In a shocking turn of events…well maybe not that shocking…As first reported by the Wall Street Journal, Vince McMahon voted himself back to the WWE Board of Directors earlier this week. McMahon, as the majority shareholder, made it clear that he was returning to help facilitate a potential sale of the company or a partnership of some kind with some other entity. Who would some of those players be? What would a potential merger look like? WWE's media rights are set for renewal in mid-2023 and they have become the main focus of why Vince has come back and why a sale is even being discussed, who stands to benefit and how will this change the landscape of the WWE. However, will that be the only piece of WWE business the former Chairman and CEO gets involved in? WWE has been a breath of fresh air since Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Triple H have been at the helm. Triple H has done a fantastic job creatively and has brought back a lot of former talent including Dakota Kai, Bray Wyatt, Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Hit Row, Dexter Lumis, Johnny Gargano, and Braun Strowman.
