Estimated reading time: 6 minutes Club Taylor 2k26 Volume 4 Closes Out the Series Party Favorz is back with the fourth and final volume of Club Taylor 2k26, featuring standout Taylor Swift remixes and dancefloor-ready reworks of her biggest hits and fan favorites. This latest entry in the Club Taylor Platinum Edition series pushes deeper into modern EDM, circuit, progressive, and house sounds while closing out one of the strongest remix collections we've assembled in years. Honestly, there's not much left to say about this series musically that wasn't already covered in the previous drop, so instead I'm going to update everyone on what's been happening behind the scenes lately. Goodbye Facebook and Instagram First up, the Party Favorz Facebook page is officially gone. Apparently, we're among the early casualties of Meta's decision to lay off thousands of workers and replace them with AI-driven moderation and customer service. Most of you already know I'm a strong supporter of AI. I use it regularly for writing, artwork concepts, SEO, and website development. However, there's a massive difference between using AI as a productivity tool and weaponizing it against your own users. I had a Meta Verified account, meaning Meta already confirmed I was exactly who I claimed to be. Despite the monthly fee, I never received most of the benefits they advertised. At $20 a month, it simply stopped making sense. After trying unsuccessfully to cancel the subscription directly through Meta, I finally shut it down through PayPal so they could no longer charge my debit card. That's when the retaliation started. Suddenly, I lost admin access to the Party Favorz page. What followed was nearly two weeks of going in circles with Meta's AI support system. It repeatedly told me the issue would be resolved within 24 to 48 hours, only for absolutely nothing to happen. Every time I returned, the case had mysteriously been marked “closed.” Starting a new support request only restarted the same endless loop of fake instructions, missing menu options, dead-end links, and canned responses. Eventually, I realized I no longer needed Facebook or Instagram at all. The biggest advantage those platforms offered was keeping up with DJs posting new remix drops on SoundCloud. Since I already follow all of them directly on SoundCloud anyway, Meta really became nothing more than unnecessary middleman clutter. Subscribe By Email Instead Going forward, the best way to stay updated on new Party Favorz episodes is to subscribe by email using the link in this post or in the sidebar. You won't get spammed. You'll only receive an email whenever a new episode drops. That's it. No algorithms. No shadow bans. No corporate nonsense deciding whether you get to see my content. Medical Debt, Politics, and a Broken System Most of you already know I've been dealing with some pretty brutal medical issues over the past several months. Thankfully, the wounds on my leg have finally started healing, albeit slowly. Still, the financial aftermath has been devastating. I'm currently drowning in medical debt and doing everything possible to negotiate those bills down to realistic numbers. At this point, it's basically “take it or leave it” because there's only so much blood you can squeeze from a stone. That's why it infuriates me watching this administration throw money around like monopoly cash. While average Americans struggle to pay rent, groceries, insurance, and medical bills, Trump reportedly pressured the Department of Justice into creating what amounts to a $1.8 billion slush fund for some of the most undeserving people imaginable — individuals who assaulted Capitol Police officers with flag poles, chemical spray, fists, stun guns, and fire extinguishers, smeared feces throughout the Capitol, trashed congressional offices causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages, hunted lawmakers through the halls of Congress, and openly erected gallows while chanting they wanted to hang Vice President Mike Pence because he refused to overturn the election. Many pleaded guilty. Others were convicted by juries of their peers after mountains of video evidence left little room for debate. Yet somehow, these people are now being portrayed as victims deserving taxpayer-funded restitution while working Americans drown under medical debt, rising grocery bills, and stagnant wages. At the same time, Trump continues pushing vanity projects most Americans never asked for, including demands that taxpayers fund his proposed White House ballroom after initially claiming donors would cover the cost. Reports surrounding financial protections tied to his broader political agreements have only fueled concerns that he and members of his family are effectively shielding themselves from future IRS scrutiny indefinitely while continuing to profit from political influence, overseas ventures, licensing deals, cryptocurrency schemes, donor-funded properties, endless merchandise grifts, and every imaginable opportunity to monetize political power. Meanwhile, regular Americans are told to tighten their belts. Well, some of us damn sure care. Gas prices here in Georgia continue creeping upward, hovering around $4 a gallon. Grocery costs for two people in our household have exploded from roughly $300 a month during the Biden years to anywhere between $500 and $700 now. Add crushing medical debt on top of that, and watching Trump and his orbit monetize political power at every opportunity becomes even harder to stomach. Still, despite all of this financial burden, Rick and I will somehow find a way to muddle through because that's what ordinary people do. We adapt. We sacrifice. We survive. