In the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs, the Buffalo Bills are heading to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of the 2020 AFC Championship game. On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico have everything you need to know as the Bills look to continue their 2021 revenge tour and earn their second win over the Chiefs this season. Among the topics discussed: We start off be reliving the gory that was Buffalo's 47-17 dismantling of the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round. Quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills offense was perfect in knocking off New England, and it was thoroughly enjoyable to see Bill Belichick miserable while watching the Bills pound his Patriots. Turning our attention to Sunday night's playoff game, this matchup, a rematch of last year's AFC title game, seemed destined to happen. The Bills should feel confident with their offense clicking on all cylinders and the defense making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks. But this will be the stiffest test Buffalo's D has faced since Tre'Davious White was lost for the year. Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and co. represent a formidable challenge to Leslie Frazier's defense. These teams met up on Sunday Night Football in Week 5, with Buffalo prevailing 38-20. Kansas City's defense has improved dramatically since then, and pass rushers Chris Jones, Melvin Ingram, and Frank Clark will challenge Buffalo's resurgent offensive line. Buffalo's running game has found its groove, led by Devin Singletary. An x-factor for the Bills: how well the team has run the ball when fullback Reggie Gilliam is on the field. Buffalo has changed up its run scheme from zone blocking to a pin and pull system, relying on the athleticism of the offensive line, and that is one of the key reasons why the Bills offense has become more balanced. Unlike last year, when the moment seemed too big for him, Josh Allen needs to stay in control of himself and his emotions and not force throws when nothing is there. How will Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis, Emmanuel Sanders and Buffalo's wideouts handle the sticky press coverage of Kansas City's corners? Jamie and I argue over whether Buffalo's defensive line has improved since these two teams met. In that meeting, Buffalo got after Mahomes without bringing a single blitz. We close by giving our score predictions as Buffalo seeks its second straight appearance in the AFC title game. Since the Buffalo Bills came into existence, they have played 34 postseason contests, but only twice have the Bills taken on the New England Patriots in the playoffs: during the 1963 season, and on Saturday night, when Buffalo (11-6) hosts New England (10-7) on Wild Card weekend. Much like the first meeting between these AFC East foes 58 years ago, inclement weather is expected to play a huge role in Saturday night's 8:15 p.m. showdown, which could be among the coldest games ever played in Buffalo's history. On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico have everything you need to know as the Bills look to win this rubber match with New England and send Bill Belichick and the Patriots packing for the offseason. Among the topics discussed: Of course Buffalo would be once again hosting New England in a game that features inclement weather. The temperature is expected to hover around 0 degrees Fahrenheit, with winds between 10- and 15 miles-per-hour and the possibility of snow. How will the weather affect the game? Sean McDermott gets another chance to show he can out-coach Bill Belichick. Can McDermott make the in-game adjustments to whatever Belichick throws his way? New England QB Mac Jones has come back to earth and hit the rookie wall over the last four weeks following a solid start to his career. What can the Bills do to confuse Jones and force him into turnovers? The Bills' resurgent pass rush led the NFL in sacks over the last month of the season, and will need to harass and apply pressure on Jones. The Patriots ran the ball down Buffalo's throat the first meeting, and had success running the football even when Buffalo was determined to stop the run. What adjustments can the Bills make to contain the Patriots' ground game? Since Tre'Davious White went down for the year, Levi Wallace, Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson and the rest of the Bills secondary have risen to the challenge. The same must be true Saturday night whenever Jones looks to throw the ball to WRs Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, and Nelson Agholor. Getting excellent pass coverage from LBs Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano is key, too, as Buffalo needs to neutralize the Patriots' two-headed TE monster of Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith. Josh Allen's stats have not been great in cold-weather games, but what is the reason for his dip in performance? What does Allen need to do Saturday night to finish drives with touchdowns and not just settle for field goals? The Patriots employ more zone looks traditionally on defense, but they relied on man-to-man matchups in the Week 16 loss, and Allen and the Bills made New England pay in the passing game. What adjustments will Belichick make on defense, and what kind of offensive game plan will Brian Daboll dial up? The Patriots could be banged up in their defensive backs. Can Allen take advantage of a depleted secondary? There is a golden opportunity for WRs Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, and Isaiah McKenzie. Devin Singletary and the ground game will need to get going to provide the Bills with more balance and make the play action pass more effective. We close by giving our score predictions as Buffalo looks to win a third straight home playoff game and end New England's season in the process. Billieve: a Buffalo Rumblings Podcast

