UFC 310 has played out in reality and just as we thought, Kai Asakura couldn't stand up to the Cannibal test, opting instead to take a nap on the job. Shavkat Rakhmonov got a lot more resistance from Ian Machado Garry than he bargained for, and we got to see some of the most egregious judging in recent memory with Volkov-Gane. The undercard also bore witness to more questionable judging in the Sterling-Evloev fight, but alas, what can we do? Yeah, we know what you're thinking. First of all: Men's flyweight pay per view main event? Second of all: Who the hell is Kai Asakura? We get it. From 15,000 feet, maybe UFC 310 doesn't look like the greatest PPV of the year … and it's not. But you know what? It's actually a pretty deep fight card. Not only do you get to see the former two-time Rizin (Risin'? Risen?) bantamweight champ Asakura drop to 125-pounds and fight for the title against Alexandre Pantoja in his UFC debut, but you get to see Shavkat THAT BOY GOOD Rakhmonov and Ian (Machado!) Garry square off in a battle of undefeated prospects. Plus, you got Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volkov (for the interim interim interim heavyweight title, maybe) and Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie (uh, wut?) as well as appearances by such luminaries as Nate THE TRAIN Landwehr (If he doesn't lose, he'll probably win!), Vicente Luque (thankfully NOT fighting Nick Diaz), Aljamain Sterling (fighting on the prelims for some reason) and Chris Weidman (still fighting for some reason). Don't tempt us with a good time, UFC! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

One big win can mean a massive amount in MMA and in this video that's exactly what catapulted these fighters from obscurity to stardom, but what happens when the fighter can't win after that? The two big examples we've highlighted are Kron Gracie and Houston Alexander who just couldn't keep the wins going after blowing up from that initial victory.
Kron Gracie recently was quoted for an off hand comment attacking no gi grapplers, lamenting the rising growth of no gi grappling. I comment on this age old battle of gi vs no gi. I also talk about the role belt ranking systems play in martial arts, in light of an old training partner, Evandro Nunes, taking a strong stance against the ranking system. Jim Norton takes part in the Serra-Longo Fight Team's victory Monday as today's episode of UFC Unfiltered calls upon bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling for nearly 20 minutes alongside Matt Serra and guest co-host Ray Longo. As the guys dive straight into Sterling's UFC 288 win over former bantamweight king Henry Cejudo, Aljo discusses the mid-fight adjustments that were necessary to stave off the former Olympic gold medalist's valiant effort during last Saturday night's PPV headliner in New Jersey. Sterling then dishes his thoughts on Sean O'Malley hopping into the cage immediately after his win as Ray Longo cracks up thinking about how Aljo's good friend and sparring partner Merab Dvalishvili stole the show by climbing up the cage wearing O'Malley's bright red jacket. Speaking of the Serra-Longo Fight Team, Matt and Ray sing lightweight Matt Frevola's praises after the “Steamrolla” successfully detonated his third straight 1st-round KO with a beautifully-placed punch that earned him a $50,000 post-fight bonus and a callout acceptance from Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett. The guys wrap up the show with the rest of their thoughts on the UFC 288 card and some analysis on how Henry Cejudo stacks up in a potential fight with Merab Dvalishvili.

With UFC 288 right around the corner, Matt Serra and Jim Norton are joined by two fighters on Saturday's card in featherweight Charles Jourdain and Serra-Longo trained lightweight Matt Frevola. After Matt begins the show with a recap of his trip to England that saw him reunite with former rival Georges St-Pierre, Quebec's own Charles Jourdain hops on the show and promptly explains how GSP's success inspired the Canadian featherweight as a pre-teen. Ahead of his matchup against Kron Gracie of the legendary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu family, Jourdain explains why as a BJJ black belt himself he is prepared to defeat the youngest son of Rickson Gracie. Then, the guys are joined by Matt Frevola, who explains how the fan-friendly matchup between him and Drew Dober on the final fight of the prelims will entice fans to buy Saturday's pay-per-view headlined by his Serra-Longo teammate Aljamain Sterling's bantamweight title fight vs. Henry Cejudo. Finally, the guys wrap up the show with predictions for some of the fights from the main card of Saturday's electric card in New Jersey.

It's another UFC pay-per-view weekend and so you know what that means: the No Bets Barred boys are back to break down all their favorite plays for UFC 288 and the bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo. Co-hosts Conner Burks and Jed Meshew begin the show with a brief recap of UFC Vegas 72, lamenting a dreadful flyweight under loss, before diving into the 14-fight card that is UFC 288. The biggest topic of conversation is the title fight and Henry Cejudo's chances at overcoming a jarring statistical trend, but the boys also get into the five-round co-main event between Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns, the return of Kron Gracie, and of course, a heavyweight over and a flyweight under.