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the wealthy political class currently fleecing the country while pretending they alone can save it. The Party Favorz Website Overhaul Is Complete On a more positive note, the Party Favorz website overhaul is finally finished. The site should still feel familiar, but the biggest goal was making older episodes easier to discover for newer visitors. Over the years, the Club Taylor series, Funky House Sessions, Peak Hour, Circuit & Anthems, and countless legacy sets have grown so large that too much content was getting buried beneath newer releases. Now, older episodes are featured more prominently so listeners can better understand the full scope of what Party Favorz offers across multiple genres and generations of dance music. There are only so many ways to redesign a site like this without losing its identity, but I think I finally landed on something that works. Summer Leap 2026 Is Up Next I know many of you are already waiting for Summer Leap 2026. The good news is that the tracks have already been selected and the set is well underway. My hope is to have it ready sometime next week. After that, we'll officially move into the annual Gay Pride sets, which are always among the biggest releases of the year around here. Between Club Taylor 2k26, the website overhaul, and everything happening behind the scenes personally, it feels good to finally say that things are slowly getting back on track. Until the next time...ENJOY! Singapore’s traffic is about to get a little more expensive. From January, ERP rates at four expressway gantries will go up, while six other locations will see temporary reductions over the year-end school holidays. The Land Transport Authority says these changes are aimed at managing congestion where traffic has been building up. But will higher ERP rates really ease the jams, or do drivers just get used to them over time? And are these changes fair to commuters? We’ve all been there: trying to squeeze into the MRT during morning peak-hour. But, would you wake up earlier to avoid the crowd and save money on public transport? If you’re willing to shift your travel schedules to avoid the morning rush hour, you might be looking at receiving up to 80% in fare discounts. This is part of efforts to better manage peak-hour crowding on buses and trains, especially in north-east Singapore. It is also part of a planned refresh of the Travel Smart Journeys scheme, which will cover more bus services than it did before. So, can this newly refreshed incentive scheme reduce the morning peak-hour MRT congestion in Singapore? And more importantly, will it help to really change public transport users’ behaviours? On The Big Story, Hongbin Jeong speaks with Dr Ong Ghim Ping Raymond, Associate Professor and Deputy Head (Research) in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore to find out. Magitman on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 7/29/24 About Magitman - Igal Magitman has proven that even in the increasingly saturated and competitive scene, one can still rise to shine above the rest with enough stamina and raw talent. From the sleeves of labels like 1605, Definitive Recordings, Global Underground, Spinnin Records, Twisted Frequency, Renaissance Toolr oom and so on. To the decks of the biggest DJs worldwide, Magitman has reached the vaulted status of established artist that so many aspiring producers strive to achieve-his music has been licensed for use in Sony PlayStation games. Now with numerous Top 100 best-sellers under his belt along with his mix compilations and artist album, Magitman continues to raise his profile and status as a producer in the industry. As his music has spread around the globe, so has the demand for his own dynamic and energetic DJ performances. A frequent flier already with tens of thousands of miles under his wing, Magitman has played some of the world's best events and clubs in locations from Shanghai, thru Europe, to Mexico & Brazil. Stay tuned for this guy as he never stops surprising fans. _______________________________ One of the global dance scene's biggest surprises of the last 18 months comes in the form of the absolute dance floor devastation brought about by the Israeli progressive duo, Brisker and Magitman. In every corner of the globe, this versatile pair have impacted the very direction of dance music, with earthshaking productions influenced by breaks, house, trance and progressive, and support from a virtual "who's who" of the DJ elite. Since their first release in 2006, Magitman and Brisker Roman have had countless releases and remixes, appearing on such influential and stalwart labels as Baroque, AVA, Audio therapy, SOG, Babylon, Method, Twisted Frequency and Dissident. Their music has been sought out by Sony for use in Playstation games, and by Hernan Cattaneo for inclusion on his Renaissance Compilation, "Sequential".  