Paramount, 1935: we have two very unusual and very different movies, which nevertheless share the theme of private worlds and the possibility of communication between them. First up is Gregory La Cava's Private Worlds, about the inner lives of psychiatrists and the permeable boundary between sanity and insanity. It stars Claudette Colbert as Dr. Jane Everest and Charles Boyer as her chauvinistic boss and secret crush. Next, Henry Hathaway's fantasy melodrama Peter Ibbetson, which treats love as a shared mental world in ways that anticipate Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, while the camera falls in love with Gary Cooper's sweaty, suffering face. Hey everyone! Films eh? Films are great! Fab! Spread the love! Hit the bell for the notification squad! Subscribe and rate! Yadda bloody yadda. All that waffle. All that filler. Life is filler. Films are filler. Let's chat filler. Frank Soldato, Adam Grundy, and Blair Treacy talk about the films they saw last week (Crazy Rich Asians, The Predator, Ocean's 8) as well as some recent news on Disney slowing down Star Wars releases, Bond 25's new director, & a terrible Child's Play remake that no one wants. You might have a glimmer of though that you want it, but you don't. And then there's Hot Takes. It's a spicy one. Adam and Frank have mini breakdowns. Blair rises above that. For now. Luke Ibbetson meanwhile was on the Hoxton Movies show discussing his love for Road House. Have a listen to his bit. He's a good lad.

Dr. B was interviewed on the Healthy Mouth, Healthy life Podcast by Ms. Carrie Ibbetson who is an oral health coach and patient advocate. Carrie is a hygienist who has been in dentistry for over 20 years and has a podcast for the general public about oral health care. She also helps people with oral conditions that are complicated from the point of view of the public. In short, she helps people make choices with their oral health decisions. She uses patient language to explain the conditions in patients' mouths and in even simpler terms becomes a non-biased bridge between dentists and patients. Carrie wanted to talk with Dr. B regarding the language of occlusal splints (better known as Occlusal guards or bite Guards). Dr. B makes quite a few occlusal Splints and charges over $1000 for each. But can only do so because of the specific language he uses with patients.

Today I start a new radio show, Healthy Mouth, Healthy Life Radio! I’ve been told for years, “the way you put passion to oral health, you should write a book”…..no I really shouldn’t, my writing style is far too long winded, and I hate when my editor (and bff) chops my beautifully passionate 700 word blog post into 300 words..dammit, I have stuff to say! But the truth of the matter is, many of those words fall on deaf ears; not because what I say is not interesting, we are just simply fed too much information to read and read and read.
This talk will point to ways in which the Near East legal systems perhaps mark an important step forward in the development of law in the world before the rise of Greece and Rome.
Radio host & author Paul A. Ibbetson's "Oliver's Tale" is a delightful tale using social, political, & religious messages. Oliver experiences a spiritual growth in his relationship with God as he becomes privy to the secret plan of the Gray Skunk, a mesmerizing and dangerous foe. Following God's instructions, Oliver has an adventure in both the forest and city to save not only himself, but all that he holds dear. Oliver's Tale is the story of how one very average squirrel became a servant of God and led a revolution to save the animals of Three Fingers Cove. This book has several twists, including the "special power" of the book's adversary, the Gray Skunk, as well as his ability to control the most dangerous animals of the forest. Readers will be uplifted by this book as they will identify with Oliver's challenges, struggles, and victories as they mirror the daily challenges of life despite taking place in a fantasy world. Because Oliver is a cute little squirrel and such a likable character, his feats of courage throughout the story become even more amazing. Paul A. Ibbetson is a former Chief of Police of Cherryvale, Kansas, and member of the Montgomery County Drug Task Force. Paul received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Criminal Justice at Wichita State University, and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Sociology at Kansas State University. Paul is the author of the books "Living Under The Patriot Act: Educating A Society" and "Feeding Lions: Sharing The Conservative Philosophy In A Politically Hostile World." Paul is also the radio host of the Kansas Broadcasting Association's 2008, 2009 and 2010 Entertainment Program of the Year, Conscience of Kansas airing on KSDB Manhattan 91.9 FM.
