In today's Daily Fix: Xbox has revealed the games coming to Game Pass in Wave 1 for November. Headlining the list is the new Metal Slug Tactics and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Other games include StarCraft Remastered and StarCraft 2 Campaign Collection, Goat Simulator Remastered, and more. There are a few games leaving the service, as well—for the full list head over to IGN.com. In other news, more than 50 games will be enhanced for PS5 Pro in time for the mid-gen console upgrade's launch. Those titles include Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Diablo 4, Baldur's Gate 3, No Man's Sky, and a bunch more. PSVR2 owners aren't entirely left out, with Kayak VR: Mirage getting upgrades, as well. Yeah, that's it, one PSVR2 game. And finally, a new Pokémon mobile game is dominating the mobile charts, and gamers' wallets. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has seen more than 10 million downloads since its release last week, and it's making around $3 million per day in in-app purchases. It's still a far cry from sister game Pokémon Go's heyday, but if this pace keeps up, the game could make $1 billion in its first year.
The Tokyo Game Show has happened! What tasty treats were announced this time? And what new ways can Xbox shoot themselves in the foot? Fear not, my friends! Xbox came, saw, and conquered the Tokyo Game Show this year! StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection are set to join PC Game Pass in November, making a legendary return to the gaming forefront. And joining the RTS hype, Age of Mythology got some love too, in the form of a brand-new expansion! Overwatch 2 fans rejoiced as the thrilling My Hero Academia collaboration brings new life and excitement to the game. Fallout 76 players can collect adorable new C.A.M.P. pets, adding a touch of charm to their post-apocalyptic adventures. And the excitement for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was palatable! Not to be outdone, the legendary first six games in the Final Fantasy series have made their way into the world of Xbox (and Windows). Thats right, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters are here. The pixel remasters include universally updated 2D pixel graphics, a rearranged soundtrack and quality of life improvements. Updated gameplay includes modernized UI, auto-battle options, and supplementary extras such as a bestiary, illustration gallery and music player. And if this is not enough for you, then catch up on all the news direct from Xbox themselves! Blizzard fans were left disappointed after learning that planned Netflix adaptations of StarCraft, Overwatch, and Diablo were canceled due to a legal battle between Blizzard and Netflix. The dispute began when Blizzard sued Netflix for poaching its Chief Financial Officer, Spencer Neumann, in 2019. Fans were particularly excited about the potential for an Overwatch animated series, given the game's successful character-driven shorts. While Warcraft was left out of the canceled projects due to the poor reception of its 2016 film, other major franchises lost their shot at streaming success. Despite this, Blizzard continues to focus on supporting current titles like Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 while prepping the release of StarCraft: Remastered on Game Pass.

You sit down, strap yourself in, and wait for the feels. You turn a knob until the bass integrated into the back of the seat starts to thrum and buzz. "Ah, I can feel that for sure," you say aloud to no one. Your mouth turns down at the side, half a frown, as you look through your options. The hosts said they recorded this a while ago, but you think they might have been too kind. On the screen: A collection of lost games for an 8-bit console. A new video game system called the "Xbox One X." A... new... 2D Sonic the Hedgehog. Suddenly the thrum is not just in your back, but everywhere. The hum unbearable, you swat at your gamer harness, but the five point lock holds you strong. The hum is everything, everywhere.
