ORIGINAL AIR DATE: MARCH 15, 2019Brothers of the Serpent Episode 089:We spend some time on listener comments and correspondence, reading them and responding in kind. Kyle then reads some fascinating news stories about ancient CMEs, and advanced mathematics describing why hipsters are the first to be annoying, anywhere. After that, we read excerpts from Graham Hancock's book Underworld about the mysterious Jomon people of ancient Japan, whose culture survived for at least 12,000 years. Jomon pottery is by far the oldest pottery ever discovered, by many thousands of years, and they had some oldest known organized planned settlements in the world.
Time for a book report. We've been wanting to do Charles Fort's The Book of the Damned for a while now, as in many ways it is the foundation of much of modern investigations into the strange, weird, and wonderful. As always, we begin by reading through the various intros and forwards to the book. There is an introduction by Jim Steinmeyer, which gives us some insight into Fort himself and his life. Then there is Fort's own introduction to The Book of the Damned, which gives us some insight into his goals and some of his thinking regarding the subjects of the book. It also gives us an introduction into Fort's unique style of writing. After these two intros, we begin tackling the main subjects, starting with strange atmospheric effects, colored hail, and weird rain.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 229If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
This week we welcome another listener and long time supporter of the show on as a guest to talk about his explorations of the area in which he lives. Brandon Ricks, AKA "HistoryShift", who has been making our YouTube videos for years, has immersed himself in the exploration of the public wilderness areas near his home in Montana, where there are many fascinating geological formations, some of which are so strange that it raises the question of possible human construction or at least modification. We did record video for this episode, so if you want to see the many photos and videos Brandon showed us of his discoveries, look for the YouTube video, which will be up as soon as Brandon finishes it.You can also see many more images and videos at Brandon's website, and you can even get google earth coordinates and maps, if you're interested in hiking out to see these formations yourself.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 228If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Listener Josh Smart joins us to discuss and show his field explorations of the numerous old stone walls, chambers, and possible effigies that dot the landscape of Vermont. Listeners may recall that we have been to Vermont many times due to having family up there, and the last few times we have been, we have taken a day or two to drive around and look for these structures ourselves, including visiting an area known as the "Smith Farm" which has many of these strange and beautiful stone mounds and walls.Josh, being a native to Vermont, has developed a system for finding these structures and has hiked out to see them and take pictures. He shares his photos and thoughts with us on this episode, explaining what he has found and the questions he has been unable to get answers for, despite consulting local authorities, libraries, and historical societies. We did record video for this episode, so look for it on our YouTube channel if you want to see Josh's photos.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 227If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element The "Line Dragon" in the Azores: https://youtu.be/Txbsx8-y1p8"Hidden Vermont" Smith Farm site: https://youtu.be/vDSBOInLOUMAssociate Executive Producers:Antonio Kasljevic
Yet another three hour show(this is a habit we're going to have to break), where we catch up on listener emails for the first half of the show, then tackle the remaining sections of "The Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh" that Kyle picked out.Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie lays out his relatively "standard model" perspective of how the pyramids may have been built, logistically speaking, using a core of year-round specialists, and an annual influx of unskilled labor from the general population during the Nile Flooding period. We find his reasoning....well...reasonable....and he also stands out from the standard model in two important respects: he believes the pyramid builders had access to iron and bronze, and that they had mechanically-assisted cutting tools with "jeweled tips" to help them in sawing and drilling of hard stone. He also gives some fascinating observations on the measurement details of the Great Pyramid, the use of Pi, and the many interesting mathematical "coincidences" of geometrical "harmony" contained in the layout of the structure.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 226If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
We thought we were going to take this week off for the holidays after last week's three hour marathon episode with Marty in which we continued going through his prepared material for the UFO series. But, there was so much information in that episode, and in the previous two episodes, that there wasn't much time for normal discussion. So we asked if Marty could return for a follow up episode to discuss the material, and also to respond to listener communications that have been building up regarding the subject of aliens and UFOs. Marty agreed, so here we are...another three hour episode as a bonus, on what was supposed to be our week off from podcasting at the end of the year. Marty returns for the end-of-year episode to dive back in to the more esoteric aspects of the UFO subject with us. As always, Marty brought an enormous amount of prepared work and research with him, which we presented on the show by having Russ read it, as we did with the previous two UFO episodes. We covered everything Marty brought this time in one episode, which means this is a massive episode that extends for more than three hours, with Marty bringing up more occult connections, strange visitations and visions, altered states of consciousness, the Collins Elite, and the seeming interest of various intelligence agencies in these phenomena.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 224If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Article discussed at the end of the episode: Stanford Professor Garry Nolan Is Analyzing Anomalous Materials From UFO CrashesExecutive Producer:"Anne who Knits"Associate Executive Producer:Laura Coutu
