No 3. līdz 8. martam Rīgā notiks 2. starptautiskais dokumentālā kino festivāls "Artdocfest/Riga", kurā skatītājiem divās konkursa programmās "Baltijas fokuss" un "Artdocfest", kā arī ārpuskonkursa programmā būs iespēja baudīt 28 dokumentālās filmas no 14 valstīm. Festivālā notiks režisores Ievas Ozoliņas dokumentālās filmas "Mana māte valsts" un režisores Elitas Kļaviņas filmas "Iļģuciema māsas" pirmizrādes. ​​Programmā "Baltijas fokuss" šogad ietvertas 11 starptautiskos festivālos izrādītas un atzinību guvušas filmas. Festivālā iekļauta arī Ukrainai veltīta dokumentālā kino programma, kas vēsta par notikumiem  kopš 2014. gada. Līdztekus Baltijas valstu filmām programmā ietverti arī Baltijas jūras reģiona valstu Dānijas, Krievijas, Polijas, Somijas, Vācijas un Zviedrijas kino darbi. Kultūras rondo par programmu "Baltijas fokuss" izvaicājam tās producenti Ievu Ūbeli un režisori Ievu Ozoliņu. Festivāla "Baltijas fokuss" konkursa programmā iekļautas divas Latvijas filmu pirmizrādes. Festivālu atklās režisores Ievas Ozoliņas dokumentālā filma "Mana māte valsts" – aizkustinošs stāsts par jaunas sievietes adopcijas ceļā zaudēto māsu meklējumiem, kad likuma robežas jau ir izsmeltas. Savukārt festivālu noslēgs režisores Elitas Kļaviņas filma "Iļģuciema māsas" – skaudrs stāsts par trīs sieviešu likteņiem, cerībām un ilgām pēc cilvēcīgas attieksmes ārpus cietuma mūriem. Festivālā arī izrādīs jaunās ukraiņu režisores Alīnas Gorlovas 2020. gada filmas “Šis lietus nekad nebeigsies”. Par filmu stāsts un saruna ar režisori raidījumā Augstāk par zemi. Savukārt raidījumā Brīvības bulvāris saruna ar festivāla dibinātāju - kino režisoru Vitāliju Manski.

In deze aflevering van BETER OP PAPIER. ontvangen Teo en Lara Harbers de Groningse popheld Swinder op DATkantoor. Zijn nieuwe album Nosk is af en klaar voor de release op 17 mei in VERA. Bas Schröder, de man achter de baard, vertelt alles over schilderen met dialect, waarom hij zo'n sucker is voor melodie en hoe hij voor deze plaat de samenwerking aanging met Tim Knol. 'Ik weet niet wat je zingt, maar ik geloof je.' Soms denk je iemand te kennen en dan doet hij iets wat niet in het hokje past dat je voor hem hebt gereserveerd. Bas Schröder is zo'n man. Hij zit al jaren in mijn kennissenkring. Toen we jonger waren maakte hij emo-rock, later werd het post-hardcore en screamo. Allemaal harde muziek, snerpende gitaren en veel geschreeuw. Na een aantal jaren niets van hem te hebben gehoord, kwam ik hem in 2015 tegen in de lokale gym samen met twee andere bazen uit de punk- en metalscene. Tussen het pompen door doe je een praatje en wat kwam er uit? Deze gasten hadden een nieuwe niche gevonden: Groningstalige popmuziek. You're fucking shitting me, Sherlock. Nope, het was echt waar. En sterker nog, het is nog steeds echt waar. 'Vroeger speelden we allemaal in kraakpanden waar je niet eens wist of iets nou afwaswater was of de soep. Nu staan we op prachtige plekken mooie liedjes voor te dragen. Swinder is de eerste band waar we zelf geen verlies op draaien en kunnen doen wat we echt mooi vinden.' Ons gesprek gaat van harde post-hardcore als Helsinki Suicide -  een act die in Groningen en Europa veel furore maakte aan het  begin van het millennium - tot het levensverhaal van Bas. Hoe hij als net jongetje verhuisde naar het platteland. Waar zijn fascinatie voor het Gronings ontstond en hoe hij door vele ups en downs uiteindelijk alsnog zijn liefde voor popmuziek kan voortzetten als artiest. Dat het leven van een jonge ondernemer niet over rozen gaat moge duidelijk zijn. Vooral als je al gevonden hebt wat je zoekt, maar de maatschappij toch eist dat je een opleiding hebt. 