This week on the show, I have Carrie Ibbetson joining me. Carrie Ibbetson believes healing of the mouth comes from multiple aspects, with one of the biggest challenges being the time it takes people to learn why things are breaking down and motivating themselves to make changes in their habits or products. Her 25+ year career in dentistry allows her to understand oral health challenges and see solutions from multiple facets. Recognizing this challenge early in her dental hygiene career she started coaching her patients into healthier mouths with great success. In 2010 she took that knowledge and insight online where she has been successfully motivating people globally to make a change and see results with her online course and membership community. Her community of over 30k help her gain insight and see the many challenges the consumer is facing daily. Her passion drives a high success rate that helps both professionals and consumers see what is possible when people become empowered and motivated about their own oral health journey! In this episode,  Carrie shares: Why she got into dentistry, and where her passion came from. How to know if we are practising our oral hygiene the right way. Healthy dental hacks to implement throughout the day. mouth breathing versus nose breathing and the potential consequences that can arise when mouth breathing. At what age to take the kids to the dentist. How to find a good dentist and the right questions to ask them. Paramount, 1935: we have two very unusual and very different movies, which nevertheless share the theme of private worlds and the possibility of communication between them. First up is Gregory La Cava's Private Worlds, about the inner lives of psychiatrists and the permeable boundary between sanity and insanity. It stars Claudette Colbert as Dr. Jane Everest and Charles Boyer as her chauvinistic boss and secret crush. Next, Henry Hathaway's fantasy melodrama Peter Ibbetson, which treats love as a shared mental world in ways that anticipate Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, while the camera falls in love with Gary Cooper's sweaty, suffering face.  Time Codes: 0h 0m 00s:                              PRIVATE WORLDS (dir. Today I start a new radio show, Healthy Mouth, Healthy Life Radio! I’ve been told for years, “the way you put passion to oral health, you should write a book”…..no I really shouldn’t, my writing style is far too long winded, and I hate when my editor (and bff) chops my beautifully passionate 700 word blog post into 300 words..dammit, I have stuff to say! But the truth of the matter is, many of those words fall on deaf ears; not because what I say is not interesting, we are just simply fed too much information to read and read and read.

Radio host & author Paul A. Ibbetson's "Oliver's Tale" is a delightful tale using social, political, & religious messages. Oliver experiences a spiritual growth in his relationship with God as he becomes privy to the secret plan of the Gray Skunk, a mesmerizing and dangerous foe. Following God's instructions, Oliver has an adventure in both the forest and city to save not only himself, but all that he holds dear. Oliver's Tale is the story of how one very average squirrel became a servant of God and led a revolution to save the animals of Three Fingers Cove. This book has several twists, including the "special power" of the book's adversary, the Gray Skunk, as well as his ability to control the most dangerous animals of the forest. Readers will be uplifted by this book as they will identify with Oliver's challenges, struggles, and victories as they mirror the daily challenges of life despite taking place in a fantasy world. Because Oliver is a cute little squirrel and such a likable character, his feats of courage throughout the story become even more amazing. Paul A. Ibbetson is a former Chief of Police of Cherryvale, Kansas, and member of the Montgomery County Drug Task Force. Paul received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Criminal Justice at Wichita State University, and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Sociology at Kansas State University. Paul is the author of the books "Living Under The Patriot Act: Educating A Society" and "Feeding Lions: Sharing The Conservative Philosophy In A Politically Hostile World." Paul is also the radio host of the Kansas Broadcasting Association's 2008, 2009 and 2010 Entertainment Program of the Year, Conscience of Kansas airing on KSDB Manhattan 91.9 FM.
