Well hello there everyone and welcome back to another episode of Trophy Talk. In this our second to last episode of 2024, the crew has all assembled together to chat about the games that have been grabbing our attention during the final weeks of the calendar year. And what an exciting end of year it's turning out to be with the game awards announcements, PSN Wrap Ups, and new games still releasing at a steady clip. 2024 will undoubtedly go down as a great year in gaming for many of us. However, while we were intending to talk about our official PS wrap ups during this episode, at the time of recording the roll out of the year in review feature was experiencing significant delays and issues, with most people unable to actually access it as intended on December 10th. The end result is that most of this episode is spent discussing Patreon submitted questions, plat shout outs, and Rage God mentions from our Discord. There's nothing wrong with that though, not in the least, as celebrating this community that we've built and the accomplishments that you all have had is one of the best parts about making Trophy Talk episodes. Topics include, what would change in our trophy hunting habits if we got banned from PSN Profiles, what game we think Trump would be an excellent commentator of, and what movie released this year would have had a great opportunity for a tie in AA game. In terms of our individual hunts and successes, Darryl talks up and praises his time on PS Extra this year with two more titles, Tales of Kenzera: Zau, and Killer Frequency. All the while, Josh continues his vole exterminations while also taking time to become incredibly proficient at a tough rhythm game Spin Rhythm XD. Finally, Colin takes some time to discuss one of his favorite ever GameCube era games in Time Splitters 2. We hope that you all enjoy the content and the episode, thank you for listening!

She's a Paulette Goddard Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies and Public Health at New York University and founder of the field of food studies. She's THE authority on food politics – in fact, she wrote the book on it – and for decades, she has been a transformative figure, working to improve our dietary choices while exposing corporate greed and injustice inherent in the food industry.   Dr. Nestle is the author of a dozen books. She appears in the hit documentary Super Size Me and the new Netflix doc You Are What You Eat, among many others. In 2023, she was awarded the prestigious Edinburgh Medal for Science and Humanities.   So tune in for an illuminating conversation with a crusader who's dedicated her life to changing our broken food system!   “I finally caught on to agriculture, that you cannot understand why people eat the food they do unless you understand how the agricultural system works. And now everything is a food system. How does the whole system work? So, I went from being a splitter to a lumper. Splitters are – the world divides into splitters and lumpers – and in the beginning, I was a splitter. Jim Harter: Culture Shock Jim Harter is Chief Scientist for the Workplace at Gallup. He has led more than 1,000 studies of workplace effectiveness, including the largest ongoing meta-analysis of human potential and business unit performance. Key Points Managers should consider these key questions to help employees and teams move towards smart autonomy: Which parts of your job can you do best at home? Which parts of your job can you do best at the office? When have you created exceptional value for our customers? When do you feel most connected to our organization's culture? In addition: Less than 5% of people in the United States worked from home in 2019. Today the number is six times larger and nearly seven in 10 full-time employees in the United States prefer some type of remote work arrangement. Number of days in the office is important, but matters less than other factors. Most associated with high levels of employee engagement is the practice of a work team deciding together (the option companies used the least). Splitters and blenders represent two different ways of approaching work and the populate tends to divide equally on this preference (even across generations). Knowing where people land will help engage them better in the workplace. Managers account for 70% of the variance in team engagement. A key habit for a manager is one meaningful conversation per week with each employee. Less important is the time of interaction and more important it the quality. Smaller amounts of time discussion recognition, goals, and strengths can be more impactful than more time that doesn't do this. “Splitters” are a challenge for hospital surgery departments, as more and more options outside the hospital facility are available to surgeons. Often, these options, such as ambulatory surgery centers, are more attractive with faster OR turnover times and fewer requirements on surgeons in preoperative and postoperative care.
