News - Borderlands 3 isn't even out yet, and the PC community is up in arms about the Epic Store exclusivity. Devs are getting more money though, so is that really a bad thing? We always sign off every episode with the same closing, and decided to turn that into something more. These icons stating 'Be Kind to Your Fellow Gamers' in both Red and Blue are available on a variety of things, like mugs and shirts via Redbubble. Now Playing - Dylan explores the single player side of everyone's favorite multiplayer brawler, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. Surprisingly, he finds that it doesn't drag as much as a tacked on single player mode should, and the puzzle elements of each match up present some fun challenge. Ryan takes a break from boring you with Kingdom Hearts shenanigans and instead talks about a book about gaming, Blood, Sweat and Pixels by Jason Schreier from Kotaku. These inside stories from development are always cool to hear, so track down a copy of the book if you want a deep dive into some of your favorite titles. News - GDC has come and gone, and Google is looking to shake up the industry in big ways with the Google Stadia. Will the giant infrastructure problems that plague the United States doom this device from the get go? The biggest problem: consumer grade internet data caps. We will be keeping an eye on things to see if streaming is really the future of gaming. Also, surprising no one, there are rumors that there are multiple versions of the Nintendo Switch being made, from a handheld only version of the machine to what essentially amounts to a Nintendo Switch Pro. We always sign off every episode with the same closing, and decided to turn that into something more. These icons in both Red and Blue are available on a variety of things, like mugs and shirts via Redbubble. With that being said, lets get to some games! Now Playing - Dylan goes through the woes of playing an online game with a non-existent community, on a console two generations old. Pokémon Battle Revolution was a good first attempt at online play, but now the software is basically just a husk of former greatness. Ryan has some beef to grind with J-RPG's, specifically Kingdom Hearts 1, and the need to keep the ending of the game behind a constant pattern of 8 minute cut scene, boss, 8 minute cut scene, 2nd form of boss, 10 minute cut scene, final form of boss. News - Google is looking to enter the gaming space, with a really weird controller and a brand new VP to head up the initiative. Will this be a good bet, or is this another Steambox trying to enter the marketplace. In what seems like an announcement years in the making Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to PC! What will this mean for the future of the Halo Championship Series, and the future of the franchise? Does this signal Microsoft's plans to step out of the hardware space? All we know is more Halo is great! Competitive Corner - Call of Duty wants to enter the esports scene in a big way, but with a $25 million buy in will it actually be successful? The EVO line up is leaving Super Smash Brothers Melee behind in favor of Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. Is this a good idea or a bad idea?

He started by wiping his old Gamecube memory card and is replaying all the games he has, starting with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Ryan explores the brilliance that is Tetris 99. Who would have thought Tetris and Battle Royal games would go together so well? News - Activision Blizzard reported their best year ever, but that didn't stop them form laying off 8% of their workforce. While most of these layoff's have come from 'non-development' positions, there are still disastrous effects from letting all of these people go. What does this mean for community relationships and esports? Competitive Corner - Overwatch League Season 2 has started! Stephanie Cooke cut her teeth in the comics industry as one of several hosts on one of the original comic book podcasts – Talking Comics. From there, she was able to work behind-the-scenes at many comic conventions, eventually becoming the personal assistant of some of the biggest names in the industry. Now, she has struck out on her own as the founder and editor-in-chief of Rogues Portal a pop culture review and commentary website. A writer in her own right, her work has appeared in the Toronto Comics Anthology, The Secret Loves of Geek Girls and more recently, Mark Millar's Millarworld Anthology 2017 and the upcoming Blocked and Wayward Sisters Anthologies. In this conversation we discuss how she takes much of her inspiration for her work from her own life and what it was like working with Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, Kingsmen: The Secret Service, Wanted) and his team.@hellocookie@RoguesPortalwww.roguesportal.comMillarworld 2017The Secret Loves of Geek GirlsWayward SistersBlockedTalking Comics Podcast Archive
