Lukewarm Christianity has become so common that true biblical faith now seems radical. In this powerful conversation, Pastor Pete Bowell, Goose, and Sheepdog discuss the difference between simply believing and living a life fully fueled with extra oil — ready for the Bridegroom's arrival. We explore passing the baton of faith, overcoming spiritual laziness, and how showing up for others is the true mark of courage and discipleship. Hear inspiring stories of men who carry the fire of faith even through life's darkest seasons.

During today's conversation on Back Porch Theology – the first in a series of three – we're going to delve into some pretty spicy subject matter in the colorful Old Testament book of Zephaniah regarding the overt rebellion of God's people. We're going to examine how our spiritual ancestors effectively thumbed their noses at God's holiness, turned their backs on His kindness, and went out and did whatever nasty, selfish stuff their crooked little hearts desired. Plus, they did so despite His gracious warning that there would be serious consequences for their wicked behavior. My guess is things are about to get a little hot up in here so you might want to bring an iced latte to the porch today! Kerygma Sale! In this episode, Hugh talks about lukewarm and how we break free by loving the Gospel more frequently
Laodicea had it all—wealth, status, and success—but they were spiritually bankrupt. Jesus called them lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—complacent, self-sufficient, and blind to their need for God. They believed in a false gospel of prosperity that values health and wealth above all else. And Laodicea thought their riches made them secure. But Jesus wasn't impressed. He told them: You think you're rich, but you're poor. You think you see, but you're blind. You think you're clothed in luxury, but you're naked in my eyes. This is lukewarm Christianity exposed!
Today on Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we're discussing Kanye West's latest internet meltdown and what it reveals about the state of our unfortunate over-sexualized and depraved culture. From celebrity chaos to societal decay, it's clear—without God, the world spirals into total confusion and sin. We're breaking down the bigger picture and talking about why it's time to turn away from worldliness/wickedness and the dysfunction of degeneracy and back to the truth and love of Christ. Jesus is the only sane way forward, ladies and gentlemen.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-copy?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=tbs_thebiblestudy_searchads-nixwdmd&tw_source=google&tw_adid=608801073541&tw_campaign=17672311083&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC-_2dRN1WU6lhTaWFNApFgzBkVe_&gclid=CjwKCAiAwaG9BhAREiwAdhv6Y_Xc6w4LM7_4otTu1-XgzYjKKwhwbNBCdqLFVTDdXToND7Rt6JU2hBoC3hsQAvD_BwE
In Part 2 of our discussion on “Lukewarm Christianity,” Matt, Bobby, and the team unpack what it means to live a life truly connected to Christ. They explore the dangers of a works-based faith, the challenge of abiding in Jesus, and the hope found in God's unchanging love, even when we fall short.
Welcome to the kickoff of our podcast series on the seven churches of Revelation! In this episode, we dive into the church at Laodicea—you know, the one with the infamous “lukewarm” label. What does that actually mean, though? Is Jesus really saying lukewarm Christians make Him sick? (Spoiler: probably not how you've heard it preached.) Pastors Bobby, Matt, and the crew break it all down. Whether you're a Bible nerd or just curious, this one's worth a listen!
Kelly Lohrke shares his journey. It went from rebelling against God to a life of bold, radical obedience. As you hear about rejecting lukewarm Christianity, you will be stirred to embrace true discipleship. The Encounter Episode Ep.4
Join me in a vulnerable conversation with my sweet friend Cassia Vogel. We discuss what it means to have a lukewarm faith and what God says about living this way. If you're ready to start taking BOLD steps for Jesus, this episode is for you!
Jesus knocking at the door in Revelation is often interpreted as a call for unbelievers to let him into their lives, but in reality, he speaks to churchgoers in Laodicea. Despite their outward religious practices, Jesus sees that they have left him outside. The verse emphasizes the need for intentional pursuit of intimacy with God rather than just going through religious motions. Jesus' message challenges believers to listen and allow him into their hearts for true connection and relationship. Revelation 3:20, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” For more information, visit lakepointe.church/dailydrive

This teaching emphasizes preaching the gospel in the modern world. Believers must understand varying philosophical ideas and belief systems to do this effectively. Lukewarm Christianity cannot witness to unbelievers. You must know the God that you serve.
