The guys review the other Super Mario Land game for Gameboy. That is, after some of the worst attempts at banter ever attempted. Seriously, it seems this podcast just gets worse and worse and no one cares. When Retro Blissed literally ruins audio for everyone, who is to blame, really, when the warning signs have been there for all to see for years? FOR YEARS.

This week, we talk about the Xbox Series S confirmation (this was recorded before the X was confirmed too, as will become apparent), Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and cartoons that featured someone chasing a pig around a house. In Retro Corner, George talks about the fantastic game Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, and also defends Super Mario Land for some reason. What a freak. Theme song by David Cassel.
Accidentally erased the saved game for Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins. Now i have learned a fast reset will do that!
Michael joins this week from the great beyond... not really it's just a Skype call. We're glad he's back because there's lots to discuss. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have revealed the games coming to their paid online services for the month of May, and the VR updates for Zelda and Mario have sped up load times. The Sonic the Hedgehog movie has its first trailer, Jim Carrey, human teeth and all. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has a release date, alongside a new art style, Valve's new VR has been unveiled, and Epic Games acquires the studio behind Rocket League. In Games Played, Michael explores the DLC of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, takes Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on the go on Switch, and early impressions of Generation Zero. Cesar continues the Trails in the Sky, and gets stuck in loading hell in Days Gone for PS4. Richard stays on the GameBoy kick with a ROM hack of Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, and the intro to The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. He also celebrates May the Fourth with Star Wars: Battlefront (2005) on PC. We recorded this episode on video, check out our YouTube channel for this entire episode! The first level in NOCLIP Zone, Welcome to the inaugural episode of NOCLIP Pocket! Today, we're going to spend some time with Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, a Mario platformer originally released on the Game Boy. While the game itself brings what was, even in 1992, standard Mario platforming gameplay to a handheld console, the game's music and visual design make it stand out from others in what was the most ubiquitous genre at the time. We're going to talk about platforming difficulty in a nonlinear game, the origins of Wario, and rare species of flying rabbits. Thanks for listening to the first episode of NOCLIP Pocket! While recording our regular episodes is difficult at the moment, hopefully we can keep up a stream of content through this mini-show. For the next episode, we're going to be talking about Home!
Kurt and Kenneth are almost out of the 4 bit generation as we power through Six Golden Coins worth of adventure. Come have a drink with us and find out! Cheers!
