TERROR ON THE BEACH! Seaside resorts from Cape May, New Jersey, to Montauk, Long Island, were paralyzed in fear during the summer of 1916.Not because of the threat of lurking German U-boats and saboteurs. But because of sharks. On July 1, 1916, Charles Epting Vansant was killed by a shark while swimming at a resort in Beach Haven, a popular destination on the Jersey Shore. At first, this terrible tragedy received only limited attention. After all, millions were flocking to the beaches along the Jersey Shore and throughout the New York region -- Coney Island, the Rockaways and Staten Island's South Beach.Shark attacks were the stuff of pirate legends and dramatic works of art. Most experts were skeptical that sharks were dangerous at all; the Maryland mogul Hermann Oelrichs offered $500 to any person with proof that sharks were dangerous to humans. Nobody claimed the reward. But during that July, sharks did threaten the lives of humans -- not only on sandy beaches, but even in tranquil watering holes, several miles inland. What was in the water in July of 1916?This show contains descriptions of violence related to shark attacks. You've been warned. This episode was edited and produced by Kieran Gannon.Visit the website for more episodes of the Bowery Boys Podcast.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (03/10/2025): 3:05pm- Musk Derangement Syndrome: Social media users are now calling on Tesla owners to sell their vehicles in response to CEO Elon Musk's work with the Trump Administration's Department of Government Efficiency. In one viral clip, TikTok influencer Damien Slash vowed to send Tesla's stock to “zero” and questioned whether the electric vehicle company will even still exist one year from now. 3:10pm- Utah is set to become the first state to ban the use of fluoride in public water systems—Governor Spencer Cox confirmed he plans to sign a bill that will put the policy into effect in early May. 3:15pm- On Monday, the social media platform X was hit with a “massive cyberattack,” according to owner Elon Musk. Could Russia be responsible? Musk notably provided the Ukrainian military with access to his satellite constellation Starlink—allowing Ukrainians to communicate with one another efficiently on the battlefield while repelling Russian aggression. 3:30pm- In a post to social media, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard wrote: “Per POTUS's directive, I have revoked security clearances and barred access to classified information for Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, and Andrew Weissman, along with the 51 signers of the Hunter Biden ‘disinformation' letter. The President's Daily Brief is no longer being provided to former President Biden.” 3:35pm- Why does Rich have chopsticks? 3:40pm- According to research from the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project, former President Joe Biden signed dozens of executive orders with an “autopen”—raising questions about the legitimacy of those actions. Did Biden know what he was signing? Earlier this year, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) revealed that during a closed-door meeting Biden had no recollection of signing an executive order that effectively froze new liquid natural gas export permits. 4:05pm- Bill D'Agostino—Senior Research Analyst at Media Research Center—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to break down some of the best (and worst) clips from the Sunday shows. In an interview with Politico, Governor Tim Walz critiqued the campaign strategy of the Harris-Walz presidential campaign—suggesting they should have done more interviews instead of playing it safe. But, as D'Agostino notes, even friendly interviews were often disastrous for Kamala Harris. PLUS, host of The View Whoopi Goldberg says that if you oppose biological males participating in women's sports, you must think women are weak. 4:30pm- California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is now suddenly claiming it is “deeply unfair” for biological males to participate in women's sports—pivoting away from the Democrat Party's stance. Interestingly, Newsom also invited conservative Charlie Kirk on his podcast recently. Is Newsom becoming a moderate, leaving his far-left preferences behind? Rich thinks this is nothing more than a political strategy to cement Newsom's status as a 2028 presidential front runner. 5:05pm- Dr. Wilfred Reilly—Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University & Author of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss reports that the Trump Administration may disband the Department of Education. February 18, 2025 , Court Leader's Advantage Podcast EpisodeUnderstanding trauma-informed engagement is increasingly essential for court employees and judges. Many—if not most—individuals who interact with the court system have experienced significant trauma. Whether they are litigants, witnesses, or defendants, they often carry the invisible weight of past or ongoing adversity.A trauma-informed approach helps court professionals recognize signs of trauma and respond in ways that foster trust, reduce stress, and minimize the risk of re-traumatization. Additionally, this approach supports the well-being of court employees by equipping them with strategies to navigate difficult interactions while mitigating the impact of secondary traumatic stress on themselves. This month, we are exploring the role of trauma-informed engagement in court interactions. How can courts further integrate this critical practice to enhance fairness, empathy, and effectiveness in the justice system?Today's Panel: Carrie Summer-Namura, Program Coordinator for the Clackamas County Circuit Court, in Oregon City, OregonJill Houck, Trial Court Administration for the Superior Court in Cape May and Atlantic Counties New JerseyTrent Baker, Program Coordinator for Early Childhood Court, Dependency Drug Court & Juvenile Drug Court, 17th Judicial District, Fort Lauderdale, FloridaLeave a question or comment about the episode at clapodcast@nacmnet.org

Hunt accused Leavitt of attacking her CNN colleagues Jake Tapper and Dana Bash by suggesting the two moderators of Thursday's debate have regularly expressed disdain for Donald Trump and support for Joe Biden. A montage pieced together by Newsbusters proves Leavitt's point—Tapper and Bash are not objective. One clip even shows Tapper referring to Trump's presidency as a “national nightmare.” 3:15pm- While visiting Philadelphia on Saturday, former President Donald Trump visited Tony & Nick's Steaks where he left a $500 tip for workers at the sandwich shop! Trump is actively campaigning on ending government taxation on earned tips. 3:30pm- In his latest article, New York Times journalist Michael M. He explains: “President Trump is going before moderators that don't like him—before networks that hate him.” 6:15pm- During a recent segment on MSNBC, hosts Symone Sanders and Michael Steele seemingly defended the Biden Administration's relaxed border policies and admonished Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts for using the term “illegal alien” and were dismissive of crimes committed by those who have entered the country unlawfully. 6:20pm- While speaking from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, Donald Trump hilariously said of Thursday's CNN presidential debate: “[Joe Biden is] sleeping now because they want to get him good and strong. So, a little before debate time he gets a shot in the ass. They want to strengthen him up…he'll come out all jacked up, right? All jacked up!” 6:40pm- Earlier today, Rich appeared on Fox News' American Newsroom with host Mike Emanuel. Are Democrats lowering expectations for President Joe Biden ahead of Thursday's debate? Watch the full segment here: https://www.foxnews.com/video/6355617656112 6:50pm- Emma Colton of Fox News writes: “The Trump campaign says a recent fact-check report debunking the claim that then-President Trump spoke favorably of neo-Nazis in 2017 shows President Biden and his campaign had promoted a ‘lie' and called on them to not promote the ‘hoax' again. Left-leaning fact-checking website Snopes published a piece Saturday debunking claims promoted by President Biden and some members of the media that following the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, Trump called neo-Nazis ‘very fine people.' Biden has repeatedly cited the false claim, even saying it was the impetus for his 2020 White House run against Trump.” You can read the full article here: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/snopes-debunking-charlottesville-hoax-shows-biden-lied-says-trump-campaign