Sebastian Lonberg joins us again this week, this time we do take a look at, and listen to, some of the video and audio Kyle and Sebastian recorded while in Egypt. Specifically we listen to the resonant qualities of some of the boxes in the Serapeum, and Kyle and Sebastian use various tools for analysis of the frequencies, and we talk about the details we noticed regarding the quality of the boxes themselves.Sebastian also reads some excerpts from a book called Egyptian Sonics by John Stuart Reid, who did some very interesting experiments in the Great Pyramid using cymatics. The book is not available for free unfortunately, but you can find a link to John's website and a link to purchase a PDF of the book below.Egyptology :: CymaScope WebsiteEgyptian Sonics PDFThere is video of this discussion, so check our YouTube Channel if you want to see the images and video we're looking at during the show, as well as the diagnostic tools Kyle and Sebastian use.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 223If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Executive Producers:Judy Schwartz
We are joined this week by Sebastian Lonberg, an audio engineer from Sweden who was with us on the Egypt trip. Sebastian was very interested in the resonant properties of the sites and objects we visited, and we had great discussions with him while we were there about his thoughts and theories on these effects. On this episode we talk about our overall thoughts on the acoustics and the possible reasons for them. Sebastian also reads from an excellent article by Tom Danley about his explorations of the acoustical properties of the great pyramid in the late 1990s. A link to this article can be found below. We had planned on going through some of our own recordings of the various resonant properties we investigated, but we didn't have time to get to it on this show, so we will probably be recording another episode with Sebastian soon.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 222If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element The Great Pyramid: Early Reflections & Ancient Echoes by Tom DanleyAssociate Executive Producers:Antonio KasljevicGregg Taylor
We give a brief outline of the almost 3000 years of the ancient Egyptian timeline as currently understood by standard model archaeology. Dynasties, Periods, Kingdoms, what they are, when they occurred, how long they lasted. Hopefully this will help a bit when you read or hear things like "in the 19th dynasty" or "this is an Old Kingdom structure". Much thanks to listener Patty for suggesting we do this. After that, Kyle reads selections from Petrie's The Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh, specifically parts where Petrie is discussing his research on evidence for "anomalous" stone cutting evident on some artifacts from Egypt. We also tested our ability to stream the recording of this episode live to Twitch. The livestream video should remain up on Twitch for a few weeks, check the channel here if you want to see it, it will give you a bit of "behind the scenes" details and the conversations we have during the breaks.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 221

We're busy preparing for Egypt but we did want to get another episode out before we left, and what better time to catch up on listener emails right before we leave for two weeks and get way behind again?Kyle reads some excellent news stories on human origins and humans in the "new world", as well as some strange and interesting new physics. We then tackle your emails for the rest of the show, which, as always, results in some great and fun discussions.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 217If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
We're finally back from our Scablands trip and long road journey home, and, with only a week before we leave for Egypt, we plan to release a couple of episode to make up for the weeks we missed.Ben from UnchartedX was with us in the Scablands, so we got to hang out and get to know him better, and we agreed to do an episode together before we headed off to Egypt.Unlike our earlier swapcasts with Ben, this one is audio only and consists of a great philosophical discussion about the reasons we are fascinated with ancient mysteries and why we make these podcasts and videos. We talk about the origins of life, consciousness and spirituality, the rise and fall of civilization and intelligence, aliens and UFOs. We talk about Egypt and Peru and exploring ancient ruins, and at the end we go over the itinerary for our upcoming trip to Egypt.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 216If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
This episode is a free-form discussion about the topics and information presented by Marty in the UFO episodes, specifically focusing on the previous two episodes, 213 and 214, but also referencing some of the earlier UFO episodes as well.Do these complex rituals actually work? Or are they also a form of deception? Or, are they possibly Quant Suff of an actual science/technology of an earlier age? What is the nature of the things people call the "spirit" realm and the "supernatural"? Are these things accessible to science if it is advanced enough? What is the "simplest hypothesis" for the UFO phenomena? As usual, we have plenty of questions, and no answers.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 215If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
