It's the final week of May, and with that comes the first part of an all-new episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast. Adnan Riaz and Adam sit down for ‘Side A' of this episode and take a deep dive into the news that four actors — Tom Cullen (Mark Jefferson), Leisha Hailey (Joyce Price), Raúl Castillo (David Madsen) and Owen Teague (Frank Bowers) — have been cast for Amazon Prime Video's Life Is Strange TV show.
Side A of this episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast debuted earlier this week on RSS feeds and YouTube. But now, ‘Side B' of the podcast is here, with Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt taking a deep dive into the Substack of Life Is Strange: Reunion co-director and co-writer Jonathan Zimmerman.
It's a new week, and that also means that Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast is BACK for an all-new episode. Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt sit down to discuss Karyn Kusama finally speaking out about the Life Is Strange TV show, as well as Lauren Wolkstein becoming the second director attached to the Amazon Prime Video-bound series! Oh, and it would not be an episode of StrangeCast without Beethoven & Dinosaur creative director Johnny Galvatron or Mixtape being included!
Following on from the release of ‘Side A' of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast — the episode is on both YouTube and RSS feeds — Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt are back for the second part of the podcast. Don't Nod Montreal studio creative director Michel Koch, who is the co-creator of both Lost Records: Bloom & Rage and Life Is Strange, takes centre stage for this part of the episode after talking about ALL things relating to Rachel Amber!
Move on over, Life Is Strange and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. ‘Side A' of the all-new episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast is ALL about Beethoven & Dinosaur's Mixtape! The Lost Records Journal and StrangeCast co-hosts Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt sit down for a full-blown spoilercast and review of the Annapurna Interactive-published title.
Mixtape is a new game from Beethoven & Dinosaur, the studio behind 2021's whimsical musical adventure The Artful Escape. It's Life Is Strange (absent the supernatural) by way of John Hughes. Patrick recently had an opportunity to chat with Mixtape's lovingly eccentric creative director, Johnny Galvatron, and its producer, Woody Woodward, about what it means to make a video game about love, booze, and teenage friendship. Plus, we talk about Weezer.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Following on from the release of ‘Side A' of the latest episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast, The Lost Records Journal co-hosts Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt continue their talk around all things Life Is Strange. Amazon Prime Video's Life Is Strange TV show takes centre stage again, but this time, it's what two of the key architects behind the Square Enix-owned franchise -- Luc Baghadoust and Michel Koch -- are now saying about the series!
Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt are BACK for an all-new episode of StrangeCast, Player 1 vs The World's Life Is Strange fan-focused podcast. For this ‘Side A' part of StrangeCast, The Lost Records Journal co-hosts take a deep dive into a ton of new information around Amazon Prime Video's Life Is Strange TV show, including a listing that teases three directors will be used for the six-episode structure in the series.
Following on from ‘Side A' of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast x The Lost Records Journal podcast episode, Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt continue discussing topics from our Patreon users. Deck Nine's Life Is Strange: Reunion and Don't Nod Entertainment's earnings are among the major topics in ‘Side B' of this episode.

Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt MEET Life Is Strange: Reunion senior writer Iris Dauterman and co-director and co-writer Jonathan Zimmerman on Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast for an interview!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Jared and Anne Ladyem (anneladyem.com) reach the end of Max's journey in Life Is Strange with the latest game in the series that also reintroduces Chloe and a plot that's kind of just there.
The latest episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast x The Lost Records Journal podcast continues with ‘Side B.' Adnan Riaz and Adam Evalt continue to answer questions from our lovely Patreon users, with Deck Nine's Life Is Strange: Reunion taking centre stage for the episode!
Op 26 maart 2026 is Life is Strange: Reunion uitgebracht.

We're in the midst of a promising month of releases on PlayStation 5, and our patience is finally about to be rewarded. For starters, Housemarque's first party third-person shooter Saros has gone gold. So, too, has Capcom's beleaguered (yet incredibly promising) Pragmata, which was first revealed in 2020 for a 2022 release. Starfield's and Hades II's PS5 debuts, Mouse: PI For Hire's launch, the Konami-published Darwin's Paradox, the undoubtedly addictive Vampire Crawlers, and much more have us asking: When are we supposed to find the time to play all of this? It's a good problem to have! Plus: Sony purchases British machine learning firm Cinemersive Labs, Neil Druckmann teases the future of The Last of Us, Stellar Blade developer Shift Up buys Shinji Mikami's new studio outright, Disney executives are apparently interested in acquiring Epic, MindsEye's bizarre drama gets even weirder, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! What's the status of Fairgames? Are there any Life Is Strange fans in the LSM crew? Should gaming be more accessible to the poor? Is it possible that the Artemis II astronauts will listen to this episode of the show while en route to the moon? On this episode of Random Encounter, we talk about cars ramming one another and time travel. And no, for once, this isn't a Back to the Future reference (although it could be)!First up is Matt chatting about the big grand finale of the Life is Strange franchise, Life Is Strange: Reunion (although we're sure there will be another one coming out in a few years). After the disappointment of the previous game in the series, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, fan anxiety went through the roof when it was announced the next game would be the long-awaited reunion between Chloe and Max. Does this reunion deliver? And then Jerry is here to talk about the noir-soaked decopunk atmosphere of the new strategy RPG, Aether & Iron. It's time to explore a massive, floating version of 1930s New York as you save a dame, throw back a drink, and hit the road in strategic car combat! For the first game from the developer Seismic Squirrel, Aether & Iron absolutely punches above its weight! Max “Hella” Caulfield may have the ability to manipulate time and space, but despite her superpowers, it's more than likely that this week's release of Life Is Strange: Reunion signals the end of Life Is Strange. Patrick recently had a chance to chat with actor Hannah Tell, who's played Max since the very beginning, about what it means to bring this story to a conclusion. Despite its time travel mechanics, high stakes, and pulpy murder plot, Don't Nod Entertainment's 2015 adventure game Life is Strange stood out from most video games with its unapologetic emphasis on queer romance and friendships. Yet for all the game's specificity, players around the world found something of themselves in its protagonist, Max Caulfield, a perceptive yet insecure teen photographer who discovers she has the ability to rewind time itself. Narrative designer Kaitlin Tremblay offers an intimate close reading in Life is Strange (Boss Fight Books, 2026) through the lenses of personal history, YA fantasy, identity formation, grief, and most of all, choice. If Max is “the sum of all the possible choices that she could make,” as Tremblay writes, then every decision we players make says something about who we are—and who we want to be. Kaitlin Tremblay is a writer and narrative designer. Rudolf Thomas Inderst (*1978) enjoys video games since 1985. He received a master's degree in political science, American cultural studies as well as contemporary and recent history from Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich and holds two PhDs in game studies (LMU & University of Passau). Currently, he's teaching as a professor for game design and game studies at the HNU University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm, Germany, has submitted his third dissertation at the University of Vechta, holds the position as lead editor at the online journal TITEL kulturmagazin for the game section, hosts the German local radio show Replay Value and is editor of the weekly game research newsletter Game Studies Watchlist.
