In the newest section of Craig's attempt at 100 new games in 365 days, he delves back into games that he played nearly 5 months ago.. You know, like responsible podcasts do. Five new games, more winners than losers, all in all a decent batch. First up, it the Rochester draft train game, First Class, and auction/negotiation/set collection game Coloseum. The we have a point salad sandwich in a card game bun as Craig talks Camel Up Cards, Gold West from J. Alex Kevern, and finally Kingsport Festival the Card Game to wrap things up in a Cthulhu bun. Thans for tolerating the filler as we gear up for episode 77 soon! Show Times: Intro: 0:13 First Class (Z-Man): 3:05 Colosseum (TMG): 9:40 Camel Up Cards (Z-Man): 14:18 Gold West (TMG): 17:45 Kingsport Festival Card Game (Passport): 22:26 Wrap-Up: 25:49 Punchboard Media Stinger: 27:29

Patchwork, Splendor, The Game y Kingsport Festival serán los juegos de hoy. Música: Ninja among oscillators.
In our twenty-seventh episode, we are joined by a very special co-host, Patrick Nickell of Crash Games. We talk about the games we have been playing lately along with other random ramblings. We also review the H.P. Lovecraft-themed dice worker placement game Kingsport Festival, and we present the first session in our new Boards Alive Plays segment, where we play through a session of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. This episode is sponsored by Cauldron by Altema Games.
Kingsport Festival is steeped in art and lore from the Cthulhu Mythos. In the game you summon one or more of the Outer Gods or their minions in order to increase in Evil, Death or Destruction. The game is similar to Kingsburg but offers unique play. The game is for 2-5 players in about 60-75 minutes. Ages 13 and up.

In this show, Eric and Tom take a look back at the GenCon 2014 fair held in Indianapolis. But we also spend a lot of time talking about games - including Black Fleet, Camel Up, Diamonds, Quilt Show, Castls of the Mad King Ludwig, King of New York, Kingsport: Festival, and Tragedy Looper. On this very special episode of The State of Games, Chris, TC and Stephanie talk about their experiences at the biggest gaming convention in North America - GenCon 2014 - while Darrell listens intently since he went to the beach, instead. Chris talks about buying all the things, TC earns his hipster cred by only buying two Carl Chudyk titles, and Stephanie talks up the coolness of Sheriff of Nottingham and the disappointment of Night of the Grand Octopus. All this, plus Ellen Barkin, current Kickstarters, Panamax, Diamonds, Camel Up, Kingsport Festival, Richard Launius and Run, Fight, or Die, and HABA's Rhino Hero. It's a big show about the big show - don't miss it!
