On today's episode of FRESH Takes On The Future Of Work, host Jess Podgajny mixes it up by discussing the power of representation through pop culture. As a reminder, Jess is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lluna, a team operating system for the modern employer. Reflecting on the world today, Jess shares how media impacts us individually and our society as a whole. Whether watching television, film, the news, or social media, it's always affirming to see people like yourself having influence. Historically, the media can also have a role in reinforcing stereotypes or can lack diversity itself. By breaking down various films and figures that are examples of representation done right, Jess demonstrates the positive ripple effect of inclusion and why it matters. Like it or not, employment has changed over the course of the pandemic. Employees have been given a taste of flexibility and they aren't eager to give it up. However, that shift in thinking toward the employee experience can be incredibly powerful for both employees and employers, if used correctly. You might remember Jess from the first season but she's the founder and CEO of Lluna, a company dedicated to empowering teams through flexibility.