The Buffalo Bills (10-6) need a win on Sunday or a loss by the New England Patriots (10-6) to clinch consecutive AFC East divisional titles for the first time since claiming four straight from 1988-1991. In their way? An old divisional rival, the New York Jets (4-12), who are playing for pride in bringing another last-place season to an end. On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico have everything you need to know as the Bills look to close out the regular season with a fourth straight win and earn their second consecutive AFC East crown. Among the topics discussed: Sean McDermott has the Bills in the playoffs for third straight season and fourth time in the last five years. During last week's playoff-clinching win over the Atlanta Falcons, it was impressive to see McDermott and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll adjust their game plan and focus on running the ball on a day when Josh Allen was not at his best. Facing the Jets, expect Allen's passing woes from Week 17 to be an aberration as Allen should be able to carve up the Jets secondary. How McDermott and the Bills will use this regular-season finale as a tune-up to prepare for a (hopefully) deep playoff run. Major kudos are due to running back Devin Singletary, who scampered for a career-best 110 rushing yards with two touchdowns in the win over Atlanta. The development of Buffalo's ground game over the last month (averaging 160 yards per game) will serve the team well in the playoffs. Look for Singletary, Allen and Zack Moss to have more success running the ball against the Jets, who rank 29th in the NFL in run defense. In Dion Dawkins, Ryan Bates, Mitch Morse, Daryl Williams, and Spencer Brown, the Bills appear to have found their ideal offensive line combination heading into the postseason. The Bills' top-ranked defense will continue to confound rookie QBs when Zach Wilson makes his first start vs. Buffalo. The Jets are a banged-up bunch, missing many key players on both sides of the ball, but they continue to fight hard in every game Buffalo's pass rush should be able to get after Wilson, and Buffalo's opportunistic defense should force a few turnovers and end Wilson's streak of 135 pass attempts without an interception. We close by giving our score predictions as Buffalo looks to wrap up a division title at home for the first time since the 1995 season.

The Buffalo Bills (9-6) seized control of the AFC East with a dominant 33-21 win over the New England Patriots in Week 16. If the Bills are to win their second consecutive divisional title, they need to win their final two games, a mission that begins with Sunday's 1 p.m. EST home game vs. the Atlanta Falcons (7-8) at Highmark Stadium in Week 17. On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico have everything you need to know as the Bills look to earn their third straight win and continue their march to another AFC East crown. Among the topics discussed: How great did it feel to see Josh Allen, Isaiah McKenzie, Micah Hyde, Stefon Diggs and the entire offensive line play well in Buffalo's Week 16 win over the New England Patriots? Will there be any kind of letdown following the emotional 33-21 road win over their AFC East rivals? The Falcons come to town holding on (barely) to faint playoff hopes in the NFC, but the Falcons are not a good team. They are fortunate to be 7-2 in one-score games while both turning the ball over a lot and generating plenty of turnovers. If the Bills avoid costly turnovers, they should be able to roll before a raucous home crowd. Atlanta's primary offensive playmakers are rookie tight end Kyle Pitts, who is closing in on a 1,000-yard season, veteran QB Matt Ryan, and dynamic running back Cordarelle Patterson, who is a dual-threat as a runner and as a receiver. How can the Bills, who generally excel at limiting opposing tight ends, contain Pitts? What does Buffalo need to do to take away Patterson, who has already set single-season career highs for rushing yards (579), rushing touchdowns (six), receiving yards (523) and receiving touchdowns (five).  Even if DT Ed Oliver misses the game, Buffalo's defensive line should be able to generate ample pressure on Matt Ryan. What kind of role should we expect to see from McKenzie and fellow wideout Cole Beasley? Josh Allen should be in line for another huge day against a banged up and suspect Falcons secondary. Why getting Devin Singletary and the running game going is so important? Ryan Bates and Dion Dawkins led a revitalized offensive line in New England. Hear why we think Bates should remain in the starting lineup, and why, despite having to face Dante Fowler and Grady Jarrett, Buffalo's o-line should be able to build on last week's performance. We close by giving our score predictions as Buffalo welcomes Atlanta to Orchard Park for the first time since the 2005 season.
