Dave Hynes (Vocals) & Jason Connelly (Drums) have played in many metal acts throughout the years. When they joined up to form Grave Sermon with Cory (bass), Mark (guitars) and Gavin (guitars) it was to answer the call to make nasty, filthy Death Metal that culminated in the release of Whitewashed Tomb in 2019. Gavin soon left and was replaced by the excellent Greg Clarke of Parhelia. An appearance in Monolith Festival in Cork certainly worked in their favour and started a buzz about the five piece. Since lockdown hit they have been unable to rehearse together, I talk to the lads about that and their many insights into tours around Ireland playing with different bands. Journeying through the atmospheric side of the label, littered with breakbeats and jungle sounds, this 45 minute mix gives a real insight to the ethos of the Omni Music outlet. I was delighted to welcome Dave and Gearoid of Drought along with Danielle of The Metal Cell Forums to have a chat about their progress so far. Drought is a collective of individuals that have been involved with bands such as Coldwar, Mortichnia, Warpath, Wound Upon Wound and Slave Zero. The lads talk about their influences across Sludge, Death, Black & Doom Metal. They have released two excellent songs so far and have another few ready by all accounts. Despite having played only one live show, they definitely have captured a lot of people's attention in the Irish Metal Scene and are one to watch in 2020. In the year that followed the Miracle, the Brighton Lineage leveraged their skill as diplomats (and their resort-quality holdings) to gain favor with factions throughout the Mirage. So succesful were they that they became the de jure rulers of the Rogue Wave, supported not by a fleet of their own, but through a collection of treaties to the military powers of the Quire system. But with the arrival of Our Profit, the creation of Parhelia, and the revelation of the Rapid Evening, the system has been thrown into disaray, and the Brightons have been left without their external support. Smelling blood in the water--and spurred on by the relic-hunters of Advent--the Herringbone Flotilla, former leaders of the Rogue Wave, have finally struck. It is the first extended battle of the Post-Miracle Mirage, a war without guns, yet filled with bloodshed. Over the last month, Even Gardner, Echo Reverie, and Gig Kephart have helped the Brightons in keeping civilians safe from harm. They've also uncovered the real reason for Advent's involvement here: They seek some object that would let them to capture the Wandering Sea, a powerful being that would grant Advent the ability to see into the future. Now: Even Gardner, Gig Kephart, and Kent Brighton have located and secured this mysterious object, locked away in a crate. And as they prepare to extract it under enemy fire, Echo Reverie faces down a challenge of their own: Family Dinner. Не знаю, но она всегда у меня ассоциируется с небом: ясным, чистым… весенним теплом) и я не раз писал, что драм – это музыка дорог и путешествий) хотя я думаю, каждый найдет в ней что то свое) в общем что я вас мучаю, наслаждайтесь весной уже, не ждите 1 марта) надеюсь этот микс попадет в ваше «избранное» как попал в мое)

The name Parhelia quickly became known among St. Petersburg's and then Russian fans of beautiful atmospheric drum & bass music after his first appearance on the music scene. Music of Dmitry is notably influenced by sci-fi, futurism and the beauty of space. He creates amazing music landscapes, so colorful and vivid that you want to close your eyes immediately and immerse yourself in it. This sound is extremely original, light, atmospheric, it has its own special shades and tones. Indeed, it is always easy to recognize the sound of Parhelia. During his musical career Dmitry managed to release a number of tracks on such famous and influential labels in deep and atmospheric drum & bass music as Offworld Recordings, Advection Music, Scientific Records, Odyssey Recordings, Camino Blue, Santorin, Soul Deep, Telluric, Rotation Deep , Absys Records, Monochrome, Reminiscence Audio and Kos.Mos.Music.
