Kit Walker Cohost of the Jem Jam and I Will Fight You podcasts and author of the Endings series Kit Walker is here to talk about Bionicle, Star Trek, growing up on a Hellmouth, and then someone mentions Transformers and the whole thing goes in the ditch. Signature Mocktail: Helryx Cooler Despite being a Toa of water, Helryx is fierce and quick to anger, with a surprisingly fiery temper. • 4 cups seedless watermelon • 1 cup coconut water • 1 1/3 cups of jalepeno simple syrup* • Mint • Lime Combine watermelon, coconut water and simple syrup in a blender and pulse until smooth. Taste and add more or less syrup to taste. Pour into a glass with ice, garnishing with a mint sprig and a twist of lime. *combine 2 cups of sugar with 2 cups of water, and drop in two jalepenos, sliced lengthwise. Bring to a boil on the stove, and let boil for 1 minute before straining into a container. Will keep in the fridge for up to a month. I used dark brown sugar and green jalepenos, but feel free to try superfine sugar for a cleaner taste or red chillies for more fire.
