Studies show that 70-85% of jobs (especially the good ones) are filled through internal candidates or employees' networks. That's a staggering amount! So to attract higher quality and more frequent job opportunities we need to be well connected and we need others to know what we do and what we care about. While there are many ways to build your network and develop your personal brand, I strongly believe that LinkedIn is one of the most effective ones. And for that reason, I invited Chris Villanueva, founder of a resume and LinkedIn profile writing company, to The Manager Track podcast and I'm excited to share this interview with you today.- RESOURCES MENTIONED -Let's Eat Grandma: www.letseatgrandma.comCareer Warrior Podcast: https://www.letseatgrandma.com/career-warrior-podcast-2Chris' LinkedIn Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-villanueva-cprwRamona's LinkedIn Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ramona-shaw
NOTES Sharing the management expenses between offices gives you a better financial advantage Doctor participation and ownership is the model; the owner makes the decisions for their office Recapitalization gives the opportunity, but it is not required, to restructure your value You can sell a portion of your equity off, during a recap, at a higher value than you bought in Private practice owners cannot achieve nearly as much success as they would within a co-op, but your risk is lowered Another big difference is that by having doctors as partners, there is practice growth and you don't run the risk of being kicked out by the corporate owner to increase your profitability MB2 has an average of $1.7M per year in collections per location, so they only accept partners that are successful in their own right to make themselves better together With MB2, your tax structure can improve, you can have growth in your practice, as well as the sidecar value, and gain better returns than most investments Generally, recapitalization happens every 3-6 years, the growth in the number of practices over initial predictions sets this expected date to be much sooner LINKS Website: https://mb2dental.com/

Perhaps one of the most commonly asked questions in regards to job applications and ATS software is whether or not to submit your resume as a PDF or Word Document. We don't blame you for your concern. That is why Chris Villanueva, CPRW at Let's Eat, Grandma resume services decided to break down the key differences in submitting your resume as a PDF or a Word Document.Word Doc vs. PDF (Spark Notes Version)Here is the Spark Notes version of the podcast episode:Word Documents are better for ATS Systems. ATS systems are better able to pick up on keywords if they are submitted as a Word Document.PDF documents are better for visual consistency. PDFs are image files (naturally) – and therefore cannot be easily altered.Recruiters tend to prefer Word Documents over other formats. Recruiters will generally prefer Word Documents, so don’t you dare send your RTF file! Many recruiters also prefer PDF documents.Don’t forget to follow instructions. Remember that if there are instructions to send in a specific format, follow those instructions. Being a rebel does not look good – nor does being ignorant.Don't forget to enter our 2019 sharing contest, where every month we select a winner to get resume help.