'Ik begon met psychologie, maar dat was het niet voor mij. Na wat omzwervingen kwam ik op de Academie voor Popcultuur uit. Nou, dat was het ook niet. Op een gegeven moment was mijn stufi op en toen ben ik gewoon aan het werk gegaan.' Gelukkig kan Bas zich naast zijn werk focussen op creëren. Zo komt in de week van 17 mei zijn tweede plaat uit genaamd Nosk. 'Dit is een bijzonder woord. Het betekent letterlijk stilte in de natuur. Prachtig toch?' Op het album staan mooie, goed uitgedachte liedjes. We hebben al een tipje van de sluier opgelicht en naar het nieuwe werk geluisterd. Het doet wat Beatlesque aan, concluderen Lara en ik. 'Ik heb voor deze plaat wel goed research gedaan naar composities en melodieën, dus het klopt een beetje wat je zegt.' Wij zijn er in ieder geval bij aankomende release. Annas Sakses pasaku "Sniegpulkstenīte" no krājuma "Pasakas par ziediem" 2005. gadā Latvijas Radio studijā ieskaņojis aktieris Imants Skrastiņš. Kad Sniegamātei piedzima meitenīte, viņa ilgi domāja, kā to nosaukt. Domāja, domāja, kamēr izdomāja un nosauca to mīlīgā vārdā — Pārsliņa. Pārsliņa bija balta meitiņa baltiem matiņiem, gulēja baltā gultiņā un sedzās ar baltiem mākoņu paladziņiem. Kad Pārsliņa bija pieaugusi, sāka nākt precinieki. Atnāca Mēness, bet Pārsliņai tas nepa­tika — tāds nodzēries plikgalvis un naktsputns vien bija. Klimst visu nakti pa debesu krogiem, bet dienā palien zem mākoņa un guļ nost. Atnāca Saulesstars, bet Pārsliņa arī to noraidīja. Pārāk karsti viņš zvērēja mīlestību, lai varētu ticēt... Tad noskaitās Sniegatēvs un bargi pateica meitai: "Ja tu pati nevari sev izvēlēties vīru, tad no­tiks mana griba!" Un viņš aizlaida ziņu debesu zilgmes valdniekam Vējam, kuram zināja četrus dēlus vēl esam nepre­cētus. Atbrauca Vējš rakstītās kamanās, kā zvaniņi noskanēja straujajiem kumeļiem pie iemauktiem piesa­lušās ledus tilkas. Pārsliņu saderēja Vēja vecākajam dēlam Ziemelim. Laimīgā Sniegamāte locīja meitai pūru. Pēļus un spilvenus piebēra ar mīkstām sniega dūnām, vīlēja un šuva baltus mākoņu palagus, savēra uz diedziņiem mirdzošas ledus krelles. Skaista kā princese izskatījās Pārsliņa, kad sabrauca kāzinieki. Priecājās radi, vēlēja laimes, slavēja jaunā pāra skaistumu un saderību, tikai Pārsliņa nejuta savu sirdi straujāk iepukstamies, kad, visiem pie galda saucot "Rūgts! Rūgts!", viņas mutei pieskārās Ziemeļa aukstās lūpas. "Es nespēšu viņu mīlēt," Pārsliņa nopūtās tik klusi, ka to dzirdēja tikai viņas māte. "Nebūs manai meitiņai laimes," iedrebējās mātes sirds. Kad dzīres jau sita augstu vilni, jaunais vīrs uz­ sauca brālim Dienvidam, lai tas uzspēlējot kādu dejas meldiju. Un Dienvids nosēdās uz mākoņa malas, iz­ņēma no azotes savu stabuli un sāka spēlēt. Maiga melodija dūdoja un vijās, un Pārsliņa izgāja dejot. Viņa griezās un virpuļoja, piesizdama savu sidraba kurpīšu skanošos papēdīšus, bet aušīgais dieveris Austrums sita plaukstas un smējās. Tikai skumjais Rie­tums sadrūma arvien vairāk, līdz sāka raudāt, atspiedis galvu pret tēva plecu. "Mans dēls, kāpēc tu raudi tik jautrā brīdī?" neizpratnē jautāja tēvs. "Gribu zināt, kāpēc tu Pārsliņu ieprecināji brālim, nevis man... Kāpēc man nebūs tik