What does it mean to be spiritually lukewarm? Depending on the belief, some may perceive it as not doing enough in order to validate one's faith profession, such as not praying enough, fasting enough, or not doing enough in the way of signs and wonders. Others may perceive it as not participating in activities, such as watching movies or television shows. Some leaders may use the term "all in" to refer to being fully committed to God, and those who do not meet the criteria set by such leaders are viewed as being lukewarm. Join me as we look at this belief system, testing it against Scripture, and we consider a more balanced and Biblical view of what it means to be lukewarm. In this episode of Heaven & Healing Podcast, I welcome back my sister in Christ, Naela Rose (@undone_by_grace) for the SECOND time! You can find our fist interview that we recorded over a year ago archived on heavenandhealing.com! Watch or listen to that episode first to hear her full testimony and our conversation on the “God-shaped hole” in all of us, so that you have full context of this new episode. In this conversation, Naela gives an update on her testimony — how she went from the extreme of New Age, to the extreme of dead religion, to the extreme of hyper-charismatic deliverance-mania, to now, where the Lord has brought her to balanced narrow road. We discuss the similarities of our sanctification — traversing from the far lefts and far rights of Christianity — to arriving at biblical equilibrium, as we continue to mature on our walks with Jesus. In this conversation, we: 1) Share how deliverance truly WAS a necessity for us to receive Ex-New Agers, and how it is truly a biblical command of Jesus to cast out demons, while also giving caution to what we perceive as deliverance mania in the body that gets into a false doctrine of CONSTANTLY needing it 2) Talk about the “can a Christian have a demon” debate 3) Discuss how we see in the Bible that is contingent on our agreement and faith under God's sovereign decision to impart free will — from our ability to “have” a demon, to ability to walk in freedom of Christ's finished work on the cross 4) Focus on what we see as the most crucial part of our walk with the Lord: MIND RENEWAL… Truly studying and believing every word of the Bible and receiving Jesus' atonement on the cross 6) Explain why we need claim the identity Christ has given us as SAINTS, not sinners... We speak to the identity crisis in the body of Christ. and how identifying as a sinner gives us the excuse to continue sinning, when Scripture does in fact call us to holiness 7) Dismantle lukewarm Christianity, by asserting our responsibility to simply embody what the Word of God says This is a long, loaded episode for sure, and it's a lot to digest — but we pray this fellowship would be fruitful and edifying for our brothers and sisters. +NAELA'S INSTAGRAM: @undone_by_grace +NAELA'S FULL TESTIMONY +MY INSTAGRAM: @angelamarieucci Consider becoming a monthly partner to support the podcast... Soo a big part of my testimony is the fact that I was living in lukewarm Christianity, and the sad thing is I was not aware of that. I thought just going to church and posting bible verses will take me to the Kingdom of God and boy oh boy was I not so wrong about that. In this episode, we dive into what exactly is lukewarm Christianity, can you be a Christian and still live in the world? what makes you a lukewarm Christian and how do you combat the lukewarm plague? Let's talk about it!
In this episode, Meagan and Abby discuss ten characteristics of lukewarm Christianity and how to stay on guard against them.
Are you ALL in for the Kingdom of God? Do you know if you are a lukewarm Christian? I had no idea I was a lukewarm Christian until I was forced to get on my face because I was struggling. I needed Jesus. Most people love Jesus and believe in Jesus but aren't ALL in, surrendered for the Kingdom of God. They are essentially, lukewarm. This is a tragedy with our current world because it causes many to turn away from the faith and into new age activities because they have no clue it's not from God. This increases depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and doesn't heal your trauma. In this episode, you will hear about the truth about lukewarm Christianity and the impact this could be having on your mental health. “Because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” ~Revelation 3:16 “By their fruit you will recognize them”. ~Matt 7:16 Find more about Heidi: www.heidimortensonlmft.com Purchase the book The Brave Encourager: https://www.amazon.com/Brave-Encourager-Power-Encouragement-Changes/dp/B09TN45H36/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3HGP5FPY2E5GD&keywords=the+brave+encourager&qid=1646608516&sprefix=the+brave+encourager%2Caps%2C223&sr=8-1 Join my mailing list: https://landing.mailerlite.com/webforms/landing/t5u2y5 If you are in crisis, help is available by call or text 1-800-273-8255 24/7. Summary: This episode is all about Annabelle – and as you listen to her journey and the openness of her heart, you'll come to love her even more. Although she grew up in an active Christian home with a personal commitment to prayer and personal study, Annabelle never felt the click of intimacy with God. Fast forward to early college where a chance encounter in a friend's house triggered a series of moments that transformed her life. Spoiler alert: it wasn't chance – it was God.Now Annabelle is sharing the gospel with confidence and boldness. This is no longer her parents' religion nor a constant, lifelong struggle. The disturbing fact is that the Bible warns us that people who are not “hot” for God will eventually devote themselves to the teachings of Satan. Easily slipping into manipulated teachings: half-truths, pseudo prophecy, and religious spirits. Lukewarm Christians blend in with the rest of the world by the way they talk and behave. Sadly, God calls them His enemies. Let's turn back, repent, and rebuke all rebellion for the second coming of JESUS! Feeding off the harsh rebuke of Jesus towards the church at Laodicea (biblical terminology translates to “vomit”[Revelation 3:14-22]) Brother Jono and Joe discuss what the term "lukewarm christianity" means and how it has evolved with the culture. To remain vibrant and healthy, the church today must resist the temptation to follow societies temperament. The standard of Christ is high and the price can be lofty but there are no shortcuts to obedience. This episode marks the last of the study of the 7 churches in Asia Minor.
