The Washington Commanders smoked the Arizona Cardinals 42-14 this past Sunday. KDot dives into the All-22 footage to review the offense and the defense this past week. Beginning with the offense, the run game was on fire! Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 101 yards and a TD on 21 carries, Jeremy McNichols had 68 yards and 2 TDs on just 8 carries, and Jayden Daniels had 47 yards and a TD on 8 carries of his own. Tyler Biadasz is highlighted for his excellent play at center, along with the rest of the offensive line for their blocking and pulling, which is also a testament to our offensive line coach Bobby Johnson and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Looking at the pass game, Jayden Daniels is becoming decisive with the ball. There are still a couple moments where he doesn't fully trust the NFL open throw, but he's developed tremendously since week 1 vs Tampa Bay. The defense was communicating and the corners did a better job with leverage! The defensive line, led by Dorance Armstrong, Daron Payne and Jonathan Allen, had themselves a day, pressuring Kyler Murray a bunch and limiting him to just 3 yards. Frankie Luvu and Bobby Wagner are also highlighted for being fantastic on defense, and Emmanuel Forbes and Jeremy Chinn receive shout outs for their efforts in run defense. Davante Adams has requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. Should the Commanders trade for him? Will the Commanders trade for him? The Comment Mailbag features 15 comments! The Washington Commanders have back-to-back road wins, this time beating the Arizona Cardinals 42-14. The win pushes the Commanders to 3-1 and in sole possession of 1st place in the NFC East. Jayden Daniels was efficient once again, going 26 of 30 for 233 yards, a TD and an INT, also adding 47 rushing yards and a TD. Kliff Kingsbury called a masterful game on offense, which also saw the running backs do serious damage to the Cardinals. Brian Robinson Jr ran for 101 yards and a TD, while Jeremy McNichols ran for 68 yards and 2 TDs. The Commanders now have the most electric offense in the NFL. It wasn't just the offense that did well. The Commanders defense stepped up in a big way. Kyler Murray was held to 142 passing yards and just 3 rushing yards. Marvin Harrison Jr. caught a TD, but was held to just 45 receiving yards. Dorance Armstrong had 1.5 sacks, Jonathan Allen had a sack, Bobby Wagner led the team in tackles, and Frankie Luvu forced a fumble and recovered it. The Comment Mailbag had 15 comments. Craig welcomes Michael Phillips of 910 The Fan to break down the Commanders' dominant 42-14 win over the Arizona Cardinals, bringing Washington to 3-1 for the first time since 2011. They discuss the offensive explosion, with Washington scoring 38+ points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1991 and 30+ points in consecutive games for the first time since 2017. Jayden Daniels' stellar performance is a major focus, as is Kliff Kingsbury's impressive play-calling, with Phillips and Craig debating whether this offensive output is sustainable throughout the season. On defense, Phillips awards the game ball to Dorance Armstrong and highlights Jon Allen's return to form.
In this episode of Keeping Up with the Commanders I recap Washington's dominant 42-14 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Jayden Daniels had another historic performance with Kliff Kingsbury calling plays back where he used to coach. Defensively, the pass rush led by Dorance Armstrong and Frankie Luvu delivered and halted Kyler Murray in his tracks. In the NFC East Free Agency Roundup, the New York Giants emerged as one of the most active teams, orchestrating a trade for dynamic pass rusher Brian Burns from the Panthers. Burns, known for his disruptive abilities on the edge, was signed to a lucrative five-year, $150 million deal, solidifying the Giants' defense for years to come. Additionally, the Giants fortified their offensive line with the addition of guard Jon Runyan, providing valuable protection for their quarterbacks. In a strategic move, they secured quarterback Drew Lock to add depth to their roster, demonstrating their commitment to addressing key positions in free agency. However, the Giants faced significant losses with star running back Saquon Barkley departing for the Eagles and safety Xavier McKinney joining the Packers, leaving voids in both their offense and defense.Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys made notable moves in free agency, bolstering their roster with key signings and re-signings. They strengthened their special teams unit by acquiring long snapper Trent Sieg from the Raiders, adding stability to their kicking game. Additionally, the Cowboys addressed their defensive needs by signing linebacker Eric Kendricks, a seasoned veteran known for his playmaking ability. Despite these additions, the Cowboys faced departures, including running back Tony Pollard, who joined the Titans, and defensive end Dorance Armstrong, who departed for the Commanders. The retirement of linebacker Leighton Vander Esch further impacted their defense, leaving a void in leadership and experience. In Philadelphia, the Eagles made waves by acquiring several impactful players in free agency, signaling their intent to compete in the upcoming season. The addition of running back Saquon Barkley from the Giants on a three-year, $37.75 million deal added a dynamic playmaker to their backfield. Furthermore, the Eagles bolstered their defense with the signings of EDGE Bryce Huff from the Jets and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson from the Lions, addressing key areas of need. Despite these successes, the Eagles faced retirements from veteran players, including center Jason Kelce and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, signaling a transition period for the team.Lastly, the Washington Commanders made significant strides in free agency, aggressively pursuing top talent to improve their roster. Acquiring players like linebacker Bobby Wagner from the Seahawks and running back Austin Ekeler from the Chargers demonstrated their commitment to building a competitive team. Additionally, they made strategic moves to address their offensive line by signing center Tyler Biadasz from the Cowboys and guard Nick Allegretti from the Chiefs. However, the Commanders also faced departures, including wide receiver Curtis Samuel and cornerback Kendall Fuller, who left for new opportunities elsewhere in the league. Overall, each team in the NFC East made calculated moves to strengthen their rosters, setting the stage for a highly competitive season ahead.#nygiants #nfceast #nflSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. The Tennessee Titans have plenty of holes to fill in the front seven of their defense and that includes two open linebacker spots. Names like Devin White and Isaiah Simmons should be targets. Also, the Titans could use a big body on the edge to mix with Harold Landry and Arden Key. Players like A.J. Epenesa and Dorance Armstrong could fit the bill.
