This week Sam got to go to her first concert in over a year and had a super fun traumatizing experience while trying to leave Washington, DC. She and Stormy also talk about the possibility of forming a weather-themed band. I don't know, I think we'd have kind of a '70s glam rock vibe. Like Sonny and Cher. We're also picking our next movie to review along with discussing the second half of The Vampire Diaries. Elena becomes a raging b*tch to deal with the loss of her brother Jeremy, Bonnie also dies, and we finally get a backdoor pilot for the long-awaited spinoff "The Originals". F9 came out this weekend and we've got a full blown spoiler filled review where we discuss all the- nope. No that's not correct. We didn't see the movie. Like there was no way we were going to see it. But hey if you did is it any good? Should we see it? Are you even reading this? Cody farted once in front of me while at Collider. Now someone type that in the live chat to lemme know if you read this to ask me if that really happened or not.

I didn't see my COMFORT getting in the way of my CALLING! Our lives over the past 5 years have advanced heavily in the area of comfort and convenience! I can remember when my youngest was little I would have given ANYTHING for groceries to be delivered to my house. NOW I can't even tap into how desperate I felt needing a gallon of milk and not being able to place a SHIPT order. Comfort is such a priority that we are now ok as leggings/ yoga pants being considered an appropriate thing to wear on an every day basis in public (sorry yoga/legging wearers)! Comfort and convenience are a top level priority to so many of us...me included. BUT I am afraid that I have let comfort keep me from stepping out many times and doing what I know God has asked me to do! I actually chalk it up to comfort disguised as fear. There is a parable about talents in the Bible where a man was afraid to do something with what his master had given him so he went and buried it. He didn't have to step out, he didn't have to risk, he didn't have to do much of anything different, just bury it and wait for the master to return. If you know how the parable turned out he was actually cast away and his talents given to the man who did something with what he was given. I pulled a major thing from this story the other day (I talk in depth on my podcast episode #29 so go take a listen) and it was this...the master gave out talents according to the persons ability. We are not all called and given the same thing, the same level, or the same gifting. But we are responsible to do what is asked with what we have been given in order to see God's kingdom advanced. We have to stop looking and comparing what it is that we have been given and decide to serve the Lord with all of our hearts where we are with what we have been given or asked to do. God had been trying to get my attention. He had been trying so say...Hey Avery...stop being afraid...stop wanting the comfort of what you know...stop playing where your strengths are and take what I have put before you and go risk it all! Where have you been playing safe, comfortable, convenient?? It is calling over comfort every time!

This is a sort of apologetic episode, dealing with a common objection from non-Christians. Since John is considered to be the latest written gospel, and since his gospel is much more theological than Matthew, Mark and Luke, it is often argued that the early church, and the early gospels, didn't see Jesus as Divine, but this developed over time so that when John wrote decades later, it was the normal belief. Is this true? We consider some relevant points.