As their music has spread around the globe, so has the demand for their own dynamic and energetic DJ performances; the lads have already logged tens of thousands of miles in the air and played some of the world's best events and clubs in locations from Hong Kong to Brazil and everywhere in between and released their first mix-comp, entitled "Inception". With their momentum building to a fever pitch, 2009 looks set to be the year that the rest of the world discovers Brisker and Magitman, cementing their place among the best the world has to offer. Spring will see the release of their first full-length artist album, along with numerous EP, single releases and remixes. Even more intense touring is sure to follow, with a first North American jaunt already in the works, as well as return visits to East Asia, Europe and South America. If you hear a big sound booming from a pair of decks anywhere in the world, rest assured that the progressive duo from Israel was somewhere in the mix. And if you are fortunate enough, it will be Brisker and Magitman themselves behind those decks, giving new intensity to the term "Peak Hour". Stay tuned- Brisker and Magitman are on the move. I'm going to be honest: the entire dance music scene is in flux right now. Genre lines are blurring, creating chaos for DJs trying to curate balanced sets. While I'm adaptable, the rapid changes are working my last nerve. We've always avoided Dubstep and Drum & Bass due to their mixing challenges and overall intensity. Most listeners don't want an entire set of either genre. This left us with Tech House, Breaks, Bass House, and Techno as our primary sources for the Peak Hour series. Tech House used to be the glue that held all these sets together, but it's undergoing a similar transformation to Afro House—becoming more commercial and less dancefloor-oriented. The influx of Latin House and commercial tracks itno the genre makes finding genuine Tech House a daunting task. Some tracks now fit better in our Funky House series. The term "Melodic House and Techno" is misleading. These genres are vastly different. A prime example is "See You Sweat" by Max Styler and GENESI, a Techno-Tech House hybrid that's currently #1 on the Beatport Melodic House and Techno chart. I almost overlooked it because Melodic House doesn't typically fit our Peak Hour vibe. Breaks and Bass House have been particularly disappointing lately, offering little to work with. It's been a frustrating process. I've reworked this set three times, digging deep for the right tracks and cutting out what didn't work. While most of it is solid, the overall joy of creating these sets has diminished. I'm considering taking a break from this series and collecting tracks I love over the next several months for a future set as opposed to jumping right in and scooping up a bunch of great songs to include that just aren't there. You might be encountering a surge of tracks labeled "Afro House." But hold on a minute – isn't that what Progressive House used to be called? This trend of rebranding classic genres isn't new. Remember when Deep House morphed into commercial House, then Future House? Great music deserves recognition on its own merits, not through constant relabeling. Speaking of great music, the recent TikTok wave has unearthed some fantastic reworked Progressive House classics. Think genre pioneers like John Creamer & Stephane K, Deep Dish, Scumfrog, and artists who masterfully used heavy percussion – Chus & Ceballos, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon, Friburn & Urik, Peter Rauhofer, and many more. Tracks like Rui Da Silva's timeless "Touch Me" are getting a fresh spin for modern dance floors, and the results are phenomenal! Back to the Future: Revisiting Millennial Dance Music The cyclical nature of dance music trends is undeniable. Right now, the spotlight's on late-90s and early 2000s classics, with artists sampling or revamping entire tracks. It's a trend we wholeheartedly support, and you can expect to hear these gems showcased in future Club Fusion and Peak Hour sets. This trend sparked a trip down memory lane for us here at Party Favorz. Remember our BackSpin series from way back in our early years? Last year, we aimed to revisit the glory days of 2000s dance music, following up on our popular Ultimate 90s House Classics series. We started with a Millennial Dance Classics series, but the sheer diversity of the decade made it tough to curate a cohesive set. After all, massive hits often land in our Top Dance Songs of the Year anyway. So, we decided to resurrect the BackSpin series! This allows us to delve deeper into specific genres that defined the 2000s dance music scene. Each BackSpin release will focus on a distinct genre, with a sprinkle of Trance and Electronica thrown in for good measure. These sets will typically span a five-year period, featuring a mix of crowd-pleasing favorites and some hidden gems ripe for rediscovery – think "It's Love (Trippin')" by Goldtrix and Andrea Brown or "Addicted To Bass" by Puretone featured in volume 1. For those seeking classic remixes by the likes of Thunderpuss, Hex Hector, and Victor Calderone, fear not! We've already covered those in our Classic Circuit Anthems series from 2014. The BackSpin Reboot: A Journey Through Millennial Dance Music Genres The rebooted BackSpin series will explore the vast and vibrant landscape of Millennial dance music, beyond the big remixes.

