Who killed JFK? What forces made the mind and actions of Lee Oswald? And what does it mean to be an agent of history or something called fate? DDSWTNP probe these and other big questions in multiple new episodes on Libra released over the coming month. June may be the time of Gemini, another sign of doubles in the Zodiac, but for us it's a month for the balance scale, tipping one way or the other, with some Librans like Lee not balanced at all but (as David Ferrie puts it) “somewhat unsteady and impulsive . . . Poised to make the dangerous leap.” In Episode 25: Libra (1), we discuss where DeLillo began in the 1970s in his build-up to Libra, as far back as Americana and other early novels' mentions of JFK, Oswald, the CIA, and the overwhelming Warren Report. We examine what makes DeLillo's Oswald a great but frustrating character and a portal for new dimensions in the author's examination of language, naming, and self-making. We ask what's behind the clear shifts in style, tone, and humor DeLillo makes for this historical novel, as well as the power of his place/date chapter structure, the influence of existentialist fiction, and some alternate titles he considered. And we begin working our way through all the figures and ideas surrounding Oswald, from Marxist beliefs and CIA practices of “unknowing” to Cold War obsessions with the Bay of Pigs, life in the U.S.S.R., and a losing war in Vietnam that DeLillo and readers know is coming but his characters importantly don't. Stay tuned in our Libra episodes to come for investigation of the Murray-like wit of David Ferrie, how DeLillo regards the lone gunman theory, the mysterious edits made to his “Author's Note,” the theological musings of Nicholas Branch, and much more. Texts and historical figures mentioned in Episode 25: Ann Arensberg, “Seven Seconds” (1988), in Thomas DePietro, ed., Conversations with Don DeLillo, University of Mississippi Press, 2005, 40-46. But his birth sign turned out to be Libra, the scales. I settled for that.” David Marchese, “We All Live in Don DeLillo's World. He's Confused By It Too” (2020)https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/10/12/magazine/don-delillo-interview.html Everette Howard Hunt: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Howard_Hunt Correction: the character Aleksei Kirilenko, Oswald's Soviet handler in the novel (and source for one of many Lee aliases, Alek?), is DeLillo's creation, not historical! Branch later reveals Kirilenko's real name is Sergei Broda (301). No claim about DeLillo's basis for Kirilenko/Broda, but here is information on yet another shadowy figure, defecting KGB agent Yuri Nosenko, who claimed to have been in charge of Oswald's case file in the Soviet Union: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuri_Nosenko
They knock. They stare. They ask to come in. This week on Cryptid Hunter, Alek and Randy take on one of the creepiest urban legends of modern times: the Black-Eyed Children. Are they lost kids… or something darker? From eerie door knocks and glowing black eyes to wild theories about demons, aliens, and vampire propaganda, we dig deep into what makes these encounters so unnerving. We break down the original 1996 sighting, internet lore, and how these shadowy figures went viral in true creepypasta fashion. Plus, we bring you a new "What Did I Just See?" submission straight from Reddit, and of course—plenty of hypotheticals, jokes, and wild speculation.

Oskar and Alek, the creative duo behind DONT BLINK from Germany and Estonia, now based in Bali, fuse techno, progressive, and indie dance to craft infectious grooves that captivate global audiences. In a podcast conversation, Oskar shared insights on life, music, and the excitement of performing for large crowds, while also addressing mental health and loneliness. He recounted his journey from childhood saxophonist to co-founding their label, lowceilingmusic, with Alek. Oskar spoke modestly about his fan base, which includes renowned DJs, and mentioned their upcoming summer tour in South America and Europe following their early 2025 tour in Australia and Southeast Asia. Their label features tracks from various artists, including John Summit, a friend he made during the pandemic. It was a delightful discussion with a passionate individual whose authenticity shone through, particularly when talking about his crew's love for frisbee and exploring new places. You can connect with Don't Blink on Instagram @styline | @dontblinkmusic or check out his/her website https://dontblink.io

Is it a bear? Is it a dog? Or is it a prehistoric nope? In this episode of Hypothetically Sound: Cryptid Hunter, Alek and Randy dive headfirst into the strange and extinct creature known as the BearDog—a beast that once roamed the Earth looking like a canine-bear combo straight out of a nightmare. We're talking big teeth, massive size, and just enough fossil evidence to raise some weird questions. We're not scientists—just a couple of curious minds goofing off and digging into the weird side of nature, cryptids, and mythology. If you like your prehistoric monsters with a side of laughter, this one's for you.

