Aber was dann? Die Verantwortung abschieben? Resignieren?

Raphaël Raux's 2025 Harvard Horizon project, "Human Learning about AI," conducted in collaboration with fellow PhD student Bnaya Dreyfuss, explores how people often assume AI thinks like a human, which can lead to confusion about what these systems can and can't do. As a PhD candidate in economics at Harvard, Raux studies the complex relationship between how humans think and how artificial intelligence works. His research challenges common assumptions about AI and encourages a clearer, more realistic understanding of the technology. In his April 2025 talk at the annual Harvard Horizons Symposium, Raux shared insights from his work, which he hopes will support smarter decisions about how we use AI and help guide its development in ways that benefit both the economy and society.

A Faulty Dissertation ep.774 Raine Fallfish is a poet and storyteller currently developing two collections of poetry and a video game. Her first poetry project, The Apocalypse of Cassandra, is a sonnet sequence chronicling the end of the world. Her second, an untitled collection of mini-epics, weaves together classical mythology and modern folklore to capture the essence of loss and desperation. One of these pieces, The Death of the Asphodel, is available to read for free on her website. She is also part of the creative team behind Owlrabbit, an indie metroidvania that examines the interactions of death, legacy, and ruin. You can find more of her work at rainefallfish.com, especially if you're drawn to stories steeped in melancholy and tragedy.   ---- Listen Elsewhere ---- YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/c/TallTaleTV Website: http://www.TallTaleTV.com   ---- Story Submission ---- Got a short story you'd like to submit? Submission guidelines can be found at http://www.TallTaleTV.com   ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- Hi there! My name is Chris Herron and I'm an audiobook narrator. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year. The doctors didn't give me much hope, predicting an 80% chance that I would never see again. But I refused to give up and changed my lifestyle drastically. Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision. During that difficult time, I couldn't read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me. I selected some of my favorite books, such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more, and the audiobooks brought these stories to life in a way I had never experienced before. They helped me through the darkest period of my life and I fell in love with audiobooks. Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That's why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal. My goal was to help them promote their work by providing a promotional audio short story that showcases their writing skills to readers. They say the strongest form of advertising is word of mouth, so I offer a platform for readers to share these videos and help spread the word about these talented writers. Please consider sharing these stories with your friends and family to support these amazing authors. We begin by examining the key differences between the two: while a dissertation demonstrates our research abilities to advisors, a book communicates core ideas to a broader audience. We discuss how to distill our arguments, streamline dense sections, and rewrite for clarity and engagement. We also consider our target audience—academic or trade—and address the ethical and legal considerations of permissions for borrowed materials.