This is the second episode in the two part series of episodes titled "A History of Unlikely Coincidences" by Marty Garza. We recorded both of these in one sitting, reading through Marty's prepared material(which will hopefully become a book at some point) and discussing.By the time we finished with this episode all of us were too tired to record more, so there will be follow up to discuss these topics more at some point in the future. In this episode we continue from where we left off in the last episode with Jack Parsons, and continue forward discussing L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology, the Collins Elite, the Philip Experiment, and much more.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 214If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Marty Garza returns once again with more of his excellent research and insights into the history of the UFO phenomenon. Marty had so much material prepared that this is the first in a two-part series, the second of which will be released next week as Episode #214. We recorded both episodes in one sitting. Lots of excellent material, as usual, fascinating stuff. This time we tried something different; Russ did all the reading of Marty's prepared material, like a normal book report, allowing Marty to guide the conversation through both his written material and with further comments and responses to questions from us.As this is the first in a two part series, there isn't actually much mention of "UFOs" in this episode....that will come in the next episode as we reach the conclusions of this part of Marty's research. This episode sets the stage for what we will be exploring next week, as we look at a series of historical accounts and events starting with John Dee and his Enochian Magic, and ending with Jack Parsons, L. Ron Hubbard, and Aleister Crowley and the Babylon Working.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 213If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
David Mathisen joins us once again to discuss the celestial origins of mythology. This episode we focus on Dionysus, the god of wine and revelry. This discussion syncs up well with our current situation here in Texas, as we are in the middle of harvest season and we are making wine ourselves.David tells the story of Dionysus, the thrice-born, giving many of the details and aspects of this mythological personality, and then shows how these details and aspects can be seen in the stars and constellations. As always, David's presentations are entertaining and informative. There was video recorded with this episode, so look for that on our YouTube Channel. You can find out more about David's work at his website, https://www.starmythworld.com/Blog, books, videos, everything.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 212If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
We've been so far behind on listener emails for so long now that we decided it was time to catch up with a Listener Communications episode. Every once in a while we decide we need to make an episode that can serve as an "entry point" for new listeners, and also to talk about our current state of mind and ideas on all the topics we discuss, and how they're connected. We first tried this in Episode 82, at the request of a listener. It was a good idea, and we now think we ought to do it every so often, to talk about these subjects broadly, and to work out where we stand now.So this episode is a rambling, free-form conversation that hopefully can serve as an overview of some of the topics we explore on this podcast, and a bit about why we explore them.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 210If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element

We are joined this week by friend of the show Kyle Delisle. We met Kyle on the trip we took to the channeled scablands in Washington State earlier this year with Randall Carlson. Kyle is a Native American of the Iroquois, of the Mohawk nation, and he has been researching Iroquois traditions, legends, and mythology regarding the creation of the world, the creation of humans, giants, and other strange beings that were said to exist long ago.Kyle tells us about the formation of the Iroquois Confederacy, and the possible travels of the ancestors of his people. We read and discuss some of their stories and traditions about encounters with giants. We talk about their detailed creation stories, and speculate on the possibility that some of the symbolism in the traditions may be referring to constellations, and past catastrophes, especially the Younger Dryas period. All in all, a fascinating and illuminating conversation! Here is Kyle's conversation with David Mathisen that is mentioned during the show:https://cloister.org/david-warner-mathisen/post/y5xgccr6/Celestial-connections-in-the-Mohawk-and-Onondaga-creation-accountsAnd here is a link to the First Nations Technical Institute where you can find out more about the prophecies that we speak about in the show:https://fnti.net/Brothers of the Serpent Episode 208If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element

This is the final episode of our reading of The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson. We finish the sections on the problems of "dating by morphology" in which anthropologists use their preconceptions about the evolution of man to place their fossil findings in a chronologically linear timeline even though the actual evidence does not present so clear a picture. The final section of the book that we look at in detail is about reports and sightings of "wildmen", sasquatch, bigfoot, the yeti, and other hominid-like cryptids from around the world. With this section Cremo and Thompson are making the point that such reports possibly indicate that archaic hominids may still exist today alongside us, just as modern Homo Sapiens Sapiens may have existed alongside relict species of hominids in the ancient past.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 204If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Continuing with The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, we finish the section on the Piltdown Man discoveries and the later exposing as a very complex hoax. We then look at the details of the Beijing Man discoveries, the funding by the Rockefeller Foundation, and the methods used by the people involved to popularize this discovery when it was only a couple of teeth.Again, it should be made clear that studying these discoveries through this book is not necessarily about trying to "disprove" evolution. It is about comparing the way the discoveries that supported the mainstream ideas about evolution were treated, versus the way that discoveries that did not support mainstream ideas, were treated.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 203If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Back to our deep dive into The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson for part eight! We continue on from where we were in part seven, looking at the "Java man" discovery of what would later be come known as Homo Erectus, by Eugene Dubois, and the problems and arguments surrounding those finds at the time.We read about another paleoanthropologist, von Koenigswald, returning to the same site in Java to look for further evidence of this "missing link", and the problems with his methods. There is also an interesting event in which a Jesuit priest, who had been involved in the discovery of Beijing Man and the Piltdown fossils, arrives and helps von Koenigswald get connected with the Carnegie Institute for funding of his work.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 202If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
