Patrick Parr is a predator featured in the Murphy, Texas investigation. He is known for his needy, revolting chat log, and for getting married halfway through chatting to the decoy despite claiming to be a "one lady man." A thirty-three-year-old man, Patrick began chatting with a Perverted Justice decoy who was posing as a fourteen-year-old girl. In his chat that spanned two months, he admitted to the girl that he has seen To Catch a Predator episodes where older men were arrested for attempting to meet underage children for sex. Using sickening grooming tactics, he asked the girl if she wanted to be his girlfriend, described his sexual desires for her (including anal and oral sex), sent her a picture of his penis, played around with the topic of incest, had lengthy webcam sessions during which he masturbated, and expressed delight that she was a virgin. Parr described himself as a "one lady man." The decoy, played by Lindsay Faye Wagner, welcomed Parr to the house. Parr appeared confused when he got to the sting house because the decoy was different from the picture he had been provided of an Asian girl online. With Parr suspicious, Chris mades his appearance. Everything, everywhere, all at once — but not the movie. This is how cybersecurity experts describe a scenario where a foreign adversary shuts off critical infrastructure, like oil pipelines, water networks, ports, and electric grids, all over the country. The terrifying truth is that China has already hacked into our critical infrastructure. They're “living off the land” and could conceivably attack whenever is most convenient. What's worse? Our political leaders are defunding America's cybersecurity efforts. In order to dig in deeper, Kara talks to Nicole Perlorth, Michael Schmidt, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, (Ret.) Nicole Perlroth spent a decade as the lead cybersecurity reporter at The New York Times, before going inside the tent and joining the advisory board of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the Council on Foreign Relations' Cyber Task Force. She is a founding partner at Silverbuckshot Ventures and the host and producer of To Catch a Thief, a new podcast on China's rise to cyber dominance. Michael Schmidt is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for The New York Times and the author of the best-selling book Donald Trump v. The United States. He's also the executive producer and co-creator of the Netflix series Zero Day, a political thriller about a devastating cyberattack on the U.S. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman is the former director of European Affairs for the National Security Council. Vindman was a key witness during President Trump's first impeachment and testified about Trump's infamous phone call with President Zelensky of Ukraine. He is a senior fellow at the Johns Hopkins Foreign Policy Institute and the author of The Folly of Realism: How the West Deceived Itself About Russia and Betrayed Ukraine. Questions? Comments? Season 7 Ep 11 (142) To Catch a Sly Written: David Paulsen Directed: Michael Preece Aired: December 9, 1983 ----more---- As J.R. continues his single minded pursuit to discover the identity of the spy within Ewing Oil who is providing Barnes with confidential business information, Katherine Wentworth continues her scheming to marry Bobby by getting more information about Jenna Wade's child that everyone assumes is Bobby's daughter. Meanwhile, Lucy tells Sue Ellen that she feels it's time to quit mourning over the death of Mickey, and that she wants to begin moving on with the rest of her life by asking Peter to escort her to a friends wedding. Despite the fact that Lucy is very aware that Peter has a strong attraction to Sue Ellen, and even appears to be embarrassingly shocked when Peter turns her offer down. Peter later confronts Sue Ellen outside a store front to express his dissatisfaction that she's not doing enough to maintain their mutually agreed upon friendship. In response, Sue Ellen isn't the least bit concerned that Peter's unrelenting need to be with her might be signs of a serious obsessive-compulsive disorder that needs to be treated, and simply tries to convince Peter that she wants to just remain friends. J.R. eventually discovers that the spy at Ewing Oil is the office secretary Sly, and after confronting her with the evidence, suggest that she work with him to double cross Cliff Barnes. ----more---- EwingBBQ.com Patreon: www.Patreon.com/EwingBBQ Merch: bit.ly/ewingbbqmerch Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/EwingBBQ/ TikTok: @Ewingbbq Instagram: @EwingBBQ Twitter: @BBQEwing
