    Grief can knock us flat. Everything changes in an instant, and most people can't understand what we're going through. Karen Johnson's fast-paced life as a Federal Judge came to an abrupt halt when her son passed from an overdose. Rather than grieve in a way that made people around her comfortable, she did the unexpected.