This episode is a celebration of 200 episodes of the Brothers of the Serpent podcast. (If you're wondering why we did this on episode 201 instead of 200, it's because the podcast starts with episode 002!)Using an extensive list of clips from older episodes, all marked and prepared by listeners, we look back at how the podcast has grown and changed, and mostly at how many dumb jokes we've made. We're joined in studio by Marty, from the UFO episodes, as a representative of the Discord SnakeForce, and they spring a huge surprise on us during the break after the first segment. It was amazing. Thanks so much to all of the Snakeforce in the discord for all the support and the huge list of clip suggestions. We take a break from the book report to talk about the ongoing UFO conversation happening in the mainstream right now. Russ gives a synopsis of Jacques Vallee's new book, TRINITY: The Best-Kept Secret, that he co-authored with Paola Harris, about a possible crash in the New Mexico desert several years before the infamous Roswell incident. We also discuss Vallee's previous works, which Russ has been re-reading, and how utterly strange this phenomena is, and how the current "disclosure", whatever it may end up disclosing, cannot possibly approach the true strangeness, or breadth and scope, of the "UFO" phenomena. In the final segment we read some Listener Communications.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 200If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Continuing on in what is becoming one of our most in depth and lengthy book dives, we move forward in The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, finishing up the anomalous human remains section with some extremely anomalous finds, including well-documented and discussed sets of human-like footprint tracks in Carboniferous strata. We then move on to Part II of the book, which details finds of ancient human remains that are well accepted in the literature and by modern science as part of the human evolutionary story, and all of the interesting and sometimes strange circumstances that surround them.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 199If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Continuing along in our exploration of The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, we finish up the cases of anomalous objects and artifacts found in very ancient contexts, placing them as far back as 2 billion years in the most extreme case, and move on to the section on actual human remains. Most of these are bones in various states of mineralization, all of which were found in strata that makes them anomalously old for hominids with modern morphology.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 198If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
We return from our Scablands trip and dive right back into The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson. We finish up the anomalous stone tools section with Sandia Cave in New Mexico and the finds in the Gold Rush mines in California, then move on to even more anomalous finds of advanced quarrying tools, embedded nails and vases, gold chains and chalk spheres, then finish up the show with the infamous Nampa Figurine, found in Idaho. This show was streamed live to the Discord chat, which we do from time to time. so if you want to be in on that next time, join the discord! As we continue our reading of The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, we look at paleolithic tools, evidence of fire usage including hearths and slag indicative of kilns, and bones of extinct animals with stone tools embedded in them, in geological contexts that place them into extremely ancient times, up to tens of millions of years old.Artifacts in glacial till in Canada, in pliocene sediments in Argentina, and advanced neolith tools in Hueyatlaco, Mexico, all point to hominids in the Americas for hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions, of years. We also look at how the scientific and paleoanthropological establishment has worked to discredit and bury these finds.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 196If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
Continuing our reading through The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, we look at more examples of ancient stone tools found in very ancient contexts through the late 1800's and into the early 1900's. In Portugal, France, Brazil, Chile, and the U.S., there were discoveries of eolithic and paleolithic tools, that were studied by many scientists and paleontologists of the day, and presented at conferences and scientific congresses for study and debate. Many times the scientists of the time decided the tools were genuine evidence of very early humans, and yet much of this evidence is now completely forgotten and does not appear in modern discussions, scientific literature, or textbooks.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 195If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
