I got the Steam Controller, and give my early impressions, as well as bemoan the fact that it can only be used in Steam and not in any other PC gaming content, such as games from Xbox Game Pass or Play Anywhere. Valve is implementing a reservation queue for future shipments of the Steam Controller due to the popularity of the first wave of orders. Nintendo has increased the price of the Switch 2 due to the AI infrastructure roll out - memory and storage is more expensive now than it was when the Switch 2 was initially manufactured. New Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced that Xbox Copilot for Consoles is being discontinued, so there will not be an AI chatbot added to Xbox consoles as originally planned. Then we take a call from a blind gamer sharing how Civilization V is now completely playable for blind players thanks to a recent mod. In today's Daily Fix:PlayStation 5 prices are up across all the different hardware variants, but in the days leading up to the price hike deadline, consumers responded by buying loads of PS5s. Data from Circana shows a spike in PS5 hardware sales up until the first week of April (when prices went up in the U.S.), giving Sony their best hardware sales week in their gaming division this year. In other news, a new leak suggests the next God of War game will not only have a different character to focus on, but also feature multiple mythologies from Asia. According to the leak, Kratos' wife, Faye, will be the main character. And to round out our PlayStation-centric episode, new PS Plus games for May have been leaked, bringing Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and more to the service.

EverQuest Legends has been announced - a version of EverQuest that goes back to 1999 but adds features to allow the entire game to be soloable. Sony is increasing the PS5 price by $100 to $150 due to the AI infrastructure roll out taking all of the RAM and storage away from consumer products. Epic Games lays off 1000 Fortnite developers, including leads who were influential in Fortnite's continued success, because their legal fights with Apple and Google took more money than they thought. The Standard Process price increase and MediHerb price increase have practitioners talking, and they have a right to feel frustrated. This affects inventory, recommendations, protocols, and what patients can realistically afford. But the real problem is not just the price increase. It is what happens when frustration starts driving decisions that should still be clinical. After a Facebook post in December lit up the practitioner community, I saw reactions all over the board. Some people were frustrated. Some were ready to make big changes. Others were more neutral. And honestly, I understand all of it. But being frustrated with a company and making the best decision for a patient are not the same thing. In this episode, I'm sharing my perspective on the whole conversation, including my own history with Standard Process, what the pricing data actually showed when I went back and looked at it, and the five questions I think practitioners need to ask before they start changing products, switching companies, or reworking protocols out of irritation.
