Did you know Jesus was not just human? Jesus was fully God and fully human at the same time. In theology this is called the hypostatic union. All Christians should know how to articulate the divinity of Jesus Christ. This episode will help you to share this doctrine from a Bible based perspective. The human heart aches for deliverance. In our everyday struggles, we all long for rescue—for ourselves and for our world. But what if our search for deliverance leads us to a distorted view of Jesus? In this episode, we explore John 6 and the challenge of rightly knowing Jesus. Many saw Him as a great prophet, a political revolutionary, or a means to an end—but missed the fullness of who He is. Through this powerful sign, John reveals that Jesus is more than a prophet, more than a king—He is the divine "I AM," the only one who truly brings life and deliverance.Join us as we examine how we can sometimes misinterpret Jesus, and how John's gospel helps us see Him rightly—so that we might experience His life-saving power today.
What the apostle John says at the beginning of his Gospel is that Christ was not an ordinary man. He was the “Word” of God and was with God before the creation of the world. The “Word”, Christ, existed in the beginning. Before the world was formed, Christ existed. The very first verse in the Bible says: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). But Christ was with God before this beginning. God has no beginning; He has always existed. And God has always had His “Word” with Him. God was never without the “Word.” The “Word” was with God. This means that in some way there is a difference between God and the Word; they are distinct from each other just as a father is distinct from his son. But John then says that the Word was God. Christ was not only with God but was God. Christ is not only the Son of God, but God Himself. Christ is God in human form. He is the only true incarnation of the living God who came to earth 2,000 years ago. Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever has seen me has seen God.”
Father shows us in scripture Jesus can both be God and Man

Are Family and Faith Staging a Comeback? “Too often today, church hunting simply becomes a search for ‘our people'—that is, those who live comparable lifestyles, have similar opinions, and vote the way we do. And if that's our approach, we're missing out.” A lesser-known C.S. Lewis book provides “precisely the warning our political culture needs as we plod through another contentious election.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Apostles' Creed mentions the divinity of Jesus in these words: “I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.” Christians have always intended words like “Christ,” “Son of God,” and “Lord” to indicate Jesus' divinity.

You've heard of the 7 “I AM” statements in the Gospel of John. How do they show Jesus is God?
Didn't Jesus say that the Father is greater than he is? Didn't he call the Father his God? Isn't he called the "firstborn" of God's creation? One of the core teachings of Christianity is the claim that Jesus is God. Yet, some verses seem to contradict this very claim. Andy, Steve, and Wes continue their discussion on the deity of Jesus this week by addressing some verses commonly brought up by those who reject this essential teaching of Christianity.
One thing that sets Christianity apart is our view of Jesus as God. This core teaching is connected to other core teachings of the Church such as the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. So, it's no surprise that those who reject Christian orthodoxy often come at it by denying the deity of Jesus. How would you back up the claim that Jesus is God? If you're not sure, you've come to the right place. Andy, Steve, and Wes sat down to address this important topic in this week's episode of the AC Podcast.

Philippians 2:1-11 English Standard VersionChrist's Example of Humility2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.English Standard Version (ESV)The Holy Bible, English Standard Version.
