Linda Murray Bullard is on a life and death mission. As a business woman & miracle COVID survivor she wants us to know: COVID and vaccine hesitancy can destroy everything you've worked for in your business - as well as your life and that of your family. #getvaccinated #surviveLinda is an unlikely survivor of COVID - she is the 1st person the hospital had treated in her demographic to have not died. She is a miracle outlier in a tragic story unfolding among the +black communities of Tennessee.  Linda wants that tragedy to stop. Her message: 80% of the white community is vaccinated/14% of the black community has had the shot. In the month she was fighting for her life, Sept-Oct 2021, 87% of COVID cases were unvaccinated people and 85% of COVID deaths in Tennessee were those unvaccinated patients.  Of the 3400 people hospitalized, 1790 - more than half - died.  Tennessee stopped publishing the race breakdown of COVID numbers many months ago but from these numbers, statistically speaking, we know the vast majority were people of colorLinda survived but lost so much.  She has a year of recovery ahead of herShe is reliant on an oxygen feed She is facing a bill of over $250,000 for the cost of her treatment Her business only survived because of the extensive automation she had in placeShe is continuing her work with small businesses to find funding and be more profitable thru automationButHer heart-felt mission is to break through the hesitancy, teach people how to feel assured in the safety of the vaccine they receive and to get people vaccinatedFind Linda at:https://GetTheBusiness.org https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindamurraybullardspeaks/ https://www.facebook.com/LSMBBusinessSolutions/ https://www.instagram.com/lsmbbusinesssolutions/ http://MustPlugIn.com

In this episode of Enlightened Entrepreneur, Linda shares important rules every start-up business owner must follow in order to avoid premature failure and set up for success. She also reveals important insights and experiences regarding how to effectively transition from being an employee to being an employer, owning a business and building your own team.   Key Questions Asked: How did Linda’s background lead her into the industry she is in right now? What makes her tick and what drives her to do the things that she does for her business? How was her transition from being an employee into being her own boss and building her own consulting firm? What had to change in her mindset during the transition? What type of skills did she have to develop? How did Linda develop the belief in herself as a business owner? What are the three main rules start-up business owners need to follow? Where would Linda point business owners to start the journey of meeting this first business rule? How does Linda go about finding and identifying the right person to join her team? Where does Linda see start-up business owners make most mistakes? What type of mindset does Linda usually see among business owners that will likely stop them from growing or achieving their goals? What common mistakes business owners often commit that create unnecessary stress and anxiety for them?   Highlights of Lessons Learned: Success in a Nutshell Success comes in increments and building a business takes a lot of effort and hard work, making it highly unlikely to achieve overnight success. It is important for start-up business owners to surround your self with people who support your dreams and your ideas. Linda advises new business owners to build their business acumen, otherwise, they are destined to fail.   Transition Process Stepping out of the insurance industry after twenty-six years, Linda had to reinvent herself in order to get the benefits of all the years she had worked as an employee. Linda discovered that being proactive, taking the initiative and taking yourself out of your comfort zone is very important things every employer and business owner must do. Walking out of the insurance industry as a manager had equipped Linda with the necessary skill set she needed for her business.   Business Rules The first business rule is to find a business coach. The second rule is to build a team, particularly those people who will be in charge of the legal, financial, as well as insurance side of your business. The third rule is to take careful considerations when pricing because coming in cheaper is not always the best way to go. New business owners must also remember to invest in themselves with training, seminars and the like.
