Lionel and March, catching up low key over the phone. Island life and politics, Apple's new line up and some movie recommends are but a few of the topics covered. This was a test run on Riverside to record calls. Looks promsing and maybe we can have more of these in the future.

Jacob is back for another episode!! Some key points: why does Supernatural reuse names so damn much?, poor Dean just wants to feel *something* before he dies, Abby is still annoyed with Sam's secrets, and the writers of this episode clearly did the minimal research on the monster. A fun game would be to count how many wrong names Jacob/Abby call the crocotta. Join our Discord! https://discord.gg/Tjf2PkXUbC Find us on social media! The Couple Next Door was a similar Peg Lynch radio series which aired on CBS Radio during the waning days of network radio, (December 30, 1957 – November 25, 1960) with Peg Lynch and Alan Bunce as the married couple. It reprised Ethel and Albert, but the new name was necessitated because Lynch had long since lost the rights to the original title. The CBS iteration was named “Best Daytime Radio Program” for 1959 by The National Association for Better Radio and Television. Welcome Back To The Hunt - if we're being honest, even we wanted to hang up on this one. In this week's episode (S3, Ep 14, Long Distance Call), a series of phone calls from deceased loved ones has Sam and Dean on the case. We discuss if Dean's actions in this episode are ones that are fair to the character and if the goal of this episode could have been achieved in some other kind of way. Anti-John Winchester discussions are the gift that keep on giving in this episode, where Elayna, Abigail & Jessy talk about the last shred of Dean's hope and a cringe, unnecessary monster. Jessy has some beef with the "spirit phone", the impossible phone number, and this episode's mockery of museum tour guides. Sam is the voice for free will and the romanticism of hunting is losing its glow as there is no glory in John's legacy and Dean's trek towards hell continues. Here at the tail end of strike-shortened season 3, where multiple plotlines of the early season have been put on the back burner to await development in s4 (notably Sam and his demon powers, and the temptation to go to the dark side) in capitulation to the fact they wouldn't have enough time to develop them fully to save Dean from Hell... instead we dive headlong into the unavoidable and turn the wrench that will seal Dean's fate. For the second time in two weeks, Sam is tied to a chair, helpless to save an innocent seated across from him, and instead is forced to watch them die. Kinda meta for Sam's complete lack of ability to save Dean from Hell... Desperate to find a way to save himself, Dean falls for the bait-iest bait to ever be baited, and clings to the flimsy hope that his father is really reaching out from the beyond with a way to save him. Of course, it was all manipulation by the MotW who could control the narrative for his own benefit. But it also horrifyingly gave Dean a conversation with his “father” that he never expected to get. Forgiveness, love, and regret, in his father's voice, that wasn't really his father at all. Kinda... ouch. (don't worry, Sam will have his turn running down a lead built of false hope next week! lolol) Join me for Crying About Dean Hours!
