up with Inaya Day again to give a thumping new interpretation of the classic Evelyn Thomas track "High Energy". Dirty Disco work their magic on two tracks from Kylie Minogue and Charli XCX respectively. Wayne G. does an awesome remix for France Joli's "Heart Of Stone" as does Stephen Jusko on the Sam Feldt & Kesha collaboration "Stronger". Other outstanding remixes come from 7th Heaven, Thiago Antony, Roberto Ferrari and Brian Cua. The January '22 edition of UP! puts the boot into 2022 so... After several fits and stops, Party Favorz is finally dropping the annual Fall Edition featuring the season's biggest circuit, tribal anthems and is this one HUGE! It took awhile to wrap my head around some of these tracks to get them to flow the way I envisioned but after trial and error then walking away and coming back to it — everything finally fell together. Everything you come to expect is here with all the latest circuit offerings featuring the biggest hit songs, the biggest divas, fisting pumping anthems, uplifting tracks, and just plain ole party hard  fun-filled tribal fun. It's more than enough to make you forget about the pandemic and look forward to coming out the other end of this shitshow. With this release, I'm finally back on schedule and will likely start rolling out some of the promised Ultimate 90's House Classics later this week before jumping into the latest Disco House and Peak Hour sets. I'm not certain about the release timeline of the annual Madonna compilation(s) just yet. It'll happen when it happens. For now, I know you guys have been eagerly waiting for the next circuit set since July and I didn't want to make you wait until next week. The 4th edition of Essential Kylie Minogue focuses on her single releases in the 2010's. Her album 'Aphrodite', released in 2010 spawned the hit singles "All The Lovers", Get Outta My Way" and "Better Than Today". The world tour that followed was spectacular in both staging and success. She also collaborated with Taio Cruz on "Higher" which was an instant club hit. Her follow up album 'Kiss Me Once' was another success and gave us the hits "Into The Blue" & "I Was Gonna Cancel". In 2015 Kylie collaborated with her sister Dannii and released the hit single "100 Degrees". In 2018 she released her 13th studio album 'Golden' from which "Raining Glitter" was not an official release but became a big hit in the clubs. Official releases from 'Golden' will feature on the next edition. It’s been a couple of months since my last podcast. I took this year off from doing a June pride edition to recover from a car break-in, during which my laptop and bunch of my music were stolen. It sucks that we live in a world where people feel the need to steal, but I justify it by telling myself that they must’ve needed my belongings more than I did. Hey, there’s a silver lining to everything, right? However, I didn’t take June off from making new music. This high-energy mid-summer podcast contains my take on Carly Rae Jepsen’s summer 2017 jam – “Cut To The Feeling” – done in conjunction with my tireless production partner, George Figares. Hey guys, Something you probably know about me by now is that I'm not really big into "looking back." I love making memories with friends, and all the traveling and music along the way hold a special place in my heart, but I'm the kind of person who generally likes to let things live where they live. It's why I want to write my own songs and make something new to put out into the world. It's also why I don't really think about anything I've done creatively in the past, no matter what my feelings are about it, good or otherwise. I'm usually focused on what I'm doing at the moment, and how that can go into the world in the best way. But there is one event I played that to this day stays with me, and I find myself thinking about it from time to time - Pines Party 2011 on Fire Island. As a DJ, you have certain dreams and goals, and this was definitely one of them. I didn't lobby for this party - one day, Josh Wood (who produced the party at the time) called me up out of the blue and asked if I'd like to play it. I think I was at the supermarket at the time because I can clearly remember having some kind of moment in the produce section at Trader Joe's. I also remember being really happy with the music I was playing at the time of this event - I had just remixed "Someone Like You" by Adele with Brian Cua and it was one of the first remixes I was really happy with and that other DJs were playing. While there are a few tracks in this set that I wish I hadn't played, generally speaking this night holds up. Listening to it again after so many years, I can still remember the moments the crowd exploded to certain tracks, or when the the sun started to come up over the Atlantic (it was during "Blue Savannah," btw). This night was magical. So here it is. My ALMOST full set from Pines Party 2011 (sorry, but I think the first couple of tracks are missing - I can't remember why but I know I didn't start with the first track on here.) Thanks to everyone who made this night so special and continue to support me to this day. Pines Party is still one of the best circuit events produced and I'm forever grateful to them for this night. This podcast was inspired by the fun, outdoor parties I'm doing this Summer. The San Diego Zoo Party, Sandblast, Pines Party, The Med Cruise for Atlantis Events - all have such an upbeat, happy feel to them. There are a few tracks on here that have been previously unreleased, like my dub of Dionne Mitchell's "I Love Music," "Strength" by Bill Bouvier featuring Erin Hamilton, and my private mix of "Someone Like You" by the amazing ADELE, which is a little bigger sounding than the one Brian Cua & I released.
