Heretical ist ein Action-Roguelite, welches mich von Anfang an motiviert hat. Vom Gameplay und der düsteren Atmosphäre her erinnert es ein wenig an eine Mischung aus Diablo und Soulslike. Die Kämpfe können fordernd sein und der Frust beim Tot ist natürlich groß, aber davon lebt ein Roguelike. Man behält hier jedoch freigeschalteten Fortschritt für den nächsten Run. Am meisten motiviert haben mich die Prophezeiungen, ein Achievement-System ist, womit mal neue Inhalte freischaltet. Die Story wird nicht explizit erzählt, aber durch die düstere Atmosphäre und je weiter man kommt, erfährt man etwas über die Welt, was für mich aber nicht im Fokus stand. Das Gameplay hat mich am meisten motiviert und hatte das klassische: „Nur noch ein Run!“-Momentum.Durch die neuen Charaktere und dadurch, dass jeder Run einzigartig ist durch Fähigkeiten und Items hat mich das Spiel unfassbar motiviert!

505 years ago, on this day in 1521, a German monk named Martin Luther stood before the Holy Roman Emperor, representatives of the Pope, and the assembled powers of church and state at the Diet of Worms. He was asked a simple question: Would he recant his writings? Luther had already nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to a church door several years earlier. Those ideas had spread. They had caused discomfort. They had challenged authority. And now, at Worms, he was being asked to take them back. His response, according to tradition, ended with the line: "Here I stand. I can do no other." In this episode of The Little Questions, Apella partners Andrew Brown and Matt Young mark the anniversary by doing something mildly unwise: convening our own modern-day Diet of Worms. Not the intestinal complaint, but the moment where you're asked to look back at what you've written, said, and believed… and decide whether you still stand by it. Spirit Nation: Poems From A Heretical Faith by John Patrick AcevedoJohn Patrick Acevedo's forthcoming book entitled "SPIRIT NATION Poems From A Heretical Faith" is about the Logos, Pathos, and Ethos that his life, love, and work has given him as well as taken away from him. It is also a book of Truths, especially the dynamics of the world of have and have-not's. In it, John Patrick Acevedo suggests that the inequity of the world is because of the non-compromise and the over-competition of the worker and market. Market uses the worker by the heart's active giving and the worker abuses market by the body's passive giving. Market abuses the worker by the soul's active taking and the worker uses market by the mind's passive or emotional taking. Acevedo suggests in his poetry that market should be more ccountable and the worker should be more goal-driven. He further offers his belief in a "family of faith" as well as a "Spirit Nation" that is neither America or Puerto Rico, where he currently resides with his paternal family, but rather an ideal that he believes is the fundamental mystery of both the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible. Richard G. DeClue, Jr., S.Th.D. is the Professor of Theology at the Word on Fire Institute. In addition to his undergraduate degree in theology (Belmont Abbey College), he earned three ecclesiastical degrees in theology at the Catholic University of America. He specializes in systematic theology with a particular interest and expertise in the thought of Joseph Ratzinger / Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. His STL thesis treated Ratzinger's Eucharistic ecclesiology in comparison to the Eastern Orthodox theologian John Zizioulas. His doctoral dissertation expounded and evaluated Ratzinger's theology of divine revelation. Dr. DeClue has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on Ratzinger's theology, and he taught a college course on the thought of Pope Benedict XVI. He is also interested in the ecclesiology of Henri de Lubac, the debate over nature and grace, and developing a rapprochement between Communio (ressourcement) theology and Thomism.