We are joined by master jeweler Jeffrey Appling to discuss ultrasonic technology in the use of cutting and shaping stone. Jeffrey has been using an ultrasonic drilling and coring machine to cut, drill, and shape even the hardest of stones and jewels with ease. The bit of the machine does not spin, the ultrasonic vibration simply allows the bit to sink into the stone, so it is possible to core out shapes that are more complex than a simple circle, and do it in minutes with relatively little work.We talk about the machine and how it works, and we talk about the possibility that the ancient Builders may have used something similar to this machine, only probably much larger in many cases, to do some of the astonishing work we see at certain ancient sites. We also look at some of Jeffrey's jewelry work, and discuss the interesting possibility that an old mission building in California may show signs of containing very old, high tech stonework concealed within rough adobe and cobblestone walls.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 194If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Be sure to take a look at Jeffrey's blog and his YouTube Channel to see more of his work, and his research into the possibility of the ancients using ultrasonic technology.Jeffrey sent us a bunch of images which we discuss on the show. In part 2 of our deep dive into The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, we finish up on the "cut bones" section of the book and move on to looking at stone tools found in exceedingly ancient geological contexts.Once again the authors give many examples of excellent finds of stone tools, bone implements, tool workshops, and fires, in sediments that are considered to be many millions of years old, far too ancient to fit the current paradigm of human evolution.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 193If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
This week we join Ben from UnchartedX and Hugh Newman, one of the founders of Megalithomania. We turn once again to Egypt and Ben's excellent footage and photos to look at the Valley Temple on the Giza Plateau, and the Osereion, as possible examples of megalithic structures showing different stages of construction, possibly built at very different times. Again, it is in the details that really interesting possibilities about these structures come forward, and we take a close look at these details on this episode. We have some excellent discussions about the possible purposes of these mysterious structures, and Hugh Newman brings new and interesting insights for us to consider. We also talk about upcoming Egypt tours. Hugh Newman is cohosting one later this year, get more details here:http://www.megalithomania.co.uk/egypt2021.htmlBrothers of the Serpent Episode 192If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Hugh Newman is an explorer, megalithomaniac and author of Earth Grids: The Secret Pattern of Gaia’s Sacred Sites (2008), Stone Circles (2017) and co-author of Giants on Record (2015) and contributed to Megalith: Studies In Stone (2018). We start our next book report series, this time on The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson. This book, which is a condensed version of their original work, "Forbidden Archaeology", is filled with fascinating anomalies of archaeology and paleoanthropology, ranging from evidence of butchering in fossilized bones, to complex constructions, all found in geological contexts that seem to put them into far earlier times that current science allows for. This episode, we read the various forwards, prefaces, and preambles of the book, establishing the methods of research and identifying the limitations of understanding in the field. We then take a look at the first set of anomalies presented in the book, which are fossil animal bones with signs of human butchering. We return again to swapcasting with Ben from UnchartedX, and this week we are also joined by Jahannah James (check out her youtube channel here) who was on the recent Egypt trip with Ben. The four of us go through Ben's footage and their observations and memories of the trip and the sites of the Karnak and Luxor temples in Egypt. We discuss the beautiful dynastic architecture, and how it seems to be surrounding and enclosing objects of a much different and possibly much more ancient nature....the monolithic statues and obelisks, for example. There are also incredibly beautiful monolithic doorways carved from single pieces of hard stone, some of which seem to have undergone a mysterious event that caused incredible damage to them.We ponder these mysteries and many more as we look at the footage and the imagery that Ben provides. And yes, we know that it is sometimes frustrating to listen to something like this when you can't see the visuals. The video will be up soon on all of our channels, so look for it there, and thanks for your patience.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 190If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element

Tony joins us this week to revisit the topic of Atlantis. This time we look at the details of the city and civilization itself, and the many possible places and times people have theorized it may have existed. Was it an antediluvian civilization, or might it have existed much more recently, in the bronze age? Was it somewhere in the Atlantic ocean, or in another body of water? We look at Morocco, Malta, Richat, Azores, Bolivia, and many other places.Possibly, as with so many of these ancient mysteries, we will never really know.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 189If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
We return to our series of video swapcasts with Ben from UnchartedX, this time to look at Ollantaytambo, the Coricancha, and a site known as "The Temple of the Moon" in Peru.As always, Ben's footage is excellent, and we spend much of the show discussing details of the strange, rock-cut and apparently heavily damaged stonework, as well as the enigmatic megalithic work of Ollantaytambo and the Coricancha. So little is known about the origins of these sites and structures, that all we can do is observe the details, ask questions, and wonder.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 188If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
This week's winter storm that came through Texas put everything on hold, including our podcast schedule, as we were iced in and the power was flickering on and off. Finally, on Friday, the snow and ice started to thaw, and we were able to get in the studio to record a show. This is a correspondence show, since we had nothing else planned. Great emails from everyone, and they spark some interesting discussions.Brothers of the Serpent Episode 187If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element