skaistas sievas?" šņukstēja Rietums. Tagad arī Dienvids pacēla savas zilās acis pret Pārsliņu, un tās sastapās ar jaunuves dzirkstošo skatienu. Dienvida stabule sāka skanēt vēl maigāk, tā dziedāja tikai Pārsliņai, un Pārsliņa dejoja tikai Dienvidam. Sniegamāte zem galda paslepus lauzīja rokas: kas gan notiks, kad to pamanīs niknais un straujais Zie­melis? "Meitiņ, meitiņ, valdi savu sirdi..." Bet kas vairs var savaldīt sirdi, kad tajā pamodusies mīlestība? Vai Pārsliņa būtu spējusi to, ko nespēj cilvēki — ne jauni, ne veci, ne muļķi, ne pasaules gudrie! Varbūt Ziemelis, aizņemts sarunā ar Sniegatēvu, arī nebūtu nekā pamanījis, ja skaudīgais Rietums nepiegrūstu viņam pie sāniem: "Tava Pārsliņa tūlīt izkusīs brāļa Dienvida kar­stajos acu glāstos..." Niknumā zvērodams, Ziemelis trieca dūri pret galdu un uzkliedza Dienvidam: "Bāz azotē savu stabuli, vai arī es to salauzīšu! Es vairs netaupīšu tavus rožu dārzus un ābeļu dārzus. Vēl šonakt es tiem uzpūtīšu savu elpu, tad rīt tu varēsi šūpoties nokaltušajos zaros un raudāt siltas asaras," Ziemelis drau­dēja brālim. Laikam taču mīlestība vislabāk var pateikt padomu, kā glābt to, kas tavam mīlamajam ir dārgāks par dzī­vību. Ziemelis vēl nepaguva ievilkt elpu, kad Pārsliņa, redzēdama Dienvida acis satumstam, ātri atrāva vaļa savus pūrā dotos pēļus un acumirklī Dienvida dār­zus kā balta seģene noklāja sniegs. Ne rozēm, ne ābelēm nekā vairs nevarēja nodarīt Ziemeļa ledainā elpa. Kā prātu zaudējis, Ziemelis tagad mēģināja atriebties Pārsliņai. Viņš atvēzējās pret viņu ar savu pātagu, bet Pārsliņa veikli izvairījās. Tad Ziemelis nosvieda pātagu un metās uz Pārsliņu. "Kāzas beigušās!" viņš kliedza. "Tagad es tevi vedīšu uz mājām un ieslēgšu tumšā pagrabā. Tur tevi sagrauzīs žurkas un peles, tu — nepaklausīgā sieva!" Laikam taču arī Dienvidam mīlestība pateica, kā glābt to, kas viņa sirdij bija kļuvusi dārgāka par dzī­vību. Viņš pieskāva sev pie krūtīm Pārsliņu un lidoja ar to uz saviem dārziem. Ziemelis iegaudojās kā aizšauts vilks un, neaizmirsis pagrābt pātagu, dzinās viņiem pakaļ. Sarkanas svītras zibēja tumšajās debesīs, kur gaisu kapāja Ziemeļa pātaga, bet viņa aurošana tricināja gaisu, ka pērkona grāvieni. Bet kur varēja Dienvids noslēpt Pārsliņu no Ziemeļa dusmām? Viņš nolika to zem rožu krūma un teica, lai pagaidot viņu te, kamēr viņš izcīnīšot grūto div­kauju ar brāli. "Noskūpsti mani, pirms aizej, mans mīļais, mans vienīgais, un es tevi gaidīšu te kaut visu mūžu." Un Dienvidvējš skūpstīja Pārsliņu maigi un ilgi, līdz juta, ka mīļotā saplok viņa skavās un kā rasas piliens norit un saplūst ar zemi. "Kur viņa? Kur palika viņa?" — purinādams brāli, tincināja pieskrējušais Ziemelis. "Es redzēju, nupat tu viņu skūpstīji!" "Ak brāli, nav mums vairs ko naidoties," skumji atbildēja Dienvids. "Lūk, tur viņa tagad guļ, kā rasas piliens, kā asara, savienojusies ar zemi." "Ha, es viņai neticu un neticu arī tev," zobus griezdams, atbildēja Ziemelis. "lai viņa nekad ne­varētu celties, es viņai uzvelšu ledus vāku." Reizi pa reizei Dienvidvējš iet aplūkot savus rožu dārzus un ābeļu dārzus. Un, lai tas ir ziemas vidū vai agrā pavasarī, Pārsliņa jūt viņa tuvumu, ar savu elpu atkausē ledus vākā mazu lodziņu un pabāž galviņu, lai ieskatītos sava mīļotā zilajās acīs. Bet cilvēki, kas ierauga mazo baltgalvīti, nez kāpēc kļūst priecīgi un stāsta cits citam kā lielu notikumu: "Tu zini, dārzā jau uzziedējusi Sniegpulkstenīte!"
