Today's dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to receiving your degree in life. Imagine that? Who would have ever thought that one could receive a degree as such? I'm here to tell you it's possible. You've probably heard the saying, “you'll learn…just live a little longer.” My moma use to always say that and it's funny, yet it's so true. You know, some of the best lessons that you can learn in life are taught outside of the classroom. So that means you have to live a little. Meaning, don't be afraid to make a mistake. Don't be afraid to fall in love. Don't be afraid to try something new. Don't be afraid to LIVE! How could you ever know what's for you and what isn't for you if you never give it a try? Just imagine the countless experiences you've robbed yourself from, simply because you were too afraid to live. It's ok not to have everything figured out. That's what living is for! As Beyonce stated in her hit single, “Schoolin' Life,” stop stressing and “for now make your life what you decide.” It's time for you to step outside of your comfort zone. Embrace the art of feeling, the good and the bad. I just want you to feel something! And always remember, “there's not a 'right' way to live this…stay relentless. Don't stop running until it's finished. It's up to you, the rest is unwritten.” That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow me on all social media @DawnDaiSpeaks and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset!" Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com

On this week’s episode, we talk performing for others. If we’re being honest, we’ve all played a game or two. The good girl, the strong friend, the devoted wife, the gay best friend—these roles are familiar and may be comfortable for us to step into, in order to maintain important relationships. Nothing is wrong with playing the part, per say, but it’s important not to let others typecast you based on their needs or expectations. The struggle comes when others are disappointed that you aren’t being the person they need, and you have to decide if the role should become larger than your true personality. Listen as we talk about the games people play and how to avoid getting played while Schoolin Life.   Grab your FREE ticket to our Virtual Live Show as we celebrate our 100th episode!