John Armstrong website Harveyandlee.net John has SIX new videos on Youtube he's created, highlighting the police transcriptions of 11/22/63. John's book Harvey and Lee was published in 2003, with a focus on chronological order of events. The Tippit murder starts off John's new series of videos, with the Tippit shooting broken down. John recently discovered the Dallas police transcripts on November 22, 1963 have been altered! Sgt. Vincent claims he rode with Oswald on a CIA plane that landed in Dallas, later flying to NM. John feels one Oswald was using ALEK Hidell as an alias, the other Oswald used ALEX. Alek with a K was the Russian born 'Oswald'. John explains the four different Dallas Police transcripts that were created The FBI altered the police transcripts! Why did they change the time of the Tippit murder to 1:15 PM? John feels Hoover purposely delayed the release of the police transcripts to the Warren Commission. It's noted in the transcripts that THREE ambulances were dispatched to the Tippet scene. Why 3? Ambulance driver Jason Butler was at the scene for less than a minute, Tippit's time of death 1:10 P.M. Why didn't the witnesses or police at the Tippit murder scene mention the multiple ambulances? Len reflects on John's ability to break down the transcripts so he could recognize the conflicting info. Rankin wrote to Hoover in June pointing out the discrepancies of Tippit's death happening at 1:10 PM. Rankin asked the Secret Service in Dallas to get an original transcript from the Dallas Police. Timelines need to be created with information broken down in order to see the discrepancies. In 1991 John took a JFK class given by author & researcher Jim Marrs after the JFK movie release. Reading the Warren Commission volumes has helped expand John's knowledge of the assassination. Read Airman Palmer McBride's testimony in WC Exhibit 1386, he worked with Oswald in NO. McBride worked with Lee at the Pfisterer Dental Laboratory in the Fall of '57 into late Spring of '58. How could McBride be working with Oswald in New Orleans, when Lee had enlisted & was in Japan? Mcbride's testimony is what got John started thinking about the possibility of two child Oswalds. In Robert Oswald's WC testimony he stated Lee went to Stripling Junior High School in Ft. Worth. How could Lee have went to Stripling Junior High when he'd gone to jr high in NY & New Orleans? The government's version is that Lee graduated from Beauregard High School in New Orleans. John contacted school district officials, retired teaches & staff to find more information on Lee. Retired assistant principle Mr. Kudlaty confirmed that Lee had in fact gone to W.C. Spripling Jr. High. Frank Kudlaty had personally given the FBI Lee's Stripling Jr. High school records. Where are Lee's Stripling Jr. High school records now? FBI reports state Lee was in Russia but buying jeeps at Bolton Ford in New Orleans? Spotting the differences in testimony enabled John to see that there were at least two child Oswalds George DeMohrenschildt's WC testimony stated he felt Lee's Russian was well developed. Can a child drop out of the 9th grade & then teach themselves how to read & speak Russian? John met with Anita Ziger who stated the Lee her family knew in Russia did not speak Russian. Alexander Ziger, Anita's father, was Oswald's boss in Russia. John feels the Russian Oswald was brought to the USA as an orphan child shortly after WWII. Marina stated when she first met Oswald, he spoke Russian, with a Baltic accent. Was Lee able to learn how to speak Russian by taking courses or attending the language schools? Who are we to believe? Where did Oswald learn how to speak sophisticated Russian? Why did Oswald have TWO wallets on him? Why wasn't info about the 2nd wallet disclosed in 1963?