We've thrown in some Breaks and Trance too, keeping things lively. Our new mix "Vibrate" was knocked out in one sitting. We kept it tight so you won't get bored; the tracks flow smoothly but with surprises to keep the energy high. In other news, we've moved back to our old hosting spot, aiming to settle down. The cost of running our show has been crazy, with some service bills hitting the roof. Not all these services are worth their price, so we're cutting down where we can, but it's still a pricey affair. We hit a snag with our recent move, causing a 24-hour downtime and some missing files. I'm on it, fixing things even on a Sunday. If you're following specific categories on different platforms, hang tight; it might take a month to get everything sorted before they reappear. We're also shaking things up with our donation system, switching to a new provider. More details are coming soon. For now, the donation page is ready (albeit a little sluggish), and if you can chip in, it would really help us cover our costs. I want to apologize for dropping another set on a Sunday (Monday in some parts of the world). I've been juggling personal stuff with updating the website while trying to crank out new episodes, which has thrown off our schedule. We're doing our best to get back on track and make it up to you in the next few months. Hope you all had a great weekend. Get ready for our annual Spring Edition for 2024, specially for our circuit boy fans. Depending on the final tracklist, that set could evolve into two volumes and it appears there will be a second volume of Spring Break 2024. This ambitious endeavor involved a deep dive into our 2023 Club Fusion and Peak Hour releases to compile the most impactful dance anthems that left their mark on the dance floor and resonated as unforgettable earworms. Our selection process focused on streaming numbers from platforms like YouTube and Spotify, complemented by our own personal bias. We've bypassed conventional charts like Billboard, seeking out the true gems that define the year's dance music zeitgeist, far from the repetitive playlists of mainstream charts. Celebrating Variety: The Standout Dance Anthems of 2023 The landscape of 2023's dance music was marked by an exhilarating variety. While many tracks echo the timeless allure of House Music, this year's biggest dance hits have ingeniously woven elements from classic dance anthems into fresh, vibrant creations. This blend of homage and innovation has injected a rich diversity into today's dance music scene, moving beyond monolithic trends. 2023's Dance Music Evolution: From House Roots to 'Jump House' Innovation One standout trend we've christened at Party Favorz is "Jump House," a thrilling evolution in dance music tempo, breaking the 130 BPM ceiling and soaring towards 145 BPM (and sometimes higher). Volume 1 of our Top Dance Songs of 2023 features these high-energy tracks, including hits like cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe's massive "Prada" (142 BPM), a Techno reworking of the Rihanna classic "Disturbia" (141 BPM), Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding's "Miracle" (143 BPM), "Desire" by Calvin Harris & Sam Smith (140 BPM), "When We Were Young (The Logical Song)" by David Guetta & Kim Petras (140 BPM), and many others. These tracks blend pulsating beats with a nod to early millennium Trance, Techno, and House reminiscent of the Hard Dance era of the 2000s. Yet, this surge in BPM doesn't overshadow the enduring appeal of Future House and classic House Music. Tracks like John Summit & Hayla's "Where You Are" and Peggy Gou's "(It Goes Like) Nanana" have dominated the scene, proving that the heart of dance music still beats strong in its foundational genres. At Party Favorz, we've long championed diversity in dance music, advocating against a homogenized sound. Thankfully, 2023 has been a year of rich musical diversity, breaking away from the generic soundscapes that often dominate mainstream platforms. Exploring New Horizons: SoundCloud's Rise in the Dance Music Scene We're going to go out on the limb here and say that SoundCloud really is your best friend (even more than Spot...

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), with its grossly inadequate fleet of about 6,500 buses, has a huge problem. But, as a recent Asian Development Bank (ADB) report shows, there is a possible way out: Route rationalisation. For instance, the report says that just by increasing its peak-hour schedules and diversifying its routes to under-served areas,BMTC can both increase its revenues and reduce commuter wait times at bus stops. To understand this in more detail, DH Radio's Rasheed Kappan speaks to Shaheen Shasa from the Bengaluru Bus Prayanikara Vedike, designer and commuter Chinmay Dholakia and retired Director, Operations, KSRTC, Rajkumar.
